I stayed on March 8 until the 10th at this hotel with the family. I was in room 1804 which is supposed to be a superior room with 2 double beds. The cost was 240$C per night. The good part: The staff is friendly and the location is central enough to walk to nearby old town. Now the bad: It... more
We stayed there for Easter weekend, the atmosphere was lovely and welcoming. The suites were very spacious with lovely views both sides of the building. The breakfast was good, for both kids (one and five years). I guess if the weather was a bit warmer, we may've walked around more frequently. The consierge service was very attentive and helpful in... more
The hotel is wonderfully located right next to Parliament and between two of the gates into the old city. The views offered by the upper floors are stunning and provide an unobstructed view of the river. However, the amenities offered by the hotel are quite average. The hotel only offers wired internet in the rooms; with wireless in the lobby,... more
So, due to my extended complain from my last stay, the Hilton finally reacted and offer us a rebate on a stay. I decide to took advantage of it with my wife & daughter during Easter weekend. We had the large suite on a top floor with view on a old-city, the river and the parliament... The view itself is... more
First the good: Location is excellent, a short walk to the old city and lots of shops and restaurants nearby, plus attached to the convention centre. Rooms are clean, albeit small, and comfortable (if a little spartan). I presume that the bathrooms were included in recent renovations, which shows. If you have access to the executive lounge, it is very... more
We stayed in the Hilton for Winter Carnival and had a very pleasant stay. The weather was awful when we got in with tons of snow, and although we had considered staying in the Old City, we were glad that we didn't as the smaller streets of the Old City would have been tough to navigate around with all of... more
My review is pretty similar to the last one. I was at the Hilton Quebec for 3 nights. I was attending conferences and booked at the Hilton since the Conference Center is 15 seconds from there.
I was on the 14th floor and could hear cars on the street like if I was staying on the 1st floor. You can...

The rooms were clean albeit a bit small. There was no mini-bar, which would have been fine if their restaurant/bar would have been open past 10:30-11:00. So no after dinner drinks. No body wash either, which I found odd. Probably a bit overprice for what it was. It have a decent gym though.
Great location next to the Parliament, 5 mins walk from centre of old Quebec. But rooms looking tired. No wifi in rooms and only paid wired connection. No minibar. Hotel was undergoing refurbishment of restaurant while I was there, so no bar, restaurant or full breakfast service either. Surprised no discount was offered for this.
I can not believe they don't have slippers when I ask for it. I thought it was Xmas joke. The internet connection is extream slow.
Awful internet service. Expensive wired internet in rooms only with wireless only in hotel lobby (seriously, when are Hiltons gonna figure out that other hotels are offering free internet access). One guest's room was not ready. when he asked if he could get a call on his mobile when it is ready, hotel front desk staff told him "We dont do that here"
Stimmte alles. Nur die Aussicht in Niagra war besser. Deshalb nur 4 Sterne. Wir mussten nicht bezahlen:-)
We stayed on March 29th for a conference. We had a room on the 10th floor on the Parliement side. It was very noisy. We could here noise from the street and from other rooms. The room was ok but nothing great: very very basic.
Service was very very bad. When we checked in, there was 5 employees there and...

This hotel is in a great location if you want to visit both Carnival and the old city. We enjoyed dining at many of the nearby restaurants and found the short walk to Carnival to be very convenient. Our Parliament view was great because we could see the entrance to Carnival and the old city. My only complaint is that they don't have refrigerators in the room. They will store perishables in a... more
Very helpful, friendly, staff. Clean rooms and the BEST BEDS, with down comforters. Had cheap prices for week between Christmas and New years. Parking and Wi-Fi are pricey ($$).
Good location. Parking is easy. Have excellent view.
We stayed here for a friends wedding at the Frontenac in Quebec City, and we were pleasantly surprised. We were offered room upgrade if we paid the 20 dollars a night for the executive lounge, and I would have happily paid more, separately, for both. The corner room we got (816) had a panoramic wrap-around view of all of Old Quebec, along with the gorgeous Parliament building. I would strongly... more
My wife and myself stayed from Sunday evening until Wednesday morning at the Hilton Quebec in early August 2011. The hotel was chosen because it is located close to the Old Town and from that objective it definitely met its objective. We spent most of the time walking through Old Town and also went biking, thus we did not use all the hotel amenities. The staff was friendly (in particular the... more
Really nice place. I was surprised by how clean and well-kept it is inside, because the hotel that I had just come from in Montreal (the Westin) was immaculate and set some high expectations that I was not expecting this place to meet. But it did. You walk into a spacious, comfortable lobby, complete with a bar and a convenience store, and any room is only a short elevator trip away. Very nice... more
This is a relatively new, clean, friendly hotel. Staff was professional and courteous. Location is ideal adjacent to the Old City. It's not a B&B, so it's plastic, but it's a Hilton. Somewhat expensive but so is Quebec City as a city.
Everyone was helpful. The pool, room, etc were all up to our expectations of a Hilton Hotel.
