Nice little unassuming place on Columbia (aka the main st.) in New Westminster. They did a really nice job on the deep fried calamari I had for lunch. Not overdone, not greasy, great portion. I would have liked them to be a little spicier but that is a minor and personal taste thing. $30 for both lunched including tax & tip.

So we had a large group (55 people) function there last night, and I immediately went to yelp to check if I should bother getting food there or not. Needless to say, Yelp advised against everything, so thankfully I ended up getting food elsewhere first.

Light lunch was good

We sat at a table outside, and the food was fine. It wasn't unforgettable, but it was fine. There wasn't anything we didn't like. It was just in the "ordinary lunch" category.

The food was sub par. The service was terrible. It took almost 30 minutes to get water and they didn't even bring us forks or napkins. The servers had friends on the patio and allowed them to smoke. The drink specials were not anything to brag about.

Walking in the doors is like walking into the 1970's. Diner style eatery with a feel of a bygone era. Today we are enjoying live music with our Sunday brunch. Home style cooking with fair portions. A New Westminister classic restuarant.

Went here on a Friday night with a group of friends for a birthday party. Service was excellent, live entertainment was great and the food was delicious. Had the halibut with mango salsa and rice.

Where do you go at 11:30pm on a Monday night when you wanna drink, smoke and get some food? Heritage Grill! When I heard the kitchen was open late I was there in a flash. This is what you would call a funky dive bar. The staff is friendly, there's a patio out front, and they've got random live music at night. Definitely a fun place, and one of my new favorites in New West.

We had reservations for 7:30 which is nice as some places don't have reservations for that late on a Saturday night and were seated in a group all together. For such a small place it's not necessary to have such loud music. It's often impossible to have a conversation. Some delicious items on the menu, including vegetarian choices, at reasonable prices. Service is usually very good. Nice outdoor patio at the front.

Go on a night when there is a live band

This is one of New Westminster's highlights although the place is a little run down and the menu is limited. The food is good and when there is a jazz band the place just rocks!

The HG is my favourite place for a couple late night drinks in New West.

The staff here is always friendly, there is a unique and diverse crowd that show up here and Paul, the owner, is always around making sure everyone is having a good time.

The decor leaves a lot to be desired, but it's quirkyness tends to grow on you quickly.

Great live music every night. This casual relaxed place is inviting and unpretentious. The food is well prepared and healthy. Not your run of the mill pub food. This is quality and relaxed class.

A treasure in New Westminster

The Heritage Grill is a relatively new addition to the historic downtown of New Westminster. It is a place to enjoy affordable gourmet food, with something to satisfy every palate, and to enjoy great live music, 3 or 4 nights a week. The service is wonderfully friendly, and owner Paul is usually on hand to greet everyone.
