So much potential...but I just don't get it.
The food is pretty good, but I think they're trying to hard to be hip or hipster-esque. I just don't get it. Please clean this restaurant.
Awesome patio, not-so-clean restaurant.
The food is alright. The patio is wonderful in the summer. I only ever eat there if I get a patio seat because the inside isn't the cleanest. Friendly staff though.
Good food, If They Have It...
This cute little resto on Bathurst street has some really fresh, healthy and tasty food choices. They also have some great on tap selections of raspberry wheat beer and maybe of the great Mill Street brews. This place is cute and trendy with the decor and often features some great local artist on their walls. The only problem with this place is they often never have what is on the menu. The rasta rolls are to die for, but I've only been able to order them the one time and they never seem to have any left when I've stopped in...also they do a mean grilled tempeh wrap...which also rarely seems to be available.. :(

I use to live across the street from Grapefruit Moon and the convenience was a factor in eating there so much. It's an adorable little restaurant and the food tastes pretty good. I have to admit, that it was overpriced for what it was, so I'd usually end up going North on Bathurst to K-OS, which is nearly half the price for breakfast. Grapefruit's Curry chicken wrap was my all time favourite, but alas, they removed it from the menu. It's family friendly, which was 'not so awesome' when nursing a hangover.
Overall, a cute little restaurant with average (local) food, a little too grungy, a little too pricey and trying a little too hard to be cool/artsy.

Literary types, U of T alum, profs, and families stretch out their legs on side patio while munching on brunch. Most will be hard pressed to get a table inside the 25-seat space. Cluttered with patrons, digs are minimalist with exception to a bike hanging above back wall and tchotchkes scattered on back counter. Overrated

We had heard so many great things about Grapefruit Moon that we gave it a try on three different occasions. The first time we went with friends who are regulars and it was fun, it was cool and we enjoyed ourselves. The food was good. Had I written this review then, it would have been very different.

June 09, 2014We came to stay in Toronto for two weeks from Atlanta. One thing I thought we knew in Atlanta was brunch. WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING IN ATLANTA. Great place, great beer, great vibe and THE BEST BRUNCH EVER. Also, wait staff is fun, helpful and informative. Katie, especially, was super helpful. Thanks!

Maybe we were there on an off day... food was very pedestrian--salsa straight from a jar, refried beans straight from a can, "guacamole" that was avocado with nothing added. Service slow and not even a little bit friendly. There was a line-up, so obviously our experience wasn't the norm.

Sweet for brunch

April 07, 2013We went for the first time on a Sunday for breakfast. It was most enjoyable. The veggie wrap, blueberry pancakes and French toast were all very much enjoyed. The portions are large and the service was prompt and friendly. It is small and busy and not a place for private conversations but we will definitely be going back.

Finest organic beef burgers in town

Great friendly service in a very busy spot.
I love their burgers with everything. They also have special spicy relish which I always add to my burger. The coffee is also good and strong. The wraps are good and so is the breakfast but I usually go for the burger when I visit the Grapefruit Moon.

A bit out of the way and poorly decorated, this is a zircon in the rough.
Excellent selection of local craft beers with knowledgable staff. Food is basic but local and natural.

It's lonely and grey on
January 08, 2008It's lonely and grey on Bathurst St, but Grapefruit Moon provides the little bit of sunshine. Food is, I believe, locally grown. Fairly pricey and sometimes a miss, but generally a pretty decent place to go in a city overrun by mediocre establishments.

July 01, 2007I would give Grapefruit Moon a 4.5 stars if this app allowed half stars but the one thing that holds them back from a 5 is their service darn it all.Their food is almost always great and their offerings are tasty fresh veggie friendly and reasonably priced and organic.
