Great Location, Small Room

Fantastic location 1 block away from the Berri Train Station, but room itself was small. Amenities are also lacking, with no conditioner provided, and iron only available upon request. Solid value though for the location and if you don't plan on spending much time in the room.

A little sketched out

Following the GPS to LaBelle street, we were completely caught off guard by the scenery. Abandoned, boarded up buildings and lots of street people with dogs were everywhere. Good value

This hotel is very clean and comfortable with friendly, helpful staff. The central location is very convenient for both bus and metro connections. The downtown area is not the most attractive, but once inside the hotel everything is lovely. Considering breakfast is included it represents excellent value.

I really liked the hotel. The room was nice and loved that it had a little kitchenette. Everything was clean and the hotel is situated close to the Latin Quarter, the Gay Village and shopping further up on Rue Sainte-Catherine. Don't Let the Neighborhood Fool You

The location affords very easy access to the airport via the 747 bus and is just off of the nightlife along St. Denis. The end of the block is a bit scruffy, but the hotel, staff, and amenities are tremendous!

Hotel location was great for walking to the old town and access throughout the city via the metro but, as others say, it was a bit scary at night with so many down and outs hanging around the nearby streets. 3 Nights Stay

We stayed here for three nights and found the hotel to be extremely accessible and being a short distance to all the attractions. Wifi was included but extremely slow. The bed was not the most comfortable. We wanted to stay another night but the charges increased significantly due to thanksgiving long weekend.

Weekend in Montreal

Attended a wedding and combined sight seeing. Nice location for a walk to old Montreal, Chinatown, and the many festivals being held downtown. Room was clean. Hotel breakfast was adequate. I had a room with one bed and it was tight for 2 people. Wifi only worked in the lobby. I was on the third floor, no signal at all.Overall it was a pleasant stay for the price.

We spent a 5 day trip in the winter at this hotel and it was very enjoyable. The hotel was walking distance to many good restaurants/areas. For a fall/winter trip to Montreal this hotel offers basic accommodations, but is clean and the staff are friendly. Have stayed multiple times as having a kitchen is great and the buffet breakfast is decent. Cheap and totally worth it. If you want superb comfort, stay at a higher-end place

Very comfortable; great value

Met with four colleagues, all attending the Montreal Conference. Three of us stayed here.Breakfast (included) was quite satisfactory - even though it was the same spread every day; staff were very solicitous and helpful,and I always had a good night's sleep. Exactly what I expected.

Great place to stay

Brilliant hotel. Not the fanciest (not that it matters to us), but it worked well for us. We were in town for a concert & had plans to go out after. The hotel's location was perfect for going to the concert, getting dinner, hitting a club, and heading into Old Montreal the following day. The staff were fantastic & extremely accommodating. We'd go back there in a heartbeat.

Very convenient location as it is close to the bus terminal for long-distance buses and the bus 747 to/from the airport. Surrounding the bus terminal, there are money exchange shops, too. Good location for getting away by car avoiding downtown traffic.

Basic basic

Rooms were clean and quiet, but spartan. Hotel is on a seedy side street, but close to most attractions. The "American" breakfast was nothing but bread, I later found out they moved the breakfast area without telling anyone.

The hotel is initially difficult to find because of construction in the area. The rooms are quiet, clean and set up like suites. Budget accommodations, decent location

While on a 2-day leisure side-trip to Montreal, I quickly made reservations online the day of my arrival. The rating of 3-stars was undeserved..too high. On the plus side, the hotel was only a half block away from the Berri-UQAM metro station, making intracity travel quite easy & convenient. I enjoyed the generous hot breakfast in the am. Great Hotel! Great location!

We were in Montreal for out 1 year anniversary. We went to see the Biodome, Casino, and Old Montreal and this hotel was in a perfect location near all of those. The only complaint I had about this hotel was that I purchases a room with a queen size bed and the bed in the room we were given was clearly a double, not a huge deal though. Great location, good breakfast, friendly staff!

Spent three nights at this hotel with two other adults. We shared a room with two double beds. The hotel was very clean and that staff was very pleasant and helpful. Location was not bad at all.
