History
Established in 1926
The Kelowna Hotel Eldorado's history reads like a fairytale, complete with royalty and adventure. The Hotel Eldorado's origins trace back to the Countess Bubna Litite of Austria. The Countess...

Combining a 1926 building with a modern addition, this boutiquey lakeside lodging is one of Kelowna's more stylish options. In the older "heritage" wing, the rooms are all different, done up with 1930s-style furnishings, vintage radios, and clawfoot tubs. The spacious rooms in the new wing feel like they belong in an upscale summer cottage, with cork floors and plush furnishings. Overlooking... more
This is one of the most charming places to stay in Kelowna if you like historic inns. With a history dating back to 1926, the waterfront Eldorado has been fully restored and is now decorated with a unique mix of antiques; a wing with 30 new guest rooms and six luxury suites was added in 2005. All rooms are individually decorated, and there's a wide mix of floor plans and layouts, some with CD... more
Had a great stay in the Arms building. Our King room had a partial view of the lake looking northward. It was a beautiful view of the quiet marinas and fall colours along the lake. Our bed was super comfortable and the room was spacious, especially the bathroom with separate tub and shower.
Fantastic venue for an event! The old world charm and modern conveniences combine to make Eldorado an outstanding choice for an affair.
The Hotel Eldorado was incredible right from the start. We chose to have our wedding reception there after a tour we had of the hotel where we notice the charm and warm, personal feel of the venue. The wedding team answers e-mails immediately and helps you plan your special day right down to the last detail, checking and re-checking with you to make sure they have everything just the way you... more
Hotel was very nice had a very late check in and was a fast transition to the room a little hard to locate but was worth the trip only down call was they start there property maintance early in the morning and there was construction on the road out front so was very noisy in the morning other than that had a please t stay
Expérience agréable ,avons passe trois jours de bon temps ,la restauration n'est pas très élaboré les mets présente n'ont pas la côté par rapport au autres services de l'hôtel.
Great place, location, amenities. etc. Staff were great. We'll come back again
Loved the hotel... the food service was a bit slow and noisy (there was a large group dining when we were there and they kind of took over the whole vibe of the place and ordered all the lamb!)
We have had good meals here before ( 6 years ago) but this time it was not good at all.
Three of us ordered the steak and when it arrived they were all over cooked. At $44.00 per steak one would expect that they would know the difference between Medium and well done. The sides were bland and unappealing service at the restaurant reception was borderline rude and the wait staff seemed to have us...

