I was there once and it is a normal place, nothing special
My girlfriends and I love hot house, we meet up here at least once a week!! The service is amazing and the food is delicious, the pizza is my personal fav. The winterlicious menu was great, offered a wide variety, and gave us the chance to try different things. The vegetarian dishes are to die for!!
The staff is friendly and accommodating. They welcomed my friends and I as soon as we walked in the door and seated us right away.
There are lots of menu options to choose from and they are all rich in flavor. The over sized patio is perfect for a large get together in the summer.
Delicious food and great patio in summer ,enjoy some wine...yum. Pizza..that's amore...private rooms for corporate functions...what else can you ask for..check it out...delicioso
it is not cheap, but you could skip dinner the night before and fill up on all the wonderful things being offered. the food is delicious and the live music is a nice touch too. good for a special occasion.
I've been at this restaurant for lunches and dinners with reps & clients and can always count on exceptional quality and service. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is second to none. Great venue for corporate parties or future team events. Tell your friends...... :)
Hot house cafe has great pasta, pizza and vino! The tomato basil soup warms me up on those cold winter days and the hot house penne is my favorite!

Lovely background music and a great stop for lunch or dinner. Its a little pricey but nothing shocking and you get a pretty decent portion.
Had the warm chicken salad and shared the dip appetizer and it was really great for a light meal!! I highly recommend it if you are in the area!!
This place has a great brunch. The food is unbelievable! They have jazz music to enjoy while you eat or you can sit on the patio and people watch on Front St which is also good Sunday morning fun! It's about $20 for the brunch which may seem a little pricey for breakfast but trust me its well worth it!
Hot House Cafe at the corner of Church and Front Streets specializes in pizza and pasta. Cajun Shrimp Fusilli, Grilled New Zealand Rack of Lamb and Jambalaya are some of the items on the menu.
This is one of our favourite places to go for Brunch. It is full of wonderful food, from salads, roasts, entrees and breakfast foods. The deserts are also very excellent. In face there is too much for one person to sample it all. The service is fantastic and the ambiance is wonderful. It's a treat to come here for brunch!
This place is definitely for brunch on Sunday that you have to book well in advance. It is always pretty busy but finally after a couple of times that I've tried to book it for me and other 2 friends we finally found a spot on a Sunday morning around 11:30am. The food is very abundant and all the staff there is …
AVOID. My co-workers and I went for lunch and I cringed when this place was even suggested. I went along with it because I didn't want to come across high maintenance. Now I know why I don't come to this place. This place is lucky they're getting even ONE star from me. First off we waited an hour for …
Had the pollo pasta. Did not like the use of half-shell pasta for this dish. Also tried a bite of the dill salmon which I guess was ok if you like dill. Side veg were doused in oil. It was basically as good as I expected. I would give it 2.5 if I could. It was not horrible or anything, just not something I'd pay money for again. Was surprisingly busy for a Sunday night though.
I love this restaurant . Such variety of food and excellent service! I visit this restaurant at least once a week!
Magda and I went to this great restaurant for our dinner one evening. I don't remember what I ordered but I know that the food was wonderful! I remember the attractive waiter we had and he also served me at brunch the following day! So wonderful that I returned the next day for Sunday Brunch where a buffet was served with a wide range of choices and we had live jazz played! I highly recommend... more
The Hot House Cafe was picked for brunch for the VT Toronto Meeting because of it's location - downtown, walking distance to many hotels, and to the subway; and also because of the fact that it didn't request a deposit for a group (keep it inexpensive for organisers) and the price for brunch. Some of the hotels had supposedly marvelous brunches but they started at $24 dollars... this was $16.95... more
Hot House Cafe is my favourite restaurant in Toronto. Their food portions are generous, delicious, and competitively priced. Their menu selection is primarily Italian / Mediterranean, though they offer many other choices (inclduing a good selection of Vegetarian dishes).
The atmosphere is casual yet refined. Families can just as easily show up in shorts / jeans / grubs, or dress up a little...

WooHoo! What a place!
You couldn't tell to look at me, but I'm not a very big eater (meaning I don't have a huge appetite). However, there places that I remember and places that offer such an amazing array of food that even I succumb to glutonous behavior. And only because I want to sample and taste everything! Well, it was not humanly possible here, but what a pleasurable challenge...

I thoroughly enjoyed the company at this location - as it was the final meet-up for the VTers who had traveled in to Toronto for the big meet. But, the food was also fabulous! The buffet had a waffle bar, wonderful roast beef, asian delights, lox, great breads, pastries, and many other wonderful choices!
The company was grand as I had a little more time to visit w/ spgood, LoriPori and...

Had to wait an hour and half for Sunday brunch but worth every minute of it. I have never seen so many desserts in the one place, (and ive been on an all-inclusive in Cancun). The hot food was very tasty and the three man omlette station....mmmm.
Favorite Dish: Anything you want in it omlette or the dessert table. Have a wheel barrow handy so someone can wheel you out when you are unable to walk.
The Hothouse cafe is right downtown Toronto and has a really good selection of a wide variety of international dishes. They specialize in Pasta and pizzas but have wonderful salmon and a really good all you can eat buffet on some days. They also have an extensive Sunday brunch.
Favorite Dish: I had the buffet for $12.95 (Wednesday nights) but pretty much everything is good.
Perhaps one of the best Sunday Brunch I have ever had was at the HOT HOUSE CAFE'. They had an amazing spread with roast beef, salmon, unbelievable salads, pasta, dessert table and made-to-order omelets. I really wish I could have had a doggy bag for later as you can only eat so much. At $16.95 per person, which doesn't even include your coffee ( extra @ $1.95) it is a little pricey but it is... more
I did not get a picture of this but when we walked back to the area where we were having our meetin there was a couple of candles on the end of the bar's passbar. You could tell they had been there a LONG time as the numerous candles that had burned there melted into a large heap of white wax.
Totally cool.
I liked the brightness of the room from the skylights. It was a grey day outside but...

Whoever rated this a 5 staryouve got to be kidding meThis restaurant might look palatable from the outside but the food tastes like processed food from the package
The food is so yummy. They have a breakfast buffet that is delicious and a dinner buffet during the week. The buffet gives you the best value for your money but try ordering from the menu too everything is delicious And I love the location the patio is a nice place to eat.
ymmmm.dont forget to try their jumbalayavery ncie location at front street. They even have live music on weekends sometime.
ive been to this place a two separate visits. the restaurant offers
a huge seating capacity and a variety of food dishes. the brunch
was incredible with every dish imaginable. i would recommend
this place for brunch only.
For a brunch, this place is great. They run the brunch Sunday mornings
with live jazz. Get a reservation because the place is packed.
The brunch is actually a buffet, but unlike a typical buffet the
food is fresh a hot. The omelettes are made to order and the waffles
are turned out right before your eyes. One of the waiters will
carve you fresh beef. They have huge bread, cheese and fruit...

I've only been here for the Sunday Brunch, and it's been a while,
but wow!!
Such a great array of dishes to try for brunch, from custom made
ommelettes, to fresh carved roast beef.
Salads and sweets, cereals and breads.
All you could want in a very nice place. (plus live jazz trio)
