We had a good stay in this hotel. We need to travel in the Greater Vancouver area and this hotel is easily accessible going to Burnaby, Vancouver, New West and Richmond.
Air condition is too noise, breakfast is cold , Is too simple , not too much choice even cost more than $10.
Very nice room with two comfy beds. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was for only $69/night. My only complaint is that the room had a very strong smell of air freshener. I called the desk to ask where it was hidden so I could remove it but she didn't know. Opened the window and it was ok after that.
The stay was comfortable, however the people staying that night were very noise. Talking loud in the halls and could hear movement in the room above.
We were travelling back to Calgary from Vancouver & wanted to cut a bit of time off the trip by staying in Surrey for our last night. The hotel was full so we did not get the room we had reserved - we got an upgrade to a suite. I would have been happy to have this room the whole time we were in Vancouver! There was only one queen bed but the sofa folded out to a bed for my daughter so that... more
Room was clean and comfortable. Furniture old and beat up, would have appreciated a better mattress, but then again it was a good deal for the money.
The sink tap and the shower lever both needed repair. We were still able to use them but the shower lever was loose and took some adjusting to get the right temperature. Staff were great
The hotel was fine but when I went in they did not have my Expedia check in or any record of my reservation. The guy was good but it took 15 minutes to confirm. Big dirt stain in carpet but otherwise just fine. Could not charge my breakfast to my room which was odd. Great value.
Good hotel. Clean, comfortable beds and great little restaurant atached.
Room was not as clean as it should be...tub had hair in drain and a cap from toiletry. Bed was hard, lumpy and pillows had seen better days.
My daughter and I went into town for a couple of nights. I thought this was going to be fine. We couldn't find it, when we checked in the room we were given smelt like someone had just done a major work out. We went to front desk and was given a different room, but it took about 20min for the girl to figure it out. They had us down for 4 nights instead of 2 and had our name wrong. There was only... more
We asked for neighbouring rooms so we could be close to the grandkids and they accommodated that request. But, I think they threw together a room that was under maintenance for us since the ceiling fan cover in the bathroom was on the floor, the bath mat was a ragged bath towel and while there were coffee supplies on the counter, there was no coffee maker (I NEED my morning coffee). We were... more
Our stay was just one night and if traveling in the area, would stay at this hotel again.
Good stay for three nights..... Microwave and small fridge in room.
I picked a hotel that had an outdoor pool, picture looked great, very disappointed. Pool was in the shade,no lawn chairs, hot top didn't work, our beds were comfortable, the shower was a joke, just a trickle.
The stay was alright. The room was clean and roomy. The only issue I had was that the front desk. First, they took over 10 min before someone showed up to check me in. Then two of the staffs were getting irritated with each other. Finally, they kept on saying that I was booked with Expedia.com when I was booked with Hotels.com. Besides that, I would stay here again.
Some people at the front desk were RUDE! Rachael was really friendly and helpful. However, there were a few of the caucasion ladies at the front desk who were rude. When asked questions, they didn't quite answer our question, and didn't even bother to help us solve our problems. They basically just shrugged us off when all we asked for was a map. They just said they didn't have a map, and end... more
This was a very nice hotel. Staff was friendly. Had a few issues but staff was very accommodating . Will stay at this hotel again:) kids enjoyed the pool and the hotel restaurant was decent to eat at. Cleaning staff was very friendly aswell!
On the day I was going to the hotel, I was asked on the phone if I would relocate to another Coast hotel which is 20 minutes away and 1 hour from Vancouver. I booked the hotel one week early, there's no reason I would be willing to relocate to somewhere remote on the last minute. So I said no, and it seemed it's OK to reject. But when I got to the hotel, after a 3 hour driving from Seattle, I... more
This review is a reflection of the STAFF ONLY. I wont get in to the details of my stay, as they are between myself and the hotel staff. The GM heard my problem, and dealt with it professionally and promptly. Its not often you find staff that will go to the lengths she did to rectify a situation. I feel... more
Pros:
Great location.
Ok room (suite). Average.
Friendly staff.
Very good gym for a hotel of this size.
Decent price.
Decent dinner (and price) at the attached pub (White Buffalo).
Comfy bed.
Cons:
Very very poor kitchenette. No range, no pots or pans, no can opener. Only a fridge, microwave, sink. No table. Minimal plates etc..
Very dirty outdoor hot...