Made reservation through Triviago and Expedia. When I arrived I was told my room was likely to be very noisy unless I was willing to pay extra for a room upgrade. Needless to say I paid, but what a rip off. I will never go back and hope others will be forewarned, expect to have a c@!%!y noisy room, or be required to pay extra for an "upgrade" on arrival. Terrible customer service.
Room was ok, clean enough, corner unit with windows on 2 sides. There was a terrible stench on the third and fourth floors the last day we were there. The restaurant in the hotel was overpriced and just ok. $16 for a spinach salad with a few tomatoes and goat cheese paired with mediocre service was disappointing. So many staff members walking around, doing nothing really while we waited and... more
Great view, great setting overlooking Okanagan Lake and the service was fantastic. I would highly recommends this place. Sticky toffee pudding was out if this world.
We stayed in the Arms side ... great room; big windows, good size, clean, lovely cork flooring. Ate at the restaurant once for breakfast and once for dinner. Good food and service (had the rose wine - would definitely not recommend). Fitness facilities are limited but didn't seem to be a problem since I seemed to be the only one in the hotel using it!
Huge Sunday buffet , we got there at 2:25 so cut off was 2 pm
Ordered from the shortened Sunday menu, sat dock side outside with misters keeping the 33c heat at bay (sorry)
Clam chowder 5/5, calamari 3/5, custom order crispy cheese pizza 4/5, fish and chips 4.5/5
Burger 5/5
Yummy
Loved this hotel - on our way to Banff , wish e could stay longer !
Excellent location on the lake front, very good restaurant and helpful but unintrusive staff. Wonderful old school hotel.
Came in to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. The El was very welcoming and pleasant. Even though the hotel hosted two wedding functions over the weekend, I did not hear any noise. They must have done a great job of sound-proofing. Coffee at the hotel is excellent, a local organic blend. The food was very tasty (I recommend the Calamari). The boardwalk runs along the hotel and takes you to... more
Un des hôtels, sinon le meilleur, de ceux situés au bord du lac à Kelowna.
Lovely stay at a beautifully appointed hotel. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The location on the waterfront at the marina is outstanding. We will be back for sure.
Hotel has lots of character and is in excellent condition. No need to go out to eat. It has the best restaurant in town. The wait staff are very young and very forgetful. Also not on top of menu descriptions. The food was fantastic but rarely as waitress described. Don't miss the roof top.
We enjoyed our stay and are pleased to say that the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a lot of history but could use some freshening up. As mentioned below, the breakfast menu could be expanded but we certainly enjoyed the lunch menu with friends outside on the deck overlooking the marina.
The view from the restaurant of this hotel is amazing! The service from the minute I pulled up to the hotel was fabulous- someone came right out to my car and grabbed my bags. The check in process was also was quick and easy. The negatives: my room was on smaller side, the bed pretty much took up the whole room. It was also a bit loud at night as footsteps on the wood floors could be hear very... more
This was a last minute reservation which turned out to be perfect. There is a 1940's charm to the El Dorado which is reminiscent of parts of Cape Cod. We loved the lakeside location and dining on the boardwalk as the sun set, watching the boaties come and go. When I win the lottery I am coming back to hire your chef for my personal staff - the fish and chips were to die for - so crisp. Score:... more
The hotel itself is very well appointed with an absolutely gorgeous view and and interesting history but a 15-20 minute drive to downtown Kelowna but there are restaurants 15 minutes away one can walk to. We stayed in the heritage queen lakeside room with balcony . Loved the balcony with its beautiful view of the lake. We were advised that it could be noisy as it was over the pub. But it didn't... more
Ended up at the El Dorado after I rolled the dice with Hotwire. Most hotels in Kelowna right now are over $200/night, so at $160 this seemed like a steal.
I wouldn't pay full price to stay here...or gamble with Hotwire at that price again. If I find myself in Kelowna again, I'll probably try a B&B...even though I'm not a B&B girl...
It's "quaint" and "rustic". Cork flooring, big bathroom with a...

Great hotel but the check in staff where kinda snobby
Energetic and friendly staff make this hotel on the beach a pleasant place to stay. A high point is the open veranda style dining (we had a great brunch) beside the lake. Food, presentation and service are more than adequate. We liked the cork floors in our room. A relaxing and pleasant spot on Okanagan lake with beaches and boat rentals at hand.
The hotel was great - nice location and setting, clean room, and good amenities. However, the room we had was VERY noisy and the customer service at the front desk was less than ideal.
The hotel is very nice but the room I had was very small. The window is so high you have to stand on the furniture to see out of it. Was rated as mountain view room, which is ok, and I do understand I was in the original part of the building, but this could have been explained a little better. The room overall was clean and the staff exceptional. The restaurant was very good and the food tasted... more
We had a 4 day getaway at the Eldorado and loved everything about it. Every staff member was personal and engaging, thoughtful and helpful. Our room was large, beautiful & bright with floor to ceiling windows, very clean, turned down beds at night with chocolates left on the pillows. Amazing staff and venue! Worth every penny spent! Beautiful location :)
The entire team at The El were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. They responded to every question in a timely manner, were accommodating to special requests, and even were coordinating our families right down until I walked down the aisle. The El has a very beautiful venue for weddings, the rooftop patio is unique in the Okanagan, the view is just breathtaking. The Great Room also... more
Had a really great stay! Stayed in the Luxury suite and ZERO complaints! Such a nice room with a great view. Very roomy and the jet tub was the best! The bar downstairs seemed to be a popular place to be on a Friday night. Very busy but service was still great. My favorite thing..... The pool, hot tub and sauna. Heated just right and I could have stayed in the pool for hours.
We went to this hotel with another couple for Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. We stayed in the newer wing and our friends stayed in the older wing in a room with a jacuzzi tub. Our room was smaller, but brighter with a nice patio. The room also included a DVD and CD player.
I found the older rooms to be dark and stuffy with the dark green walls and English decor. The jacuzzi tube was nice to...

