About 20 of us were there for a birthday celebration. Service was quick, food was fantastic, no hassles getting individual bills. No [--] automatic gratuity added because we were a group. (note to restaurants; we won't ever return if this is pulled on us) We tipped generously because the food and service were GREAT!
I went to Freddy's for appies and a beer before returning to the Kelowna airport. We wanted to try it as it is a brewpub. For the outside the restaurant looks unwelcoming and we almost didn't go inside. We were pleasantly surprised with the interior which has been renovated. There are several large TVs, perfect for watching sports. It is... more
Always fine service and excellent food at a reasonable price, usually take people bag home, keep up the good work, love the beer too
Great food and awesome value. We go here often. Awesome beer all brewed in house with no preservatives. Service can be hit and miss but overall a great place to go.... more
Went there for lunch today. The service was TERRIBLE! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! The waitress brought us each a water, took our order and left. She came back with the food and then we didn't see her again. We had wanted to have beers with our meal, but no luck as the waitress was busy with the bartender. (I should add it... more
Very nice staff she didn't charge for pop refills and was very patiant when i couldn't decided what i wanted.
This was the first pub my partner and I visited when we moved to Kelowna and wow we did not expect what we saw ( I mean that in a good way). When you first come in they have a nice pub with different sections meaning if you want privacy you can go to their corner where it is sectioned... more
Really good pub with `restaurant-like` menu. All micro house brewed beers, and they are really nice. Lots of TVs for sports, and they`re attached to the bowling alley for entertainment before or after your meal. Try the garlic fries, so so yummy!
Freddy's is a fun place to have a meal, the Pub food is generally good, service is very quick; it can be crowded and noisy, and usually 30 plus type customers. Eating before a bowling match, is convenient, you can watch the bowling from the Pub in some areas.
Pub is attached to bowling center and has karaoke evenings which was why it was so easy to get a seat I imagine, most have learned to avoid it! Nachos were generous but the beer was just OK. I tried two different styles, a pilsner and an ale but neither was terrific, just average.
This place is fine if you have hours to wait for your food.
We waited 20 minutes for a Cearser Salad and the thing is we could see it sitting at the kitchen but the waitress was too busy yapping to go and get it
Garlic fries were crazy good, all other food was mediocre and service was a little slow considering it really wasn't that busy
Having lived in Kelowna since 1968 I have eaten in every major restaurant and all the pubs hundreds of times. I would have to say their excellent microbrewed beers, great food and service make them no1. Greasy it is not. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich with fries & ceasar salad, also a glass sample of all their beers. Its... more
We sent there after a movie with 25 ladies and their spouses. The food was ok. The service was pleasant and polite.
My husband loves the hot wings, and I love all the salads. Summer spinach salad the Best!
One of the best beef dips in town, but the servers we had the two times we went were both useless.
Met my friends from the Newcomers' Club here for lunch and had an excellent time. Good service, good (and plentiful) food, without being rushed. At the table we had three of the home brew that were available and everyone commented favourably. I especially enjoyed the dark ale. We were treated well and not rushed, even though the restaurant was filling... more
The food is top notch and the prices aren't the typical Kelowna high end. Great place to have some pub food and visit with friends!
not a healthy place, goes well with the beer, but really bad for u food
Beer is boring. No IPA. Food sucks. But it is the only brewpub in Kelowna... more
in a strip mall, great for taking kids and having a brew also
When you first arrive at freddys you have a choice to make. Do you what to sit up by the fire and be entertained watching the bowlers, do you want to sit in the large bright sunny patio room, or hide away in a quiet cozy lounge in the back. If you can`t decide just simply sit by the bar... more
We went as we love brew pubs, found by accident. They have a super good dark beer, forgot the name, but they serve it in a really cool glass, its very dark but not heavy. I wish they had it in Vancouver. The food was ok as most pub food is. Bowling and theatre next door, we only found out about... more
Good food and drink located beside a bowling lane . Handy for movie goers which can also purchase a special dinner and a movie special
I've been to this establishment about 10-15 times over the last 10 years. This is a poor brewpub, Just average brews on tap, uneducated staff regarding brews. EI, waitress informed me an IPA is the same as a pale ale. The Pale Ale tastes like a granville Island. Nothing special at all. So don't go out of your way because... more
I took my ski club group of 35 to Freddy's on our return from Silver Star Ski Resort to Big White Ski Resort. Michael had coordinated a fabulous meal with us. Upon arrival, the patio room was all set with blue table cloths, white (paper) napkins, and silverware. What followed was absolutely GREAT!
We started with a bowl of cream...