First and foremost, wonderful front office staff, make you feel welcome as you get in. Interiors well made clean room, noise free. We will definitely stay there again if and around the area.
The stay was good but not too much impressed by restaurant
Nothing bad to say. Pool and hot tub were ok. Restaurant next door was decent with 15% off hotel guests Clean quiet affordable. Was a little far away from downtown but if you pay the toll on the bridge it makes the drive a lot faster.
Stayed on the night of 7/5/2014. The front desk guy kept on asking personal questions: where were you original from, what do you do, how long have you been here, which part of the country were you from? Understanding he was trying to be friendly, I kept my patience. Ten minutes after moving my stuff into the room, I came back to the front desk. The same guy asked: are you checking in now?... more
Heading to Vancouver hotel was located en route and was 30 mins to the city via our vehicle. Comfortable and clean.
No ice machine on the first floor, waited 4 hours to get extra amenities(toothbrushes), air conditioning is old school and not very effective.
Good location and price. Room is clean and quiet area. We wanted to stay 2 more days but they are sold out. We'll. be back to this hotel.
dissappointed book the hotel because of pub and it was closed at 10:00
, July 4 & 5. 2014 We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean & roomy, Bathroom clean. Beds comfortable. Staff friendly. We would stay here again.
The hotel is well kept and the staff was very helpful in giving me the information I needed. The room layout was nice and very clean. Bottom line - I would stay here again.
After the online company called Reservation Counter messed up my reservation with Coast Surrey Guildford Hotel, Jonie, the General Manager, helped correct the situation right away. She gave me and my companions the same rate online and even upgraded our room. That's customer service! The room was very nice and clean and the staff were friendly, courteous and professional. Got into this after a bad experience from another hotel . Front Desk lady was awesome helping us get in. Newly renovated and clean. Nice attached pub with good food. Breakfast buffet was good and nice staff.
I stayed here - GREAT rooms and free breakfast which was amazing. It is very central, yet the traffic noise is not an issue. Staff were amazing - I broke a tooth and they got me all the information I needed to get to a dentist.
I have rented their meeting room for a corporate meeting and everything went smoothly. My associates stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and were pleased with the hotel staff and the sleeping rooms. A complimentary breakfast was included in the rate which was a surprise as it was unexpected. I will be having another event in Surrey and would... more

We booked a total of nine rooms for a baseball team & coaches. The hotel itself is great - friendly staff, clean rooms, etc. We had sent a room list beforehand, and the front desk had it (mostly) under control. They were somewhat short-staffed both on check-in and check-out, but they were reasonably good at it.

Got no sense of genuine hospitality, did not feel that the hotel desired to accommodate it's guests, or cared sincerely about their comfort or experience at the place, but rather simply wanted to bank their money. Too bad.

I found the room worn, shabby and none too clean. When anyone walked in the hallways, it caused the room to vibrate as if with a small earthquake. We stayed here (family of four) at the beginning of july for trhee days. The hotel it's located in a safe area and it's very clean. It's a little bit out of the way and basic to be sure but at around $70/night you can't ask for much more from this hotel. We stayed here with our baseball team. Great place , friendly helpful staff. Excellent hot breakfast in the restaurant. Outdoor pool and hot tub is clean. Will definitely stay again!!! Easy access to trans canada hiway.
When we first arrived and checked in we were given wrong room, which was corrected by staff. The second room though had an old mattress which was h@!%!*n the back. I talked to the front desk, the attendant assured me my stay would be most comfortable and found us another suite. All sincere and understanding with a smile. The... more

I travel a great deal and this hotel did not meet my expectations at all! First, The location is very far from any tourism place in Vancouver. My daughter and I recently stayed at this hotel while attending a family wedding. Various family members were also hosted here, and we all felt quite satisfied with this hotel's service and accommodations.

We chose this hotel because it was near the freeway, pet-friendly, had secure underground parking and had a hot tub and pool, something I was looking forward to after a hard day of moving a family member. This was the best hotel we've encountered on our trip, wish they were all this great a value!
We have gotten everything we needed. Good breakfast and safe underground parking. There was no safety deposit box in the room nor at the front desk - that was a bit inconvienient.
I arrived by bus. The stop was right in front of the hotel-Great location. My grandkids were most interested in the pool & gym, so that is where spent most of our day-Pool was a fair size but not too deep. (5F)The jacuzzi had good temperature & strong jets-I enjoyed sitting in there. Our curtains in the room were broken so I called the front desk & the gal came right up & fixed them - she... more
very good hotel- would advise others to stay. service was good, clean and convenient
staff was very helpful and breakfast was excellent.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way home from the Vancouver Airport. It is a perfect spot to overnight before continuing your journey home. The hot breakfast was great , and the beds were so comfortable. There is also pet friendly with rooms on the ground floor with easy access to the grassy areas.
Our Daughter was married this month so we had a lot of family come into town. The rooms were average besides the funny smell coming from the bathroom. It was also a small room for two queen beds and a small bathroom for two adults and two toddlers. Everything was adequate, if not lackluster. Breakfast was bland one morning, but better the next. The hotel was converted from Ramada and it is seen in everything. The lobby area was renovated and now looks good and fresh. The staff was friendly. Other than that it is a typical 3-star hotel. We got the Premium King Suite on Expedia for a great deal. The bed was so comfortable, with several pillows. Two flat screen TV's and a gas fireplace made this very relaxing. The staff were very accommodating as we needed to switch to a "dog friendly" room for the 3rd night.

“I was extremely pleased with this hotel. It exceeded my expectations in comfortable beds, quiet, clean, great workout room, pools were nicely heated and kept clean. Most surprising was the excellent free breakfast at the attached restaurant. This hotel was amazing value for the price! I would recommend it to anyone and would stay there again!”
Very nice, polite, helpful staff that printed out several computer generated maps for me. The breakfast was partically good and complimentry. I would reccomend my friends and family staying here.
I couldn't believe the value we were getting for the money spent! The room was lovely, everything was very clean. The service I experienced at the hotel was impecable and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean and inviting, and everything worked perfectly. Location was average.
