It was reasonably priced and offers a good, safe stay for visit to Vancouver. Especially for families with children. Downtown hotels should be more fun and exciting definitely but they are also more expensive. Parking is free in this hotel. There are no restaurants in the walking distance except for the one within the hotel.
Adequate Room for an adequate price. Very conveniently located for Grouse Mountain and the Suspension Bridge. Most of the other hotels in the area I would not have stayed at. Very shocked this area has not drawn in any higher end hotels.
Because IRS been hot I wanted a hotel out of downtown. Hotwire gave me this and I'll be back. Room smelled a little musty but was fine. The Pantry was great for supper and breakfast (Sian was fabulous) and Churchills was perfect for a nightcap and we were charmed by our host Fritz. Front desk were great ordering taxis ($15.00... more
We chose this because it was out of town where prices were so much higher and made for easy access to attractions and sea to sky highway to whistler. Desk staff member gentleman who checked us in was so helpful. Gave us dining list and recommended two both of which we tried and have reviewed in here. They were great.... more
My son and I stayed here while we played in a golf tournament and thought it exceeded our expectations. Hotel is newer and clean. Lobby and restaurants are better than you would expect.
Staff was excellent. We had TV problems. They sent a person from maintenance to replace it within minutes. The TV still was shutting on and off... so...

We had an excellent 2 nights. The lobby, elevators and room were lovely and clean and close to Seymour Pub for a great song "bingo" night and good food. We've stayed prior to this and will do it again! Thank you.
This is a decent hotel with nice rooms and pleasant grounds. The location is somewhat isolated but is adjacent to Highway 1 so you can get around town quickly. The wonderful Lynn Canyon Park is also close by for those who have some free time. There is a family style restaurant onsite as well as a nice looking bar. Adjacent... more
I have stayed at this hotel twice. Both times in a corner suite. Clean quiet and decent prices for Vancouver. Quick checkout nice features don't have to wait at front desk. Nice ftiness facility. Check online for deals.
The hotel is located in North Vancouver next to Capilano University, in the eastern part of North Vancouver. The room was big and convenient. It does not offer complimentary breakfast, so I ate outside the hotel. At my request, I got a quiet room, not facing the highway.
If you plan on visiting Vancouver by using public transportation, bus 239...

Let me begin by saying I've had nothing but great experiences at Holiday Inns, lately.
This was no exception.
Great location. Excellent rooms. Friendly and professional staff. First-rate amenities. Lots of parking. Most importantly: "Churchills" pub and coffee shop!
Our group of 10 motorcycle riders (all veteran travellers) loved this hotel enough to make it our go-to place for our...

This is the place to stay for families!!! parking is free, much cheaper than downtown, not so many people!!! We got a kitchenette and there is a huge supermarket within walking distance. We stalked up on food for family snacking. rooms are nice and the location is central to all attractions! Highly recommended.
It appears that every time I stay in a Holiday Inn, I learn something new.
I booked for 11 night in the HI North Vancouver. Upon check-in, as usual, my credit card was pre-authorised for part of the stay, and every night the amount for the next night was pre-authorised. Nothing unusual thus far. But on day 8 of our...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to be closer to the mountains. Prior to this we stayed in a 4 star hotel downtown. We liked this hotel over the one downtown. The rooms were very comfortable. It even has a small kitchen (no stove). The service is excellent. Close to highway. It it's a bit over priced for the stars... more
Not happy right now. This hotel is a little more expensive than others around here. The others were full so we ended up being forced to book a room here. For the amount of money being spent I would like an ice machine that works, the one on floor two doesn't, a pop machine that works, ours doesn't and internet... more
I went to Vancouver for a business trip and enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites. It was a very convenient location for work as I was working at the Capilano University, which is up the hill from the hotel. Across from the hotel, was the “Canadian Superstore,” which was easy to buy necessities. The front desk receptionists... more
Very good hotel. Restaurant on-site was great for breakfast. Friendly staff always had a smile for me.
Seymour's Pub had good food and was a nice place to have a beer and 'watch the game'.
I didn't try the pool but it seemed popular.
Already booked my next stay!
I stayed here two nights befoew getting back to Korea. It was very spacious and clean.
Family travel is also very good at this hotel. However, you will need a rental car for easy access to somewhere you want to go around.
I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights over two weeks in June 2014 for work. This hotel was a perfect fit for me, very clean, organized and helpful staff. All the amenities were clean and helpful. Rooms were large and comfortable. The only issue is the location, it is in the middle of nowhere, there are no restaurants nearby... more
We stayed there for 5 nights in july 2014. Hotel is comfortable, nice lobby and staff were helpful. We needed to rent a car to go around and parking in hotel lot was free. Pretty close to Grouse Mountain and Capilano bridge. There is a Real Canadian Super Store with 10 minutes walking distance, we could buy some food and... more
This property was definitely the most upscale of all Holiday Inns we've ever stayed at.
The property is beautiful and well maintained. The lobby has a slick, contemporary and inviting design. The actual rooms look BETTER than the web-site photos (we got the double queen room). Very clean, functional and great beds. Everybody (18 mo. daughter, 4 yr old son,...

