The Veggie Fritters were surreal - order at least two. Also tried the Laksa and loved it. We did very little talking during the meal, eating with a ravenous efficiency and speed that might have done us damage. You will sweat like hot yoga.

I came back here just for Hainanese Chicken Rice, but thought of trying something new so I got Prawn Noodle($7.50). Like other noodle dishes here the portion was big, had plentiful of toppings like fish cake, prawn, pork slices and some veggies. It also had something crispy bits on top. It was flavorful, tasty and delicious. However it's kind of spicy and has little bit of jalapeno peppers in... more

Food is good!
Price is very affordable!
Place is small.
Service is pretty much self serve.
Ignorance is a bliss, the next time you eat at Hawkers, if The staff brings you the food or anyone else's, their thumb is usually inside the plate or bowl right by the food you are about to eat. Yes, they wear rubber gloves however I don't ever see them change it or wash it even though the grab a dirty... more

This is where to get the real authentic Singaporean food(- spiciness) . I lived in Singapore for over 5+ years so I can guarantee that this is the real Singaporean food.
I came here with my friends and shared mee goreng, lamb curry, laksa, roti, chicken curry and chicken rice......the food is really good. Great portion, great food, cheap(in Vancouver standard) and very authentic.

It's rare to find hole in the walls like this place. Cash only and you order at the counter before sitting down. The food is authentically Singaporean. How do I know that? I don't know. But it sounded good. I had ordered the chicken curry dish and some of those wonderful veggie fritters. They were so good. I'll be back to try other items.

A taste of Singapore in Vancouver.

You can find many Singaporean dishes here and at very reasonable prices. The food falls a little short of how the authentic dishes would taste in Singapore but who can complain when you're so far away from home.

I had the Mee Rebus and spring rolls and they were tasty. Mee Goreng seems to be fairly popular (overheard many people ordering) but I did not get a... more

I've only had a few items here, and all were tasty, but damn I love those cheap and greasy vegetable fritters. They're 2 for a dollar and come with a sweet & vinegar dipping sauce.

If you've had Filipino food, these are like okoy, but without the shrimp. And okoy are a complete pain in the neck to make, so these are a very good substitute for when you are craving them but don't want to go... more

Been coming here for awhile now and I must say, decent food at decent prices.
Prices has gone up a bit though I believe but still pretty decently priced.
Food is good and has a lot of volume.
Interior is small and cramped so I always get take away.
Definitely a must try if you are in the area.

I spent a summer in Singapore a few years ago, and my mouth still drools at the memory of the food I discovered at hawker centres across the city (country? I never know which word to use when). I've tried the Singaporean staples at restaurants in Seattle, and while the food has been pretty decent the price point has been proof that this is a westernised version of the food.

Then I came here.... more

So my friend recommended this place to me, stating that it was one of her favourite places for comfort food. Now that I have visited, I can definitely vouch for that! Although it looks like the typical hole in the wall restaurant from the outside, the synergy of the simplistic decor and and complete view of the kitchen from the till counter creates a unusually pleasant atmosphere This place... more

This is sad for me because I had extremely high hopes for Hawkers before trying it out. I might have gone on a bad night, so hopefully I have a chance to change my mind.

Nasi Goreng - lacked a lot of flavor and tasted very salty
Mee Goreng - not bad, but wasn't anything special.
Laksa- Favorite entree, but overall just ok.

Always satisfying, love the authentic street-food vendor feel of the place - its what I imagine all genuine south Asian restaurants to be like. Food is fresh and hot out of the tiny kitchen - service is quick, portions are huge, flavor is totally bang on. I always get the noodle options since I'm a noodle poodle but the rice dishes look good too! Hawkers is a great place to grab a hearty meal... more

Good Malaysian food is tough for me to find back home so when my Vancouver buddy told me about Hawker's Delight, I was all over it. Seriously, this place is hole in the wall GOLD.

Great hole in the wall for cheap, greasy and authentic Singaporean food. Perhaps too greasy for some! Anyways, it's always packed. I like the mee rebus and mee siam. The veggie fritters they have at the counter are delicious, $1.50 for fritters that are fresher than ones I've paid $7 for at fancier Malaysian restaurants.

This place used to have good quality cheap and filling food. But not anymore... The cashier lady was rude. She forgot one of our orders eventhough i had asked to make sure but she just rolled her eyes at me. Sure enough it was missed. I was really disappointed with the veggie fritters. It tasted very doughy and I found eating raw dough in the center.

I hit Hawkers one very rainy Friday evening, after my flite into YVR was delayed and I "lost" my car in the long term parking.

Haven't had Malaysian/indo food for a while so need to have my fix. What a great choice this was for a fast lunch (since I was on a time crunch).

I knew exactly what I wanted before I looked at the menu, since it's what I always get.

This is a hole in the wall that you have to try. The food is great and very cheap but still fast and high quality

Literally a hole-in-the-wall, and a good place for comfort food on a rainy day.

Cheap, authentic Singaporean food. Reminiscent of a hawker center back in Singapore (with the large sign, self service, and the less than perfect cleanliness). One of my highschool girlfriends took me here on a date once, it was rad. Hawkers is an underground Vancouver staple. If you know Vancouver you'll know about this place. There aren' too many places where quantity meets quality AND for the right price -- Hawkers is one of them.

If you're into Malaysian, you best go out of your way a little to get some of chow at Hawkers. End of story.
