I like this place when I'm not overly starving and want good quality sushi. I find it to be expensive for the amount you get.... the nigiri is the same size as you would receive at an all you can eat sushi and the rolls are pretty small as well. Very Friendly

Normally I would use Hana Sushi for business meetings, but my family love the sushi here and I can always watch Sumo on the screen. The foos is reasonably priced, but it is excellent!

I was hoping this place would have better sushi than the reviews but I didn't think it did. The rice was very chewy and the fish not that great. The rolls I had all kinda tasted the same despite ordering a variety and I didn't leave feeling like I wanted to come back. Way better places in the city for sushi.

Excellent Chefs

Hana sushi, like all sushi restaurants, lives and dies by its fish. This place has some of the best tasting fish in the city. Their chefs take the time to create visually appealing and delicious food. Favourites: Stampeder, Double Happiness, and Dragons Eye (its huge).

I had lunch there the other day with a few coworkers and the owner came over to our table with a huge smile and gave us a free order of Edamame. Excellent service, great sushi

Ordered take out - veggie sushi and soba noodle miso soup. While waiting we were offered tea and the order arrived very promptly. Easily best service and selection in the city (that I have had!)

Not Bad

I like this place overall, but have some sticky points. The Salad is always sitting in a bowl of water! Also the owner seems really dissinterested in us, like she can't wait for us to leave. But the price is right and the food is good by Calgary standards. I do keep going back as it is good value, but have trouble lending a whole hearted endorsement.

A Must-try Restaurant

I lived just around the corner from Hana Sushi for a couple of years. I dined in on numerous occasions and ordered take-out countless times. The Hana Boat (salad and miso soup followed by a combo platter of fresh sushi and sashimi) is absolutely delicious. It's more than enough food for two people. In fact, I don't think my wife and I have ever finished the whole thing in one sitting.

Traditional Japanese cuisine with an emphasis on seafood and sushi. Has a comfortable neighborhood feel. Friendly & helpful staff for the novice sushi eater.

Good food, lacking service

We've only eaten at Hana Sushi once but we take out every weekend. The service is lacking but the food is excellent. The one time we ate there it took forever to find the server to pay our bill. But we always go there because the food is so good.

If you like Japanese food and you live anywhere in the valley you have to come hear. Good food, Good service. The Japanese bear is to expensive though make sure you know how much your getting before you order or better yet stick with the domestic or the cold sake, its good.

Good quality at moderate prices. The sushi/sashimi combos, including "Love Boat" offer good value as compared to other Sushi restuarants in the Beltline area.
