The Quality Inn West Harvest is not a cheap hotel it's affordable!
From OpenTable: Established in 1996, hardware grill is an a-list dining spot in Canada. It is a glorious setting for Chef / Owner Larry Stewart's progressive Canadian Cuisine, bold flavors, dramatic presentation, creative and whimsical prairie regional flavors, French influenced style, enthralling design and impeccable standards of service form the entire experience hardware grill.Local owners... more
This is easily one of western Canada's most exciting restaurants. The building may be historic (and within walking distance of most downtown hotels), but there's nothing antique about the dining room. Modern but not stark, the room is edged with glass partitions, exposed pipes, and ducts painted a smoky rose. There are as many appetizers as entrees, making it tempting to graze through a series... more
I had not been to Hardware Grill for a long time and forgot how wonderful it is! From the wait staff to the food to the atmosphere, truly one of the best fine dining restaurants in Edmonton.
Wife and I enjoyed some fine wine and an incredible meal. Our server was fantastic!! Check this place out if in Edmonton.
Hardware Grill was incredible again. Yes again, most times you hear of a good restauranttry it second time or third its a let down NOT here. I had the Seabass unbelievable and screaming hot I have thought about the potato crepes for days, my husband had the steak said reminded him of a 42 day aged steak, he had in Vegas, awesome.Thank you for a great evening and a wounderful celebration of our... more
Great place for lunch and dinner. Had the goat cheese fritters and a lamb burger. Both tasted fantastic and very reasonably priced.
This time was for a business lunch and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion. A great selection of lunch options and the four of us all had different items from the menu. Everyone loved what they chose. I be visiting The Hardware Grill the next time Im in Edmonton for sure.
Well appointed, excellent food. Will be on our list as a top choice.
I received a recommendation to try this restaurant from a friend. Honestly, I was disappointed with the food. I found it to be "nothing special" and I must admit that I expected more. There was nothing "wrong" with the dishes. They simply lacked "inspiration". The Warm Goat Cheese Fritters were served on mesclun greens of the variety that you would find in any supermarket. The toasted hazel... more
I had not been to the Hardware Grill for some time and was delightfully reassured that theyhad not lost their touch. I will absolutely go back again and again , sooner this time.I was there at lunch, was greeted and seated promptly with the little touch that they identified my lunch partner was my brother......service was attentive but not intrusive and my meal was delicious.
Absolutely delicious food, from soup to entrée to coffee and dessert! We had a birthday lunch there, and the most expensive entrée was $20, which I thought was very reasonable for such sumptious food AND presentation. There was also a wonderful variety of dishes for all us foodies to choose from!
I went here for an anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. Ther Server was great when he was there, but it felt as if we were on the backburner at times. The food was amazing! On the top 3 list of my most enjoyed meals in the city food wise. Great detail, and a wide variety in choice.Extensive wine list as well(although pricey, but well worth it!)
Went once on a whim and had a wonderful evening in every way.
Great food and friendly staff, waht more can you ask for when dining out.
Had meals here three times service is top-notch menu is wild presentation always fascinating. Very expensive menu.
I travel often and wide - this restaurant would be a great restaurant in any international city. An exciting menu present bold flavours and fresh seasonal ingredients.
Well prepared and presented food, innovative tastes. Staff courteous and knowledgable..know when to serve and when to leave you alone.
I ate there last week. The meal was great up until the point where I starting feeling ill immediately after leaving, a situation that only improved after throwing up everything I'd eaten a couple of hours later.
Food is always outstanding and service warm friendly and professional
All I kept hearing was ranting and raving as one of the best places to have a steak. So I decided to take my business partner who happens to be a Steak afficiniado, a butcher and was an owner of a Steakhouse chain in USA. The windows are all covered otherwise the drunk street people would be staring in. The location is questionable for a high end restaurant. We ordered wine, and asked for... more
Great food, great ambience, a good wine list. But with a rather unattentive server, a bad vintage, and rather large main course portions, I might wait a while to go back
Excellent service for how busy they were, right from the appetizers to the main course, flawless food and service.
Awesome food and atmosphere. Went there for the first time Friday night, and it was really busy, but they sitted us still fairly quickly. Good Service.
One of the best places in the downtown core. I work as a Concierge at the Westin hotel downtown. The Hardware grill is one of the first resturants we recommend. Food and atmosphere are excellent if you need to relax after a long day of meetings.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, value for money and an all around great tasting meal. the Hardware Grill is on my favorites list, try it out!
Now this is a place that has it all...its always busy so there is always something going on...sometimes it gets a little too busy and they should have more staff on but they getby...whether you want to just stop in for a quick sandwich or have a full meal with at few drinks...stop here....and give it a try
funky old converted hardware store with a grand view of the macdonald hotel.the entrees are superb the staff friendly and the wine list is extensive. kudos to the staff and owners.one of the best five stars anywhere.
I gave this place a try due to a friends influence, she had told me that they had a very comfortable atmosphere and the food they prepare is done to your liking. I was skeptical at first but gave in and am most please that I did. I had the tenderloin and it was most amazing, I will certainly return to this establishment.
The Hardware Grill has nested itself quite nicely in the former Edmonton landmark - the old WW Arcade Dept. Store. Without a single overstated appointment, the elegant decor disappears, rather than distracts; and the soaring ceilings and well placed--and spaced--tables permit the privacy for business or the intimacy for pleasure. The service is just informal enough to be comfortable, and never... more
Progressive five star dinning! I have never been disappointed at Lunch or dinner. Service, food atmosphere and wine list are EXCELLENt!
Fantastic Food and great Wine List. Attentive service and a great atmosphere. Overall a fantastic experience.
My daughter and her friend were at the Hardware Grill for dinner last night to celebrate a birthday. They were very pleased with their meals, however, they were made to feel very uncomfortable by their waiter (darker complexion, short hair, slim gentleman). He treated them like they were out of their element and should have been eating at McDonalds. He inferred that they did not know how to... more
This was the worst restaurant i have ever dined in. Not only was my poultry undercooked the waiters and waitres' seem to think that they are better than you. So you could imagine that the service was horrible. Having made reservations I still had to wait 20 minutes before being seated.
Hardware Grill is a American, Regional Canadian, and Canadian restaurant where most Menuism users came for a romantic date, paid more than $50, and tipped more than 18%.Tags: Downtown, American, and Reservations Stats:3 users want to eat at Hardware Grill1 user loves Hardware Grill
This well-respected restaurant has garnered much praise in its five years. Renowned throughout Alberta (and beyond), it seems to do everything right, from decor to cuisine to wine. Housed in what was once a hardware store, the restaurant traded in hammer and nail for spatula and corkscrew, to terrific effect. The menu specializes in "prairie regional cuisine," meaning that it takes advantage of... more
Located downtown, across from the Shaw Conference Centre and close to the \'arts district,\' the Hardware Grill is definitely one the trendiest restaurants in Edmonton. Everything from the beautiful hardwood flooring to the glassed-in \'show\' kitchen and the 180-item wine list screams quality. The impressive menu focuses on \'Canadian prairie\' cuisine, featuring such items as Bacon Wrapped... more
