I can only base my review on take out because i have only eaten it when my parents bring it home. It is one of our favourites. I LOVE their prawn noodle soup dish that they only have on the weekends, It is so tasty with big slices of egg in it.

Dingy, there for the fare

Located in a waning food court with a char siew rice stall on the right and a Filipino food stall on the left, Gourmet Garden offers an overpriced menu of Singapore/Malaysian food. I've avoided anything "sambal" since they once served up vinegar-based chicken and didn't give a refund. Otherwise, the satay, char kuay teow, laksa, etc., are okay.

It’s part of a food court so it’s not an actual restaurant bur sometimes it’s these places that serve the best food. Best place for assam laksa, popiah and nonya kueh
September 26, 2010This is the best place I have found that serves authentic assam laksa, popiah and nonya kueh like in Malaysia. I come from Ipoh which my family considered as the best place to eat in Malaysia. I used to have the most delicious popiah near the old theatre or Kong Fatt in Ipoh. Great Malaysian food selection! Ipoh owners!
January 20, 2010I went last weekend and found the place in an outdoor plaza. Reminds me of Ipoh Garden with all the hawker stores. You order and then wait for the vendor to call you over. Left Malaysia about 30 years ago and this is the best Malaysian food vendor I have come across.
