I really like this gym. Not only is there some great equipment and a lot of classes (which I love), there's always lots of hot guys to check out. :)

Recently signed up here because I like to do group classes more than on my own and I am very happy with extreme! i have done a cycle class, yoga class and a boxing class and i have loved them all! met some cool people too
I recently joined the gym and this is the best experience I've ever had working out. I tried boxing and yoga classes and they were great. I would recommend Extreme Fitness to anyone working or living in North York
The best branch in the area: spacious, clean and full of fit people to get motivated to come often. There's an energy drinks bar at the front. The only thing I don't like about GoodLife is the design of their tiny stairs that leads to the change rooms and the quality of their overused towels. I have been to different gyms all over North America and GoodLife's towels are the worst amongst those... more
Good location
Nice facility
Friendly people working here
But god forbid you have a concern.
You will face manager that will give so much attitude that you will forget your name and all your concerns. In other words don't even approach. She will eat your brains out and will treat you like s@!t before you even open your mouse.
This gym offers great fitness classes with lots of variety. My personal favorite is Body Combat (mixed martial arts kickbox type of class) and Body Pump (strength and conditioning with barbells and stepper). There's also yoga, cycle, swim, body attack, abs/core classes and some boot camp style classes along with dance type classes. It's a little something for everyone. More classes are... more
I was here back when it was still an extreme fitness and got free goodlife gym bags when the two companies merged :)
I love almost everything about this gym:
-A variety of different machines
-free weights are on a separate section upstairs
-Nice room just for core exercises. I used it to do lunges back and forth
-Pool + hot tub + clean showers
-very clean
Cons:
-Could use more changeroom...

This is one of my three favourite gyms on this Yonge strip.
I like the convenience that the gym is directly linked to the subway.
What differs from the other locations: indoor pool, large size yoga studio, large women's change room.
Includes your typical facilities: cycling room - nice and large with nice high ceilings, classroom - smaller than most rooms, free weights - good selections and...

I truly benefit from my platinum plus membership giving my family access to all locations, including most popular classes and this gym stands out for me!! Very clean facility with wonderful staff in maintenance and front desk.
For starters, it's 5 mins from home, surrounded by coffee shops for the caffeine boost if needed and 24/7 access to stress relief whenever endorphins are appropriately...

Actually very much like that the gym is divided into 3 parts instead of just open space. I find because of that, people of different motivation levels find themselves at sections more comfortable for them. The only downside is there is no reception in the Ab/stretch section, kinda important for me because I can get urgent calls from my clients. Otherwise, very much like this location.
24 hour gym. Super convenient and TONS OF SPACE! has everything you need to get ripped and stay ripped for the beach! Plenty of Machines and free weights everywhere. My favorite location!
Who the f designed this gym?? I've been to MANY gyms, and can easily say that this has to be the most disorganized. First of all, theres several different rooms/ nooks/ crannies, which isn't really their fault I guess. But theres NO logic to the way that things are organized!! The free weights are in different rooms on different parts of the gym! For instance, there's an upstair section that... more
I prefer this location to most others since they still have the Extreme Fitness benefits that most Goodlife locations lack. There are FOUR squat racks on the newest level and plenty of natural light. The location at Yonge and Sheppard only has two racks, so it's hit or miss trying to get one if you go anywhere near peak times.
Machines and equipment seem to be well maintained but the bathrooms...

Huge gym with tons of equipment however it does take some walking just to get to the change rooms which includes navigating through a labyrinth of hallways and stairs, extra painful after leg day.
The dumb bell area is quite dark as well but my friends who are hardcore gym rats like it since there's less distractions in terms of TVs and such.
There is also free parking on the weekend and I...

This location used to be an Extreme Fitness location, so is bigger than most typical crammed Goodlife gyms.
Positives
Very large and spacious gym facility. Wide range of free weights and machines. Endless cardio equipment. Legs area upstairs is also very spacious with lots of equipment (3 squat racks!). Even during peak hours it's generally possible to get a proper workout done. Plus it has a...

This is the worse gym I have ever joined! When I joined, they did a fitness evaluation on me. The fitness "expert" used calipers on my biceps to test my fat content, and said that I was overweight (fyi, I am 169 cm, and weight 125 lbs). I know for a fact that the caliper test is not very accurate if you only test one site, and most people look at me and think that I am borderline anorexic. ... more
I was a member here for 3 months. I was in college at the time in the States and came back to Toronto for the summer. I figured I'd get into shape and needed a gym to sign up. After taking a look at a couple of places, I decided that Extreme Fitness would be the best fit for me. Jason L. You have obviously never signed up for a gym if you really think that they would not continue to charge your... more
Do not go here. Do not be enticed by the multiple of flyers that get dropped into your mailbox as they are nothing more than a scam to get your money. Now here are the reasons why. I had moved into the area and joined the gym since it was so close (I was living at 100 Upper Madison at the time.) Let's start with the scam at the beginning. When you start this gym you get a "free personal... more
I switched over to this gym after several bad experiences at GoodLife fitness clubs. I was impressed by the facilities, and also by the fact that this gym seems to cater more to adults rather than families/ kids. I was really appalled by the terribly run-down interior of GoodLife( just down the street), so maybe that's why this Extreme Fitness location seemed so appealing.Overall this place... more
the worst gym staff in the history of gym staff. Unhappy, generally unhelpful and negligent. Parking is a bit of a hassle in the mornings as well as evenings. I understand how this business works, but in general believe that people should be treated as human beings, this is not a quality people who work here follow. I did hear that both goodlife's in the area (yonge and sheppard and finch) are... more
