"If you're into" watching airplanes take off and land, this "airy", "upscale" Pacific Northwester in the Fairmont "overlooks the tarmac" at Richmond's Vancouver International Airport, and its "terrific" staff delivers "surprisingly good" plates; those who find the food "expensive" may still find courage in a "strong" drink at the bar before they "tackle the security line-up."

Just couldn't do the food court or even one of the sit down restaurants for dinner at YVR, they really are bad, especially Hanami (before security International terminal). Breakfast buffet is awesome
September 28, 2013The breakfast buffet at the Globe is expensive but it is awesome. The choice of food was endless and the quality was top notch. It surpassed any breakfast buffet we had during our two-week trip to Paris and Nice, France, and it was cheaper too! Be sure to come with a big appetite, you will not be disappointed.

High Tea at Vancouver Airport Fairmont - marginally above average

If you're looking for a classy meal at YVR airport, this is really the only place, and while it's not cheap ($12 for a salad, $28+ for main course, $13 and up for dessert), the quality is high. It is not, however, the place for a quick meal before you dash for the plane.