Just had a wedding reception there this weekend for my brothers wedding. Top marks for their staff supporting their very professional wedding department there. Perfect buffet survive, very fresh and flavourful food, presented very nicely.

45 minute walk to Downtown
Lovely setting and great decor.
Meals were good but not inexpensive or moderately priced.
\n\n
Room was so small luggage had to be placed on available seating.
No desk space for writing or PC without blocking TV sitting on desk.
To be fair, some rooms at the same price were slightly larger.
Stayed just for one summer night. It seems there is boat hiring nearby to go fishing or so. Our rooms were in a separate building, seemed to be renovated not long ago. The room was reasonably clean. However there is no much to do around the hotel. Room rate is quite high compared with others.
The decor was fabulous. Didn't feel like a cookie cutter hotel. Spectacular view. Great staff. Food was very good. Really fabulous for a single female traveler. Will take my hubby next time. Highly recommended!
Hotel Eldorado is a nice refurbished historic hotel and restaurant right on Lake Okanagan in the Kelowna neighborhood of Pandosy. It actually boasts two restaurants, but that is hard to tell at the outset: one outside on the dock front (a more casual spot) and a more upscale indoor restaurant, with a detailed menu, tucked inside the hotel itself and its in adjoining sunroom facing the water.

The hotel was very accommodating after I discovered that they did not
have a reservation for me even though I had a booking.com confirmation.
\n\n
The hotel did not have a room reservation from booking.com. Luckily it
was a Sunday night and they had a room for us. Next time, if I ever book
with booking.com again, I will confirm ahead to make sure that I really
do have a reservation.
Lovely feel to the hotel. Cozy room, finished well. No complaints at all. Breakfast was okay...will probably eat elsewhere next time but look forward to heading back soon.
Very quiet air con room as it was 36c outside. Stunning location on the lake. Most friendly and helpful staff. Food and service in the restaurant was superb. Great place to relax and unwind after weeks of travelling. It's the best kept secret in Kelowna.
\n\n
Nothing. It's brilliant.
Excellent location.
Staff were very friendly and efficient.
\n\n
Lunch and dinner menu not very exciting.
Some of the old menu favourites had disappeared.
We had a follow-up call within 10 minutes of getting into the room that struck us as being excellent customer service.
Location was great , they have heavenly beds extremely comfortable, the roam was clean and nice.
\n\n
Corridors have odor , it smells like sea food in the second floor except the room. The pool is tiny but the location is still great.

Loved the cork floors (clean and hygienic) rather than standard carpeting. Great older hotel atmosphere.
\n\n
Parking a bit limited but valet parking sorted things out.
room view of the lake with balcony overlooking the boardwalk/water was great.
\n\n
a little noisy with the restaurant & bar below the room but did not carry on too late (we were informed of this prior to our check-in).
I liked the balcony and boutique feel of the hotel where the past connects with the present.
\n\n
No coffee in the room. I was not informed about the coffee in the lobby. SO my caffeine addicted spouse was having a hard time in the morning.
Loved everything! The staff were amazing and very accommodating! Super cute, comfy rooms and beautiful views!
\n\n
The only thing I could say, and this wasn't even a big deal as we were in no real rush, the food was a little slower. Worth the wait though! :)
the service we received was way above average!
\n\n
Absolutely nothing
I've been staying at the El for years on business. On a recent trip though I was disappointed with the Burger and Pizza. The food out of the dining room however is gourmet! And top tier.
I liked the food and the staff were friendly
\n\n
my roon was tiny with a view of the lake if you stood on your toes through a small window. not good! also I could hear every noise that everyone made. I would not stay at this hotel again because it did not give me a comfortable and quiet stay
Food in teh restaurant was excellent; location of the hotel was great and we enjoyed the view from our generous balcony
\n\n
Room was a bit noisy on 2nd floor because of people walking above with shoes on hardwood floors

