The atmosphere in this restaurant is very nice for a small place, gives you a warm Asian feel, very authentic. The waitresses are nice and friendly. The food is great, if you like the authentic Thai this is one of them. ( I've been to Thailand 4 times and know Thai food.) Their food here is authentic not overly sweet like a lot of places that I tried before. I love the freshness of their spring rolls. My favorite is Panang Curry chicken. Many options available for vegetarian like my friend. Highly recommended.
Worth a try. Offers authentic thai food, nothing overly spectacular but decent enough to crush that thai cravings.
I've driven by this place so many times and today I finally decided to pop in for a solo lunch. I feel very conflicted writing this review so let me start with the good.
This place is definitely family owned and run, which gives it a level of charm that most restaurants don't have. I overheard the bubbly waitress shevon (sorry for the spelling) greeting a customer by their first name. They...

Looking for authentic Thai food in Brampton is quite a task. Usually when you find a place its usually a mixture of Vietnamese/Pho/Thai or Chinese/Thai. Not to say that this isn't good...its just not the same as a place that specializes in traditional Thai recipes. On recommendations for Yelp GTA Elites..I was directed to Freshly Thai with a guarantee of authentic Thai recipes and preparation.

Came here for lunch with one. We ordered a Pad Thai and green curry (I think it was)? The food was good though I've had better. Service was attentive and the server was really nice! I would return for a quick grab to eat (if I'm in the area) but not very often.
Parking can be a nightmare, I had to circle around the block twice before I could find a spot.
EXCELLENT Thai food. EXCELLENT customer service. A family business operated by three lovely sisters couldn't be more pleasing. The food is superb! I have been going to this restaurant for 3 years or more and have to restrain myself to once a week. They have a lovely outdoor patio for summer dining. This is a 5 Star PLUS restaurant.
Came here with my family. We ordered the freshly Thai platter (the spring rolls were delicious!) as well as the honey garlic beef, chicken pad thai, delicious scallops, fried fish with tamarind sauce (can't remember the name) and a fish curry. We asked that the fish curry and scallops be spicy, but they were quite mild. The honey garlic beef however was really spicy! My brother couldn't handle... more
I have been a loyal customer to this restaurant since it opened, but I am sad to say the service at my last visit is the reason I will never return. I ordered takeout for my family at least once every week and thought I would bring some of my friends from out of town to try the food I've been raving about. I brought in 10 potential new customers and was just shocked at the service we received.... more
Was delighted to find a Thai restaurant and have eaten here a few times. The restaurant is quaint and nicely decorated. There is only one lady ever working, waiting on tables, ringing up take-out orders, running back and forth from the kitchen, etc. She's friendly but ridiculously frazzled. Aside from taking my order and dropping off my food, I never see her again. Don't expect another shot at... more
It taste like hospital food. No taste or flavour. The worst Thai I have ever tasted. I ordered the spring rolls and they tasted like they were previously frozen. The cashew nut chicken was watery and taste was poor.
Food and service was wonderful at this restaurant. Located in the heart of Brampton, we didn't expect to find authentic thai food. Parking is located at the front of the restaurant or on the street. There is also a parking building located behind the restaurant. We ordered the "freshly thai" platter to start and everything was very fresh and made to order. The chicken and beef skewers were... more
I really like the food here. The service less so.
Food's priced well. It's flavorful and fresh. When I ask for spicy, they (usually) make it spicy. I really enjoy rice paper rolls/salad rolls, and I like theirs bunches! They make them just how I like them. For an entree I usually get a noodle dish, such as pad seew or basil noodles, but I dig the green curry as well.
The service is super...

Had the chicken pad Thai; it was really great and flavorful. And the portion is huge, so bring your appetite!
The Satay chicken was really great as well, lots of great flavours.
Fair prices and friendly staff. During the day it is not busy so I got a seat right away, and the food came really fast too.
This place use to be good, not anymore. The vegetables in the chicken curry now consist of potatoes and onions :( . Gone are the peppers, broccoli, etc. Soooo disappointing!
I LOVE this place!! This is my favourite Thai restaurant literally in the world.
Family run and very friendly, helpful service. All of the curries are super delicious that we have tried so far. I love the tom kha soup, which has a coconut milk broth, fresh mushrooms, and cilantro - YUM! The fish lover dish (Pla Rad Prik) was absolutely scrumptious, think fried crispy fish drizzled with a spicy...