Very nice building and well kept. The room was mediocre but it depends on what you pay for. The front desk staff was quite nice, but at first slightly rude because they were not happy that we booked with a travel site. Other than that, the hotel is very nice, the pool was fun, including the sauna. The thing i... more
If you are going to explore Vancouver then this is the place to stay. Yes, you will need a car to get around but staying in this clean, quiet, and roomy hotel puts you close to many activities. In fifteen minutes you can be crossing the Capilano Bridge, hiking up Grouse Mountain and enjoying the fun activities at the top... more
We stayed here two nights. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the amenities helpful (a small refrigerator and microwave). A suggestion for the operators would be that they consider adding USB ports. We stayed at eight hotels in the past 10 days, and two of them had USB ports along with a couple of outlets affixed to the... more
This was by far one of the best Holiday Inn Hotels I stayed at (and I travel a lot). The rooms were clean, new, and spacious. The food at the café was great and reasonably priced. The service was fantastic. Best of all, it is minutes from all the highlights of Vancouver. Highly recommend it. However, you do need a... more
We stayed here last week as a starting off point for a cruise leaving from Vancouver. I found this a very nice property. A little expensive. Very convenient to the highway but a little confusing getting on the highway if you are unfamiliar with the area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a nice pub/bar and a very basic... more
My wife and I were in this hotel because one of our grandsons was to play in a hockey tournament in Burnaby.
The hiotel is situated in a quiet area and has a pleasing appearance from afar and close up. It has ample parking spaces.
The hotel was certainly five star: the reception desk was very good, having everything ready...

This is a basic hotel. Nice enough but pretty standard. We found it very expensive for what you get and it's location. It's convenient from the highway if you have a car, but it's kind of in the middle of nowhere so the rates seem out of line. Would not stay there again.
After a long hard physical day at work, the hot tub/pool and sauna all felt great. Then off to the neighbouring pub for a relaxing dinner. Great food. Hard to choose as there were so many good things on the menu. Service was great and fast. Finish the night with a night cap at the little hotel lounge called Fitzgeralds.... more
Since our family event was on the North Shore of Vancouver, this was an execcellant location, just off the highway. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel, room and surround property are well maintained and attractive. Ours rooms had internal connecting doors making it very social able, giving us more contact as family. We enjoyed the food and our... more
Some medical issues meant we needed to stay fairly close to a hospital, but we badly needed a getaway. So we went to the Internet, and within minutes we had booked three days (on a holiday weekend) at this hotel. We arrived at the same time as what seemed like about fifteen kid sports teams and all their families -... more
I have said at this hotel several times for business, but this time stayed with family and loved it! It's close to the highway and makes getting to anywhere in Vancouver very accessible. Got to downtown in 20 minutes. Wonderful staff! Very friendly and always willing to help. The rooms have been very well kept. Will definitely be back.
We have stayed there about 6 times prior and this last time was the best. As usual, the rooms were clean/secure and comfy. the staff was friendly and went out of their way to fix a billing mistake I made that they didn't have to.
The grounds are immaculate.
Booked direct - good rate. Added an extra day & they held the same room rate - nice touch. Rooms were clean & quiet. Cleaning Staff all very friendly. Pleasant lobby to read the free daily paper or catch up on news via WiFi. Salt water hot tub & pool were exquisitely clean and bonus! No heavy, cloying scent of... more
Stayed in a one bedroom suite. Nice and clean, spacious. We liked that you could order movies. Staff were helpful. There is Westview Pizza across the street. Pizza was mediocre and the wings we ordered were grossly under cooked and they didn't seem to care when we called.
wonderful place to stay for families, couples, business you name it. close to everything downtown Vancouver and playland. Very clean rooms, a breakfast bar, A fitness centre, a pool and a on site laundry room. Everything you need. also a very safe building.
Beautiful hotel inside and outside; very clean - lovely decor. Neat and attractive rooms with sufficient anemities. Very professional and efficient front desk employees who were always accommodating. Would recommend this hotel. The only (one) disappointment we noticed was no "Complimentary" coffee/tea/cocoa in the lobby area along with light pastries. When we stayed at a Comfort Inn in... more
This Hotel is perfect if you need to be in North Vancouver. Great stop before going to Whistler. Great room. Service is excellent. Free parking. This hotel has a really cool English pub off the lobby. Free internet. Restaurant for breakfast. Very Nice.
Easy access to property from Hwy 1. Located across from large grocery/sundry store, and walking trail. Easy parking. Well-heated, crystal-clear indoor pool. Top-notch customer service at every encounter.
We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and find it ideally located for exploring Vancouver and its immediate surroundings. While it is a reasonable distance from the airport (around 40 minutes drive on average) the route is very simple and not taxing after a long flight. Every room we have had is well appointed with very... more

We had a blast at this well located hotel. The rooms are nice, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly.

We were happy with most of the stay except for a couple glaring things.

It was stated by the front desk staff bedding should be changed every day.
The biggest issue was that we left our families IPad in the bedroom and...

We were visiting my sister in North Vancouver for one night and decided to stay in a hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Holiday Inn. This place gets top marks for the staff on reception and the quality of the premises. The entry is very swish and the room appointments were good. I like having windows that open and although there is a bit of traffic noise the location is excellent for Vancouver. Peak hour traffic may be a problem but every city has to... more
We had a great stay in this hotel. We stayed in single room with two beds and small kitchenette. The room was quite small for a family of 4, but the washroom was nice and large.
