Amazing little restaurant and great service. The owners really care about you. Their food is delicious. I can't wait to come back to try out more choices. The bhindi aka okra was yummy, rotis are soft and even the next day when heated on a tava aka pan they were delicious. I enjoyed the pakoras as well.
Recommended by an indian coworker to come once and was excited to see a traditional looking Indian bakery around stoney creek. However, they have different prices for Indians and non Indians. Example, 10 simosas for an Indian customer is 3.35. If you are not Indian, they charge you 6.80. They do not have a price board and can charge you anything they want. Decent food but minimal variety.
Love their chaat! Food isn't too greasy and tastes good always! Samosas and samosa chaat is a must eat there
The place is small but wonderful. Food is great, fresh, delicious. Highly recommend if you are craving great Indian food.
This a little hole in the wall which is a treasure of delicious East Indian food. It is all vegetarian and I must admit that I often have no idea what I am eating but I have never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly and the majority of their business is takeout, they also have about 15 seats. The... more
I have heard great things about this restaurant from an Indian-Canadian I know well ... my sons are still looking for the best Chicken Korma in Hamilton area and we were hoping to find it at The Himalayan! I look forward to going next time I am going for Indian without my meat-loving sons ... more
While on way to Canadain Warplane museum all the way from Mississauga, thought to check this restaurant based on high ratings. It could be incidental that day but I will like to say it is not worth it and this is based on collective thoughful feedback of 2 seniors, 2 adults and a child before putting in this rating. Some of the best Indian food I've ever tasted. All vegetarian, but meat lovers would love it too. So flavourful and delicious. It's an unassuming little place, which makes it even better! I had the kahari paneer and it was awesome. A+
This is a family restaurant with family style service. Amazing food. Not cagey at all. Just not technological. They are best in the kitchen which is what I personally want. Love the people, love the food. - and my background is European!
feels like Mississauga every time I'm in here (which is often!)
Tiny, spicy and delicious!
always go back
A real gem, I came upon it one day by accident. It's located just off Centennial parkway...in a strip mall of all places. Very small eat in restaurant - very few tables - always busy. There is a huge take out crowd, the place is always bustling and there is a reason why. The food is excellent, fresh, well presented... more
The place is absolutely tiny and I've only ever ordered the samosas to go. They are always hot and fresh and come with a sweet dipping sauce. The stuffing is chunky - which i like and has great flavour! I often pick them up for potlucks and social gatherings.
My friends are really impressed when I show up with them piping hot! I always tell them they came right out of the deep fryer ... just...

Amazing food. Awful service. They have a debit machine but they are cagey about it being out of order (so they don't have to suffer the expense?). Three times Ive been and not once did they warn before ordering that it was out of service. They take forever to check in on tables. Only go if you have three hours to spare(no exaggeration). Bring cash.
My daughter & I found this restaurant, purely by accident. We were about to leave a little strip mall, on Centennial Parkway, just at lunch time. It is definitely worth a return trip. Good service, excellent cuisine, very reasonably priced menu! Our waitress was very helpful in explaining the menu items. Take out service, was very busy! There are a small number... more
They make wonderful samosas and serve them with 2 very different sauces to dip. The thalia they do at lunch is very good - basically a selection of the different things they have on the menu that day. It's a great way to try different things. It is a tiny little restaurant, and most of their business seems to be... more
This is the best takeout Indian restaurant that I have ever been to. The food is great, they will make it as spicy as you ask for and it is really cheap. Two can eat for about $20 and have leftovers for the next day.
They have a few tables to eat in, but they are uncomfortable and there is no atmosphere. That is not what this place is about, even though the tables are always packed, it is...

Excellent authentic and fast vegetarian fare. No fuss cafeteria like setting with about five tables. Excellent value! Very friendly staff. Always busy with clients purchasing take out, delicious sweets or the best samosas in town. I stop for the thali plate for lunch when ever I am in the neighbourhood and pick up samosas and pakoras for functions I attend... more
