It was a great time of year to head up to Huntsville- Fairy Bay to meet up with Friends. The trees were turning and the colour was fabulous! Our hosts at Fairy Bay - John and Christine Kropp were great. They greeted us when we arrived on Friday evening and our stay over the weekend was top notch. The view... more
I chose the Fairy Bay Guest House because I was going to be in Toronto for business and a friend recommended it. My husband and I enjoyed every minute! It was comfortable, spacious, and warm, and the surroundings were just beautiful given that the Canadian foliage was at peak. AND the breakfasts were wonderful...great opportunity to enjoy great foods and... more
My wife and I Chose the Fairy Bay Guest House after reading the many positive reviews. This was an excellent choice. Located just east of Huntsville, the location makes it easy to go into town for dining or entertainment; it is also close the Arrowhead and Algonquin Provincial Parks.
We stayed in the spacious Sandpiper room which has two large...

One of the best guest houses I've ever enjoyed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Other rooms available to guests include upstairs lounge/library, kitchen, downstairs lounge and breakfast room. Outdoor facilities are expansive--lounge chairs, gas grills, picnic tables, canoes, kayaks, fire pit. Breakfasts were healthy and excellent! Easy access to Huntsville and Algonquin.
My wife and I spent the weekend at Fairy Bay Guest House, and it was bliss. The house is located right by the water, and we are able to take the canoe or kayak out for a spin on the lake. At night, we gathered by the campfire and took in the night sky full of stars. In the morning,... more
This was far and away the best b&b we have experienced!! The location was simply beautiful, the accommodations spectacular and the food scrumptious. The hosts, Christine and John, were truly pleasant and very hospitable.
The nightly bonfires and assorted wildlife sightings were icing on the cake! The beachfront was private with beautiful sandy beach and breathtaking view.

Our family spent 5 blissful days at the Fairy Bay Guest House. Our children, 3, 7 and 9, had an absolutely wonderful time playing on the well-kept and (well-stocked!) lakefront beach while just as happily, mommy and daddy were able to relax in Muskoka chairs :)! John and Christine were unbelievably kind and welcoming and went out of their way... more
This is an upscale operation on a stunning location on a quiet, large bay leading into 4 lakes. The views are spectacular. The amenities are more akin to an Inn than a B & B as canoes , kayaks, paddle boats, fishing equipment etc are all available to the guests. The shoreline is all sandy beach, unusual for the Muskokas.... more
While cottage hunting we stayed at the Fairy Bay Guest House for a couple of nights. We were thrilled to find such a great place after having been disappointed at other spots nearby. The new owners, John and Christine, bring lots of experience in hospitality and customer service. They were both kind and Christine cheerfully accommodated our unexpected early arrival.... more
We spent two nights in early September at the Fairy Bay guest house. It has a great location - 40 minutes to Algonquin park, 10 minutes to arrowhead park, just outside Huntsville. Great spacious rooms, amazing outdoors - you go out, and everything is green and flowery, and you walk 15 meters to reach the edge of the lake, with... more
We are Toronto family of three (two adults, one child 12 years old) and stayed at "Fairy Bay" for two nights in July 2011. We are also frequent travelers internationally and locally in Canada and have enough experience to compare multiple cottages, guest houses or other places to stay all year around. We are proud to admit that "Fairy Bay"... more
This beautiful guest house is literally on the shores of Fairy Bay. We had a fabulous relaxing week with friendly, helpful hosts who gave us great tips on what to do/ where to eat/best cakes shops!! Located in a small, quiet road off the main highway, Fairy Bay guesthouse is on a fantastic spot. Marc and Margaret are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful, without being in your face all the time. They were happy for us to do our laundry, we had access to a kitchenette with tea, coffee, cold drinks and crockery and cutlery. We... more
This guest house is not your typical B&B. It reminds us of the small local hotels that you find in Europe. The rooms are very clean, spacious and private. There are two guest sitting areas, one upstairs and one large living/breakfast room looking out at Fairy Lake and the Delta Grandview resort across the lake. Even though it is only... more
I booked this B&B last minute on the long weekend not knowing what to expect other than a few reviews on trip advisor. We were very satisfied - no complaints!! Mark and Margaret who run the place are super kind and attentive. It wasn't crowded and they have a private beach by the lake. It's very quiet and romantic. We... more
We found this wonderful B&B in a Canadian B&B book. Lucky us. The house is modern, built to be a guest house. Rooms are large and comfy. Mark and Margaret are outgoing hosts. Guests enjoy complimentary use of kayak, paddleboat, canoes (including one with electric motor), row boat with 5 hp outboard, and fishing rods. Our youngest son pulled three... more
My husband, young son and I just returned from another wonderfully relaxing visit to Fairy Bay Guest House. I'm not sure why anyone would consider staying anywhere else! The location is ideally situated on the quiet end of Fairy Lake, and is close to downtown Huntsville. While there, we had the use of a pristine sandy beach, canoe with electric... more
Our second visit to Huntsville saw us looking for accomodation (as the B&B we had previously used had closed).
The welcome was great, the expectations from the web site were met. An evening on the lake shore was a great way to wind down after a day touring the area, prior to heading out for an evening meal.
Breakfasts were...