The view was unsurpassed. They dropped off a newspaper for us and had a hot coffee station down the hall which was lovely. We spent our mornings our on the deck overlooking the lake and sipping our coffee. The evenings were spent in the bar downstairs, excellent food and a great crowd. We like things a bit slower paced, this bar would be comfortable for any age group

I really liked the ambiance, history and photos on the walls. Our room didn't have a view but it was very nice.

So, I'm still in Kelowna visiting Grandma for Christmas. She wanted to go to the P&Q again, but it was closed as it was boxing day.

Avondmaaltijd in restaurant viel wat tegen.
The rooms were very cute. Very cape cod like. They upgraded us to a lake view room when we arrived.
\n\n
The pool was very small.
Great evening.
Dinner in the temporary lounge (lounge was closed for liquor license violation)
Very comfy beds, spotless room & free wifi.
Rooms are small and pricey- and there is a lengthy line for bland food. The location and decor are superb.
We had a great time. We love the older part of the hotel. The hotel has so much character.
\n\n
In the evening we could hear noise from the dining room. When we paid online for the room it did mention it however the way it was written I didnt read it until after i had pre-paid. It wasn't that big a deal but it was one thing we didnt like.
Shower was quite loud if you're still in bed trying to sleep.
The heritage style room was cozy and clean. The hotel was quiet and reception was friendly. I liked the fact that coffee was strong fresh and hot and real cream was available verus the fake stuff. Nice to have real cups and saucers and glass in the rooms

We had the Sunday brunch, which was quite adequate. The serving staff

Great location. Quiet rooms. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Excellent food.
The front desk staff were extremely friendly upon our arrival so our first impression was fantastic. : ) The room was great, the bed was very comfortable and the room service quick. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely be back.
The view of the lake and across, the location is good. The historic aspect of the main building. The staff was great, even allowed us to go up on the roof early to take some pictures before we left town.
Swimming pool, staff very friendly, comfortable room

Hotel Eldorado is a well maintained boutique hotel with friendly, competent staff. It is well located yet still quiet. Overlooks the lake with a great roof top terrace for relaxation. Very good in-house meal service.Comfortable, very clean rooms. Would recommend it.
Everything. Location. Quality.

The bar was noisy but only people enjoying their evening.
Could have been helped with carpet and soft furnishings to absorb noise.
Excellent staff, very nice rooms, lovely location, although a bit out of town.
**Disclaimer: I only came for the Sunday brunch buffet, so I can't comment on the hotel itself or any other non-buffet related stuff**

There really is no better place to eat in Kelowna. Especially in the summer looking for food on the patio, right beside the water.

We spend a lot of time at the Eldorado and so obviously we enjoy it. However last night they hosted my wife's 40th birthday party and I have to say they really impressed me again. Nice place. When we booked over the phone were warned that there might be some noise from the restaurant below. The 'restaurant' turned out to be a bar/nightclub that blasted the bass so loud we couldn't sleep. I won't be staying here again.
Got engaged here! I have fond memories of the restaurant and that evening. I think the waitress was more choked up than I was. he he.
Anyway... the restaurant is right on the lake and you'll enjoy perfect views.
The food is great, the service is very professional and the atmosphere is 'fine dining' but not stuffy/snooty.
I have eaten there about 6 times in the last 2 years for either lunch or dinner and have never been disappointed.
We always are seated with out a reservation, and the service is great. I like the plain tshirts and skirts or shorts that the waiters and waitresses wear, its very suiting for this water facing restaurant, with alot of history.

It's all about the Sunday brunch and the great atmosphere on the boardwalk. I stayed here last week and to have dinner right next to the water with the sun shining was a big bonus to the solid service and quality food from the unique menu.