First class operation. If you get to use the penthouse Executive lounge, you'll be treated to the absolute best view in all of Quebec, with a 180 degree look at all of old town, the rivers and the Provencial buildings. EXCELLENT service by the ladies in the lounge too. The hotel location is perfect for tourists...can walk all of Quebec City easily. Tip...if you drive and park in the garage,... more
Went to Quebec with another couple after a visit to Montreal. We were in Quebec just one night at the Hilton and loved it! The room was good sized, the view was magnificent, the staff friendly and accommodating. Easy to check in and out, continental breakfast in the executive lounge was terrific, and the pool was fabulous -outdoor but heated enough to jump right in. I'd return without... more
We were given two end hallway rooms that closed off to the main hallway. This situation is perect for families ( we have four children 4-12). We were able to sleep with our doors proped open and lock the door to the main hallway. Amazing set up. The manager, Sophie was very accomadating and totally understood our situation. The pool is mostly outdoor, but they keep it pretty warm and the kids... more
Two wrongs don't make a right, but if you want to find the Hilton's parking lot, you need to make three rights. I felt like Sisyphus looking for a parking spot (in Greek mythology, Sisyphus had to push a rock up a steep hill and right before he got to the top, it would roll down and he had to repeat this for eternity). Its an underground labyrinth of never ending cars and exit (Sortie) signs... more
Floor to ceiling windows offered unparalleled views of the Old Town. Rooms facing the Parliament building and the two main cites of Carnaval de Quebec. Walking distance (10 min to anywhere) from sightseeing and the heart of the Old Town where you can find shops, bars and restaurants.Friendly front desk service and great local recommendations on where to eat by the concierge. For more information... more
We had a great view of Frontenac and St. Lawrence. Walking distance to alot but lotsa hills! Remodeled room was very nicely outfitted but smallish. Heard lots of plumbing, & fan in bathroom didnt work. Bed great. 1st nite-bald bartender very surly, bar food-ack!springroll/ribs flavorless . We are big foodies so first night's recommondation from concierge for L'Accent not appreciated! went 1... more
Overall a good experience, rooms are redone and comfortable, we had a Parliament building view which was sweet. Staff are very friendly. Negatives: Why not free internet access instead of $11.99? Heated pool was lukewarm when swimming outside. Elevators took a long time (waited 10 minutes on ninth floor one time!)
The location of this hotel is perfect for the travelers who will be walking to all points of interest. The view from our room was spectacular. Our room was next to the area where the ice machine was located and we were concerned it may be noisy but we never heard it at all. The drinks in the bar were a bit overpriced. The breakfast buffet that was complimentary was very very good.
This hotel is not very business friendly. I'm staying here for a conference across the street at the convention centre and holding meetings in the hotel. They have an extra charge for everything including wireless Internet access in pre-paid, expensive meeting rooms. The business centre is not staffed and there are no instructions posted to help you print a document. The software did not allow... more
This hotel--like many Hiltons that all seem to be from the same time era--has a real split personality. They've "upgraded" some floors on the hotel, but not the top floors. What's odd about this is the top floors are the executive level floors that they give people with Hilton gold and above status. So while they give these people nicer views (higher up), their rooms are completely dumpy and... more
I heard only 80% of the hotel was newly upgraded, our room wasn't and it felt dirty and not romantic. Make sure you get a newly appointed room and your stay will be perfect! Cleanliness scores were for the older room. The rest of the hotel was wonderful. We didn't travel with my 2 year old but will definitely bring him next year. It was a fabulous location for the Carnival activities and... more
I understand they are renovating rooms, so your experience might be better in the future. Decent hotel, but some things are a little more expensive than need to be. Valet is overpriced as are the room service options. The executive lounge has a poorly stocked happy hour buffet (not that I'm grazing instead of eating), but there was nothing other than salami at 615p when I went up. The view... more
is this the most fab place in town? well probably not but it is really convenient to the convention center. after walking around all day - the last thing you need is a trek to the hotel room.cons:1. i can't say that the doormen are hustling too fast to open the doors for you. 2. old tv: one word for the hiltons...plaaaasma. their tvs are the ones left outside on the streets of san... more
I, my husband, daughter and her friend stayed here years ago and I remembered how nice the hotel was. It was in close walking distance to the gates of the old city of Quebec. The room we had was very nice and one day my hubby and I planned to walk around the city. The girls (they were 14 at the time) did not want to go with us so we said they could stay at the hotel and watch tv. They... more
Pros: The location is good, and the buffet breakfast (included in the family rate package), was very nice.Cons: The room was very small, with double beds; a disappointment given that the person who checked us in made a big deal about the free room upgrade we were being given. (If this was an upgraded room, I would have hated to have experienced the room we had booked (which wasn't that... more
Beautiful hotel with average hotel rooms.View from the room of the Quebec Parliament & old Quebec were fantastic.$26 for parking (valet with in & out privileges) was a little expensive, so we parked across the street at a convention center parking garage for $8 a night.I don't eat at hotel restaurants because (1) they tend to be overpriced and (2) I want to eat with locals as much as possible,... more
The Quebec Hilton was a great place to stay. It's location close to the old town made our weeken get away very pleasent. We had excellent room service, and one issue with the room which was looked after immediately.A Horse & buggy picked us up at the main entrance, as from there we toured the town. It was a great stay and experience.Highly recommended.
Hotel is located on a hill overlooking old Quebec and overlooking Parliament buildings. If you get a south and/or east facing room at a higher elevation you will get a stupendous old city, river, citadel and Parliament buildings view. We were on the 22nd floor. Short walking distance to the Old Quebec city with many, many restaurants.
