Multiple visits

Was working in Brandon for 2 weeks, and attended gullivers 3-4 times! Each time the food was great, no matter what I got! Chicken parm, soup, pizza, ribs, fish - ALL good!

Meh

Food was acceptable but bland. Old grungy family restaurant atmosphere with no obvious renovations or upgrades in 20 years. The smell of wood smoke upon entering was pleasant but I did not try the wood fired pizza which may have been what I should have had. One will never know as I don't see the need to go back.

The best

I am one of their regular customers . The food is excelent , very good lunch menue, their soups are fantastic

Bring an appetite - excellent value ribs and stuff

When they say a full rack - they don't mean a long thin 2 in wide rib rack - they mean 8 inch wide and near a foot long - and they are good too.

Good Food

My family eats here regularly because of the good food and reasonable prices. It can get very busy at which time the service can be slower but its worth the wait. They also have really good specials as well and a great selection of alcoholic beverages.

Unwilling to accommodate

Attempted to have supper on Saturday,december1st. Service and food have been great in the past, not this time. I have visible physical handicap- went at 4 in afternoon as knew they would be busy later. Asked for a table as can't physically sit well in booth. Gulliver's Grill has gone downhill

Family

I like the food and I like the fact its kid friendly meaning that you aren't the only ones with little folks.They have a great menu that suits everyone.

Greatest Cheesecake and Apple Betty

We were recommended this place for dessert - so I am only reviewing this as such, because we didn't eat a full meal there. The desserts are very good! From what I understand, they are all made in-house and - they are VERY good.

Our server was very friendly and very chatty. The food was excellent and so were the drinks. We didn't have to wait very long.
It was moderately priced- certainly a good place to cap off our weekend. Highly recommend.

The menu has a good variety and I always enjoy my meal there.

This restaurant is finished. We had dirty dishes, dirty table, dirty seats, grungy film on top of booth back. Salmon had lots of bones. The rest of the food was good. Staff is trying but obviously the ownership doesn't care and is just milking it for all thats left to get out of the business.

Wonderful dining experience

I've visited this restaurant on many occasions, and I'm always impressed with the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu is very comprehensive for lunch and for dinner, and reasonably priced. The booth I sat in was a bit uncomfortable, and perhaps in need of some updating. Food was very good!

Amazing

The food was fantastic! The seating new refurbished... BADLY! But the size of the menu and the prices of the food make up for it! I always have pasta when I i have the pleasure of going there... Very high quality of food and homemade gailic bread. Yum!

Over priced 2 inch processed chicken fingers and manergers who don't care

I paid 11.75 for 4 2inch processed chicken fingers and a small cesar salad. When I complained to the manager. The manager can only say at least it is better than Wendy's. I told the manager that at least I would be full if I spent 11.75 on real chicken finger and cesar salad at Wendy's. The manager had nothing... more

Excellent food, superior cheesecakes

Since I live in Brandon I've been there a lot. Its not the most upscale place but the atmosphere gives it that tone. All the good is great with an excellent choice of appetizers and desserts to top it all off. Whether you're there for lunch, supper, or apps and a dessert this place is fantastic. not too impressed

i had ordered a calzone......... teh plate was extremely hot but the calzone was lukewarm at best...... the melted cheese inside was not quite melted..... very dissapointed.
The waitress was late coming to ask about the meal, i did not even mention its temperature. had expected more from this place

decent food, terrible service

Our service was terrible. We came in and were told we would have a 10-15 minute wait. From my eavesdropping, someone wasn't ready for their shift and the other servers were full. Along comes the manager and tells them to seat us, apparently in their "super deluxe" section. We were seated next to construction in an area with 2 mangled... more

Mediocre at Best

I have gone to Gulliver's for years, but find myself wanting to go there less and less. The food quality has been getting worse, and the restaurant itself is needing many repairs ie: the upholstery, flooring, etc. They do change their menu often which I do enjoy. Their serving staff is generally pleasant, except for there occasionally snotty hostesses.

After nearly a decade of visits

My friends and I have frequented this restaurant for YEARS! I have gone many times for work get togethers, dinners with family and friends or just to chit chat over a coffee and one of their fabulous deserts! Not once have I ever had significant issue with my meal and I have always tipped well as to reflect their service.... more

Very disappointing

My kids took me out for Mother's Day 2009, and encouraged me to order something very nice. The appetizers were great... My first alcoholic drink was a double, Ice Tea, and it tasted terrible. Easter Sunday 09. Took my wife to Gulliver's in Brandon Manitoba. I ordered Liver. When the plate arrived I tried to cut the liver, had a hard time doing it, so I turned it over and it was burned black. Huge rack of ribs

Ordered a full rack of ribs. It was truly a full rack and they were excellent. Great desserts and good service.
