Five years ago, I was in an accident where I received serious whiplash injuries to my upper back and neck. I went to see Douglas Hanna, one of the Holness lawyers at the time. After sustaining a significant back injury and concussion resulting from the negligence of a major Canadian chain, I called to present to their firm. I was told by a polite receptionist that one the attorneys would get back to me within one or two days. That did not happened and they never did call, period.

I also had Jaqueline Small as a lawyer, on a claim that was labelled a low velocity impact by ICBC. ICBC is very dismissive of those type of impacts, in spite of the fact that I could not work for 2 weeks, had difficulty thinking straight and could hardly move. Eventually, I was left with annoying, chronic back pain on activity, which I had not had before. Jackie did a great job in a tough case!
