Comfortable Stay and Great Location

Unclean, noisy and prank call...

We brought our pet, and the first thing it sniffed out was an empty coke can and Smarties underneath the bed. A bunch of high school kids that weekend, so it was quite noisy and even received a rude prank call.

Very good clean hotel

The hotel is really clean and good friendly staff. Only complain will be the wi-fi is a bit slow and the parking lot elevator is not working so we have to walk down to main lobby with out luggage.

I revisited this hotel after almost 10 years. It was still good as before. The free breakfast was very nice. The check-in process was smooth and fast. The room had remodeled and was better. The pool was smaller than I had remembered but served its purpose. Parking spaces were plenty.

This hotel offers quiet accomodations. Nothing fancy about this place, but everything was in order. The lounges and chairs by the elevators for seating. Check in was efficient. Elevators are quick. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel made our little family road trip a success!

We've been to this hotel twice up to now... and both times, with our little baby girl who's nearly 2yrs now. We've had good experience each time. We love the location since it's near our friends/family and the neighbourhood that we wanted to be... we wanted to try-out the food! 8)

Even we turned the heat the lowest possible, it was still too hot. We had to completely turn it off. It was -15 outside. Without heat the room is still warm enough.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. This hotel was choosen because of it's closeness to where our business meeting was, and it was just a short drive to the meeting. I stayed at holiday inn for 5nights..it was a great place to stay and i really like tge service...it has gym pool and restaurant...the only thing i didnt like was internet service..internet service was very slow...wifi wasnt responding like it suppose to..it was hard to even use facebook..other than that great place to stay !!..

Sleep quality was good and the location was convenient

We had a king size bed room. It was mostly quiet through the night (the people next door were talking a bit loud and the adjoining door was not extremely soundproof). The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great. Definitely a place I would consider when needing to stay in Toronto again.

Not so nice a stay

For one thing the beds where to hard ,the bath tub didn't look clean to me. Was ok

Overall it was ok...but a few things hurt the overall rating. Mainly they cleaned our room and didn't replace towels and it took at least 30 minutes and 2 phone calls to have new ones brought up to the room. Also the shower wasn't the cleanest.

Attended a conference here

Great stay

Was in the city shopping and looked for the nearest hotel, found this one. They were friendly and was a quick check in. The room was on the 14 th floor (PH) it was big and clean. Free wifi and parking which was great for the city. Breakfast was ok at the buffet downstairs.

Clean spacious room

Booked one night for agroup of 3 and 2 children...the large family room was more than enough. Check in was smooth, the room was clean, and parking was free.
I booked it from the hotel's website directly and got to chat with an agent online before booking which made things much easier.

I had indicated that there would be 3 people staying in this room. There was not enough towels. I had to find a housekeeper and get more. Upon arrival there was maintenance man on a ladder in the middle of the entrance. This made getting the cart with luggage through a bit difficult. I suggest that if that occurs during check in time that they have someone at the door to assist.

I don't like the air-conditioner next to the bed, my daughter is now sick because of it.

The rooms were fine, average look and comfort. But then we turned on the AC and it was so loud we had to shut it of for the night. And the next day, we found a old chewed up pear bewteen the be and the night stand. The pool seemed not clean neither. We would not stay at that hotel again.

we enjoyed our stay in Markham, the staff were coutious &the hotel was clean...the shower water pressure was not always strong &the pool needs a renovation (updated)

“I asked for a smoking room but the front desk manager told me the hotel is completely non-smoking. That's very normal. But when i walked into the room, it was full of smoke smell... That's very painful for 1. smoker (who keep smelling the smoke but can't smoke) 2. non-smoker (I'm sure non-smoker can't stay in that room).”

“The check-in time is 3pm, but we got there 2 hrs early. The staff offered us to storage our bags so we didn't need to carry around. That's very good service! But I think their responses could be better if they showed more upbeat actions though. Don't let traveller asked and then made an offer. I would like them to think what if they were the travellers who are checking in.”

There was a problem with the heat not coming on and my guess is that if I called they would have moved me to a new room, but it was late and I wasn't up for a move so I dealt with it. Holiday Inn Markham

It was a good value for the money if you look at the original price (150CAD+taxes). I personaly don't think it worths more than 100CAD per day. The last day of my stay i had to go to the lobby to ask for the breakfast voucher because they have forgotten it.

Clean suburban Toronto hotel

My dad visited Toronto while TIFF was going on so all the downtown hotels were very pricey. I found a good rate on the Holiday Inn in Markham on Skoosh and since he had a car, the fact that there was free parking was another bonus. The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Markham, Markham

The room was clean and comfortable. The WiFi was free and it worked well, and there are a number of good restaurants within walking distance. I chose to stay here because it was a 15 minute walk from where I was working. I didn't try the pool, but others appeared to enjoy it.

A reasonable lodging

The location is convenient and the hotel provides complimentary WiFi service. It is a relatively old hotel but clean. We have complimentary breakfast included in our reservation.
