Family owned Motel with nice warm atmosphere. Centrally located and surprisingly quiet place. Worth spending few days or a week. Prices are very good.

The motel is close to the Surrey Memorial Hospital, which is what we needed. We were basically their to sleep. Disapointed that their was no coffee pot, the shower curtain was not weighted.
I wanted to be able to go sit with my brother in the ICU at the surrey hospital. This motel is a block away it was perfect. It was clean and I just needed to sleep there. It was perfect.
Tidy and comfortable, nothing fancy but pretty good for the price.
If you're looking pretty cheap, quiet and clean place to stay for a couple days in Surrey, that's exactly what you need. Please don't expect a comfort of many stars' hotel, but everything is decent.
Stayed here for three days in August 2014. Took a room with Kitchenette was very pleased with the room but the staff was very unhelpful and unfriendly. The room was not cleaned in three days despite two requests. If they changed their outlook on customer service, this would be a good place to stay. No in-room coffee and no iron/ironing board. I will not stay here again.
Sometimes you just don't feel at home in a motel, and in this motel it sure was the case! The manager wasn't exactly friendly in the first place, so I wasn't too. Anyway, the rooms aren't much to start with, no coffemaker, and the wifi didn't work. So I went back to the front desk to file a complaint, turned... more
We weren't sure what to expect, especially considering this hotel was half the price of the cheapest places in the area but gave it a try because everything was booking up. If you are looking for fancy amenities, don't go here but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to spend a couple nights at a great rate,... more
My mum and I had the worst experience here. We stayed for 3 nights and our rooms were never cleaned for all 3 nights sheets and towels were never changed, and garbage was never taken out. On the second night we finally complained to the manager on duty and his next question made me boil over with anger he asked... more
We stayed here for a shopping and sightseeing trip for three days. We like cooking in our room and the full sized fridge made storing our groceries really convenient. The location is very good for getting to shopping centers, skytrain or driving to the US border or Richmond.
The room was clean and came with cable TV and wireless internet, but the air conditioner didn't work. There's plenty of parking, I never had any trouble finding a spot by our room. An excellent choice if you're on a budget.
A oublier.... more
Very dark room, uncomfortable bed. Far from everything except hospital. But it was clean.
We travelled from Vancouver Island to Surrey as my husband had an appointment with an eye specialist in Surrey. We rented the two-bedroom apartment which was an excellent choice as we also had a friend travelling with us. The rooms were comfortable and pricing was quite reasonable.
Booked 2 rooms for family - both rooms had disgustingly dirty, unchanged sheets - hairs, stains, yellow - dirty rugs. Missing bulb in one lamp and the other room bulb was burned out. Toiletries are old wrinkled shampoo packs from 70's stock and towels smelled simply run through rinse. I checked in at such a late hour, with 5 young... more
Sorry we didn't check this motel out a little more closely... Our room was disgusting !! We were very tired when we checked in, otherwise, we would have left as soon as we saw where we were going to spend the night !! It was filthy, smelly, and would NOT recommend this to anyone. Most motels and hotels were fully... more
Since the closure of the Compass Point Inn, this is now the closest accommodations to the King George Skytrain station. It's maybe an 8 minute walk along the well lit King George Blvd, so even at night it's no big deal.
The check-in process was quick, my reservation was accurate and the staff was friendly. They charge a $25 damage...

Honestly, I've read other people' comments when I was arrived in that room. I've checked all the room. Yes, I agreed with them. Everything is filthy (the bathroom, carpet, towels and etc.). Managers and staffs are unfriendly and they look evil. I had a pretty bad nightmare in that room. I was dreaming in the same room and trying to... more
First, I would like to say that the photo displayed here, does not match the motel at the address 9414 King George Highway, V3V 5W3 Surrey. I am talking about Grouse Creek Motel at the address I have mentioned.
I spent one night there in Summer 2012. I was unhappy with the following/ Air Conditioner needs repair. It should not...

My wife and I stayed here for one night. We had reserved for 2, but were too disgusted to make it through the second night. We spent our second night up the road at the Compass Point Inn (which was a much, much better experience).
Our "non-smoking" room reeked of cigarette smoke, and there were cigarette burn marks in the...

I stayed here a few weeks ago after booking through booking.com. The property was clean and at the end of the day, you get what you pay for. I couldn't ask for much considering I paid $75.00. The rooms are basic, more importantly, neat and tidy. The location is probably the most ideal aspect - close to skytrain which was... more
The place was exceptionally quiet, and clean. Staff were generally nice and helpful. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite which had a separate bedroom from the living room and a kitchen. The price was fantastic. The located was central - close to transit, local shops, and parks. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here for the Olympics, but only because nothing else was available by the time we booked. We arrived to find the sheets in our room weren't washed: lots of hair in the bed and on the pillows. Luckily we were allowed to switch rooms. The rooms all smell of cigarettes. The staff is decently friendly. You can definitely... more
The room is like a one bedroom apartment, so the kitchen are handy but have no microwave (what's up with that!). The room are relatively clean except it is a old place, so you cannot expect petty stuff. The worst thing is the air conditioner (small window unit on the wall); it is for the living room only. The unit... more
Finding we needed a 3rd night in the Surrey area after booking 2 nights at a Travelodge and they didn't have a 3rd night for us, we booked about a week in advance at the Grouse Creek Motel.
As advertised, it was quiet. With tax the one queen room was $75. The bathroom was acceptable though my traveling companion has...
