Staff is amazing, rooms very comfortable. Conference area under renovations but very accommodating.

Dont even provide shuttle from aitport. Too expensive for whst they offer in. Staff is quite friendly

Chose as generally like Hilton Hotels. Check in was pretty smooth. Elevators were out of service and room was 7th floor, annoying but hard to place fault, they did get fixed by following morning. Breakfast was expensive for the selection available (no better than most complimentary breakfasts at most hotels). First time in my 40+ years I’ve ever been told I must identify by name my wife for “ security reas ons” won’t do it again

The staff was truly incredible. The housekeeper held the elevator for us. During check in the staff were great with our three kids. The restaurant bartender was amazing and friendly. And to top it all off our 2 year old left her blankie behind in the bedding. We called the next morning and the housekeeping staff had found it. Terrible room condition

New room but aircon blows at your face when you in bed. Room is small. No way typo adjust the speed.

They even forgot to clean the room.

Our stay was excellent, staff were very helpful, buffet breakfast was delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet. Beds excellent. Only complaint - too much light coming( from outside light)in around the edge and under the curtain above the heating unit. Excellent location for our purposes.

really nice hotel, our first visit

awsome, was up to date with todays technology. for exapmle the USB ports, and lots of them. excellent with having kids and their electronics.

Rooms are small. Small annoyances re cleanliness and plumbing. No ice machine on the floor I was in, breakfast is not included. On the other hand, thhe location is convenient as it is next to bridge to downtown Halifax and to bus terminal, including the airport bus.

Found it clean, comfortable, convenient. Great view of harbour. Easy access to Peninsula and shopping. Pool small, but clean. Restaurant staff great and meal good. We will stay there again.

Nice and clean

Hotel was nice and clean. The lobby bar is blah ... pool was decent problem was bridge bring out of service in the evening for construction. If you miss the ferry at night it's a 25 buck cab fare

Double tree by Hilton

The room was a bit smaller then I expected and the bed and pillows where not comfortable for me however my partner thought they where both great . The staff , the pool and having Starbucks in the lobby was fantastic . Only minutes drive from everything downtown and the Micmac mall !

The staff when I checked in late at night made fun of a guest who had trash in his room left by the cleaning staff and a very dirty towel. I felt this was very unprofessional of her. The staff person also seemed unfamiliar with the computer system, taking an extremely long time to process my room; she seemed to not show hospitality toward guests. Nice room, nice hotel really there is nothing negative about my stay at the hotel. Great location too, as it is almost on MacDonald bridge, the only hiccups being that the bridge was close for the weekend which as nothing to do with the hotel!

Very nice hotel in great condition. There was a hockey team staying on the same floor as us and some parents were wandering the hall and being very noisy at 3 am but other than that, great place to stay.

Booked this hotel as they had a competitive online rate BUT then came the extras like parking and breakfast. Price went up quickly, very sorry easy way of attracting bookings, especially when there is free parking across the street. Also no restaurant and no Starbucks as advertised.

Wish I could have stayed longer

Amazing stay. The staff was very accommodating and made me feel welcome. As a U.S. citizen visiting for work, I felt right at home in an unfamiliar area. The hotel was way underpriced in my honest opinion. The room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable and as I stated the staff was outstanding.

We stayed for 2 nights. Staff was helpful especially the bar and restaurant staff. The renos are just about complete so everything is in the new clean stage. Just a good basic hotel

Unbeatable view of Halifax

We stayed here for our anniversary, I chose this hotel as it is an excellent view of the Halifax harbour and bridge. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the staff went the extra mile to ensure our stay was pleasant.

Amazing room and awesome breakfast

Teens in adjoining room. At 1:45am had to call front desk to finally get some sleep up to then there were kids running and shouting in hall most of the night. Could not get near pool for kids. OMG

We liked it

Our room was great with a balcony. It makes staying in a hotel room feel so much bigger. The bathroom door on the inside had scratched carved out of it and some miso lores paint was slapped on I attempt to hide it, but the overall bathroom was stunning. Only just opened, lot of facilities not there yet

Will be a nice place when up and running properly. Lack of facilities affected our stay, but staff were very responsive and tried to help. Dartmouth was good, and easy access via ferry to Halifax worked very well. Found a great resturant in Dartmouth (Seventy3).

Newly renovated

The hotel was very nicely renovated...bed was very comfortable. it seemed like they hadn't vacuumed recently or didn't do a very good job if they had. It was quick checking in and out. The warm chocolate chip cookie upon checking in was a nice surprise

Christmas party

It was a Christmas party, convention room was very dated but the hotel itself was new and updated, the rooms are a little smaller than you might expect but it is not a huge deal. No atm in the whole building!?! One of the servers at the banquet was rude. But the front desk people were awesome especially Wit, very helpful.

Decent Hotel, Extra charges in Deposit

The hotel itself is fine, but they are hiding the cost behind an extra $50 deposit they take from your card upon arrival. If I had of known about this, I would have stayed somewhere else, and I will not be returning.

Would have liked if restaurant open at night and staff to have more knowledge of places to eat close by. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable.

Lipstick on a pig

This hotel is just not yet ready for use. Is this a soft launch? Some parts seem to have been taken care of for the naked eye, others seem old stuff with a touch of paint or not even that. The expression 'lipstick on a pig' came to mind when I had to walk up the stairs when the elevator was broken at night.

The hotel room had blood in the shower and aswell hair , the hotel staff never informed of anything , like parking fees , breakfest fees and also a pet fees that was never told to us when check in

Went to Dartmouth for son's wedding. 4 families travelled to be there and staff was great in helping and in their service!!!!

Too expensive for the front doors not to be working, can't smoke off the deck (what's the point of a deck) still haven't got my $100.00 deposit back yet and it's been 4 days. $255.00 for a basic room.. Rip off.. Lady who worked at the bar was very nice

This Hotel is beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is the perfect size for smaller children. A warm cookie at check in (although a milk to go with it would’ve been awesome) & a Starbucks right in the hotel; What more could you ask for?

I was part of a planning committee for a recent convention held at the Harbourview. I was very impressed by the wonderful, rapid service by the competent staff, who went out of their way to meet every request, no matter how last-minute. I would not hesitate to book another event there.

Great location in Dartmouth. Right next to the toll bridge you get the sense you are at a border crossing overlooking the amazing downtown Halifax! Really reminds me of the Holiday Inn in Windsor, ON where you are overlooking the tunnel to the US. If you have a view of downtown Halifax which is spectacular. Nice middle of the road Holiday Inn, with a good view of the Halifax Harbour.
Quite disappointed about the speed of their INTERNET WiFi service. The speed test I ran showed 1.5mbs which is more like rural internet speed!! When I inquired, I learned they do have one floor which has wired internet, but it was full.
Don't stay here if you need internet to work!

I usually stay at the Hampton Inn, in Dartmouth crossing. But they were full for the weekend so I had to find another hotel. This Holiday Inn is right on the water and you might even have a great view of the bridge, depending on which side of the hotel you end up on.
