Simple, comfortable, central

Second stay in this simple guest house very conveniently located on Plateau in Montreal. The essentials: croissants for breakfast, coffee, wine, stovetop, refrigerator. No pool, just nice views of the rooftop cats. I will make this my HQ from now on.

Good hotel on a hip part of town

I preferring staying in the St. Denis neighborhood over the downtown area. No complaints about the staff, cleaniness, and condition of the room. It' good for the price you pay for. There is a jazz bar down stairs so a little bit of noise going pass midnight. It's not too bad, I slept right through it.

Good location

The room was a nice size and included a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. I was a little hesitant about the murphy bed, but it was comfortable. My only complaint would be that the room was too warm and there was no way to control the air conditioning (if there was any, I never did figure it out). The daily fresh croissants were amazing. I would stay here again. I would just not do it in July.

Exactly what we needed

Out of the several hotels we stayed in during our trip to Quebec province, this was our favorite. It was like a mini-apartment in the middle of a great neighborhood. Nice and comfortable, but very inconvenient that we could not receive wifi in the room, which the hotel staffs had known before.

Not like it used to be

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past and it is clear the service has gone down. Our room was dusty and clearly not dusted for a few months. The cleaning service did a minimal amount of cleaning while I was there and in some cases neglected the whole room.

We loved the location: wonderful restaurants, shopping, convenient to jog up Mont Royal, cafes and friendly people. My girlfriend and I stayed her for two night. She went to McGill so knew the area quite well and recommended we stay right on St Denis. I had to change my flight in to Montreal last minute to a red eye so
missed sleeping the night at the hotel but I did come for a few hours
next day to rest after flight and the hotel allowed me to stay for a few
hours past the check out time. The hotel is clean and located in a great

Major disappointment

We came up from New York for a romantic weekend in Montreal... Montreal was great, but avoid this hotel! Major attitude on the part of certain staff members, rooms were a bit worse than advertised and overall it was a fairly negative experience. Still great quality

We first stayed here in 2005 and we were back for 3 nights in February, the hotel is still spotless and in excellent condition. The front desk staff was always very helpful checking our flights, looking up directions and weather. Great little find

We stayed herebased on a recommendation of a friend who lived in Montreal. The hotel is more like an apartment, is very quaint, and CLEAN!
Although the room itself was tiny, it had everything we needed and then some- a little kitchenette even. Since we spent most of our time sight-seeing, this room did the job.

We stayed at the Hotel-Studio Anne ma soeur Anne for 4 nights in mid-September 2007. Our room was a standard double for $130 CAD/night but we were given a 10% discount with our AAA card. With the high Canadian taxes the total came to $145/night CAD.

Cute hotel, cute neighborhood

Very nice small place in a fun, "young" area with lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. I booked a room with an outdoor terrace which was unfortunately too cold to really use even though it was only Columbus Day weekend. My only complaints about the room were that it smelled of cigarette smoke and the bed was not all that comfortable.... plus

Comfortable and perfect for the price

My friend and I were thrilled to find that our simple studio room was equipped with a kitchenette, small refrigerator, toaster oven, TV, and Murphy full bed. There was not much room when the Murphy was pulled down, but this did not bother us. The decor was simple (Ikea) and thoughtfully done-- nothing seems done to be cheap.

Good Bed and Breakfast style

We enjoyed our stay at Anne MA. The only complaint if any was the bed was a bit small and the television was a 13 inch. Other than that the other reviews are right on the money. Good value and great room overall. The parking was $6 Canadian for 24 hours. Would stay again!

A True Taste of Montreal

I was very impressed with this hotel. The staff were great and very helpful. The rooms were well appointed and cozy. Very clean. A little noisy, but not unexpected on Rue St Denis. I stayed at this hotel with my husband. Everything about this place was terrible. The ceiling was leaking, it smelled of mold. I asked for a better room and the guy at the desk said 'I don't have they key to the good room.'