I pass by this restaurant many times in the past four years and I never tried it out. So I decided to grab dinner there last night. Not bad. I ordered pad Thai, and pineapple fried rice. The pad Thai is pretty good, I think it's better than Thai express. Pineapple fried rice on the other hand was a bit disappointing. The rice was overcooked and mushy. But I wanted it spicy, and the lady was... more
I went to this restaurant with my boyfriend to have a nice meal earlier this week. We ordered the Freshly Thai Platters for our appetizer and there was a bug in one of the Freshly Thai Rolls. No apology was given until several moments later and when the apology was given, it was very insincere. We unfortunately decided to stay... more
Very good vegetarian food. I loved the taste of authentic Thai. Excellent service.
It's very small place but food was awesome.
Was looking for Thai food in the local area as my mom really wanted some for her birthday dinner. We didn't want to go to the default Thai express as the one nearby is horrific! It tastes nothing like any of the other ones. There is a lot of variations which there should not be as its supposed to be... more
Cute decor and space. Friendly service. Food was ready quickly for take out and the price was reasonable. I like spice, but I found their dishes to be a touch hotter than typical North American thai fare... Including their chicken pad thai. Be warned if spicy isn't your thing. Amazing mango salad tho! Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a fair priced dining option with a bit of... more
My first experience with Thai food was at Freshly Thai. My husband and I went for lunch (which is a great deal, by the way!) - I had the red curry with tofu, which tasted incredible - I had never had anything quite like it. I've since realized that I can't do this for dinner - a bigger portion makes... more
Really great food for all. Several vegan dishes and menu has gluten free dishes as well, as I needed both options. They make their own sauces as they don't like to use preservatives. They can modify most dishes to the way you want...ie less spice, more spice. We had a dance recital at the Rose Theatre and it was only... more
I Love the ladies that own this place. They are always very friendly and will do anything to please. A quant little place. The food is good, not the best Thai I've ever had but certainly the best around here.
I had high hopes for this place but was disapointed. The service is good and the staff are friendly. The menu is sizable, the portions are generous but the food does not have the depth and complexity of good Thai food. The balance of flavours is missing and the over use of certain vegetables is a bit odd.
It is a Thai restaurant and not Taiwanese as the description notes.
The food is good, as spicy as you can handle and the location is convenient for walking around downtown or attending a show at the Rose Theater. The locale is good, the wait staff friendly (the owner is Thai and is typically working the reception and the kitchen),...

I didn't really like the food I didn't get what I wanted in my order and language is often a barrier.
Time and time again, I've gone to this place thinking the exact same thing "hell, i'll give it another chance" but end up leaving disappointed.
Ive had their curries which, lets be honest, isnt really that special nor are their other rice dishes. And i think the biggest mistake ive ever ordered were the fried springrolls and tomyum soup which...

Very good standard Thai food. Flavorful without excess oil. Very friendly service and reasonable prices.
Don't understand these previous few reviews
We were taken there last weekend and found the food fabulous, tasty and great array of vegetables at a price which was very low , I was happily suprised
The place was completely full and the tables just kept filling up, that's very telling in a positive way how good the restaurant is

My fiance and I are clearly on a mission to test every gluten free offering in the Brampton area. After a quick google search we decided to check out Freshly Thai. We ordered over the phone (take-out) and arrived about 30 minutes later to pick up the food. The location was a little difficult to find and had a tiny parking lot (I think 5 cars max!) Thankfully a space was open so we could quickly... more
Food is average but seems healthy.. No MSG and less oil. May be that is why it is average.

Given Freshly Thai's reputation here on TripAadvisor, I expected higher quality and better value. Having lived in in the Far East (Singapore) for a few years, and having traveled extensively in hat region of the world, I have fair notion of what counts for quality cuisine in Thailand. The entrees I purchased at FT were bland and uninteresting; dull seasoning,... more
Very cozy restaurant run by friendly staff, right in the downtown Brampton area. Good selection in the menu . Dishes with varying levels of -spice range available.Loved the Pad thai. Do try the Thai iced coffee which was exceptional, very different from the regular iced coffee that we are used to
First off, the cuisine is Thai (as you might expect), not Taiwanese as Tripadvisor lists.
After the great reviews we expected to find a somewhat upscale place in a nice neighbourhood. In fact, it is very casual, in a so-so area. Although just a block away from the Rose Theatre at the centre of town. Don't let that put you...

Fresh food ... well prepared (and not OVER prepared) .... perfectly spiced .... lots of variety ... friendly staff. I LOVE spicy food, so loved the spice levels ... but my partner felt the spiciness level was a bit much for his tastes. Didn't stop us from returning later the same week though!

I was very pleasantly surprised at how romantic this small restaurant is, it is a real treat to have a nice restaurant in Brampton. The food was very good too; A good blend of flavors, plenty of vegetables. Be advised that the spiciness level is a bit higher than your average Thai restaurant, so specify your spice level accordingly.

The friendly staff at Freshly Thai seemed overwhelmed that their little spot was full of customers the night we visited. We could see that some seated patrons were forgotton as soon as they were given a table and they were forced to ask the frantic wait staff for menus. Our drinks were forgotton as well. The decor was nice enough... more
Very good, read about the place on here decided to give it a shot. Amazing! Love the atmosphere, wait staff was very friendly and kept drinks full. Prices were great. Food was excellent. Definitely going back soon!
This is by far the best Thai restaurant I have ever eaten at. I love everything about eating there! . Everyone who works there is very friendly . We are treated like VIPs from the time we walked in the door until we left. I highly recommend everyone try this restaurant. Not only are the food and staff over the... more
What a nice little place. There was a big patio with plenty of seating but unfortunately no shade umbrellas, so we avoided that and ate inside. We liked it inside. The decor was pleasant, simple and well kept. The number of tables was not over crowded, and great for couples and small groups. The hostess/server was smiley and attentive but... more
The 3 star rating is definitely for service (4 stars if it was only based on service)
When we first walked in the sign reminds me a bit of "poutine dare to be fresh" down the street, same neon green. It is west of main on queen and has its own tiny little parking lot (5-6 cars). Not a big place, maybe 7-8 tables and some were filled when we came in sans reservations (although it was a Thursday...
