Got dragged here a few times by clients from small rural towns who thought it was great. Sorry, but three letters come through - MSG. The menu is predictable and on one occasion a person in authority (maybe the manager or owner) was quite unhelpful.
This is a great option for really good chinese food! Lots to choose from and very quick service~
Really good Chinese. Had a bad meal once in the 50+ times I've ordered from them.
always loved this spot for chinese, lately the chow mein has been over cooked (not sure if it was from lunch, since we eat early 4-4:30
Fortune Palace seems to be consistantly good food.
Very freash vegetables and delicious chinese food. Very fast weather you are eating in or taking out. Love the honey garlic spare ribs, spicey prawns, peppered beef, and special chow mein.
We have not been to Fortune Palace in years. It used to be our favourite restaurant for Chinese food but the over the years the food seemed to be less authentic so we stopped eating at Chinese restaurants in Prince George. We ordered pork fried rice , beef and broccoli and lemon chicken for 2 people. All the food arrived... more
We tried this place because of the positive reviews on here......what a disappointment!!. All of the meat in the dishes we ordered was tough and gristly. The chicken in the chicken chow mein was soooo salty!! I think they use tons of msg because one of our group ended up having a migraine soon after dinner. Not one of the... more
We ordered four dishes and had enough for another meal the next night. A good thing most motels have micro-waves. Very enjoyable.
We ordered about 5 dishes, and each dish tasted much like the previous. I doubt that any sauce or marinade was made in house and all tasted like a version of an asian-ish barbeque sauce.
Did I mention we were charged $5 for 4 Chinese teas? I've never been charged for tea anywhere.
The server was pleasant, the place is...

Meal was for a professional group. The food was great and the service was good as well. However, I was disappointed to see a 15% tip added to our bills and was informed at the register that this tip was required. I will not be returning.
This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Prince George. It's an odd location, tucked away on an sidestreet near Jysk & Future Shop. But the inside is nice, with a small banquet room for a private party and a much larger banquet room. The service is usually quick, the food is great and they have an amazing chop suey, with... more
We ordered to carry out, food was fresh hot and ready when we arrived. All of the dishes tasted as you would expect- unique, and genuine. The price is a little bit more then we expected but to feel satisfied and not bloated after Chinese food is always a plus! Will visit again.
Just the other day friends and I only wanted war wonton soup and as usual it was great.
Even when I ordered for deliver it has been very timely.
The food is always excellent whether eating in or take-out. We have even celebrated a big birthday or two at this establishment and the staff and managment were extremely accomodating of all of our requests when setting up for these surprise parties.
Have a good selection of amazing food. Service was the best. I love the fact that they have more authentic food, and you don't feel too guilty after
mmmmm their spicy prawns are the best, only place in town I order chinese food from. honey garlic pork is really good too
The chow mein is one of the worst I've ever seen in the whole of north america. It's just like boiled noodles with pieces of boiled chicken breast, no seasoning, no flavor.
I was apprehensive returning to the gastronomic “Thunderdome” that is Chinese cuisine. My appetite and my colon fought a desperate battle of wills for control over my culinary desires. The decision was made easier by my lack of transportation this week with my Evolution wedged onto Fountain Tire car jacks to get re-shoed. It was either Westwood Pup or a... more
The restaurant serves standard Chinese fare. What sets this place apart is the large portions and low prices -- for $8, I got more than I could eat, and I'm a big fat American eater. I had a combo that included sweet and sour pork, spring rolls, and chow mein. My companion ordered the same, except almond fried chicken instead... more
Fortune Palace is 2nd best place in town. I think China Sail is #1. Regardless, Fortune Palace is good for your typical chinese food.
They have the standard dishes, great meals for one and group combinations. Venture off the normal and they have some really good dishes like seasonal Chinese vegetables and hot pots. The service is top notch.
Always good food and excellent service. No wine by the glass anymore.
Everything here is soooo good. it's always fresh cooked perfectly and reasonably priced.
Hubby and I go here whenever we are in PG. Love the food and service is good as well. Only downside is that service can be somewhat slow even when it is not busy.
Absolutely love this restaurant. Had a lot of food disasters when trying to find a tasty chinese restaurant in Prince George - this restaurant wins on every level. The food is delicious and fairly priced and the staff are always friendly
