Harlan's Chocolat and Gelateria
By far the best Ice cream and chocolat shop in the whole of the Gulf Islands, Home made gelato, sorbetto, and ice cream, organic flavors always available. Mixed berry cheesecake my favorite.

cute little shop
August 11, 2014It's a cute little ice cream shop about 15-20 flavours, but it's such a tiny area to even line up for the ice cream. I tried the lemon lavender; it was borderline bitter; I also tried the blueberry and strawberry which was good.

Fun selection of chocolate and candy

So expensive, poor service
April 10, 2014We took the family on a recent trip to the Island and thought this would be a nice place to stop for an ice cream. We overlooked the dirtiness of the place and chose our gelato's, and was amazed that it came to over $25, really? Come on. Owner was obnoxious when i questioned the total.

Best Ice Cream in the whole world
January 30, 2014My favourite winter flavour is the salted caramel, in the summer i normally go for the blackberry gelato or the blueberry. I must say that everything about this place speaks of quality and care and the pure love of fine chocolate and the best ice cream i've ever had anywhere. Highly recommend!

Though I've visited Salt Spring Island many times, it was only this July that I discovered Harlan's wonderful gelatos. It was clear from the first bite that I'd been missing out, so I made up for lost time by getting a cone on every one of the three days I was there.

The blood orange sorbetto is to die for

THE best chocolate and gelato anywhere
October 28, 2012Not only do I LOVE Harlan's dark bites chocolates, and a regular hot chocolate (which has only real milk and dark chocolate - no sugar, no syrup and is cheaper than a latte) but they have gone out of their way to accommodate us. Local and loving it
October 25, 2012I have been on saltspring for quite sometime and this little gelato shop is the sweet spot of the island. I often take my little girl for a scoop of locally made gelato or a little piece of handmade chocolate. Would most definitely tell anyone and eveyone to try them out. They also have dairy free !

Delicious sinfull treats
