Whole Hotel without air condition, refrigerator, old TV sets, few TV channels, Bar on ground floor, life band and drunkers dancing and shouting on the street at night. You need a map to reach the pay parking lot. Terrible.
Had an excellent stay. Room was spacious and modern. Parking was acessible and not expensive.
My girlfriend and I stayed here and we were accommodated by Joshua at the front desk who allowed us to check in at 11am when we arrived from the Victoria Clipper coming from Seattle.
This hotel is adjacent to everything in downtown Victoria which made the value that much better. Our room had an incredible view of the harbor as well as the beautiful sunsets over Victoria. The value of this hotel...

Rooms were large and clean, the staff was exceptional and the hotel is in a great location.
Great hotel - excellent location, room was far better than expected and the staff were extremely helpful
More than anything, I greatly appreciated the proximity of this hotel to Victoria's downtown sites. Room was large, with a kitchenette (for reheating my leftovers) and a separate living room.
I had actually hesitated to book the Executive House Hotel because the price on Expedia was so low, but I was glad I did! The hotel is in a great location, just a few blocks from the waterfront, and our room had a great view. The room was large and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and wi-fi was free. The charge for parking was significantly less than other hotels. We came back to... more
I was so impressed by the convenience of the hotels location and how friendly the staff was. We had a room facing the Inner Harbour and it was absolutely beautiful. Internet access was free (though unsecure) and they have 4 restaurants onsite for food pretty much whenever you like. If you interested in taking the public transportation, the hotel is near multiple stops and routes. I'm already... more
The staff are helpful and friendly and the location is great, only a block from Empress Hotel. I have been there several times and like to do the suite which has one bedroom, small full kitchen and a fold out bed in living room. Rooms have balconies so you can open doors for fresh air. Just be aware that there is no air conditioning but it is rarely hot in Victoria and we have never had a... more
When we checked in there seemed to be a problem with the booking which was sorted out quickly and as a result we were offered a 2 room suite. Breakfast was extra, about £10 for full breakfast, but worth it. Staff very polite and friendly. Rooms were clean and quite elegant. Hotel was booked through Expedia at £88/night.
We spent two nights in this hotel as part of a mini tour of Canada. We were allocated room 1105, which was large with comfortable beds and there was a large walk-in cupboard with clothes hanging space, large worktop and large mirror, so there was plenty of storage space, especially as there was also a separate wardrobe. The room was... more
in the center of everything which meant we could walk to all the interesting spots easily. room was very clean and modern. free wi-fi was a great plus. would definitely stay here again.
We spent a couple of nights at the Executive House Hotel. It was our first stop on a 2 week tour...so to pull back the curtains open the sliding doors and step out onto the verandah and be dazzled by a stunning view of Victoria was fabulous. The rooms are clean well equipped and I can't think of anything that detracts... more
Had a great three night stay there. Driving across Canada from Toronto with my dog (long story). Some hotels we've been to have been pet friendly, but they've put us in the worst rooms. The Executive House was great. Everyone was always friendly at the hotel -- except for the check-in Australian guy (sorry, dude). Got a big suite for... more
We stayed here for three nights and it was great. The rooms were not pricey we paid about 68 dollars per night. Which is a great deal for victoria. The location is excellent, the hotel is located right downtown, just a block from the Empress and maybe two from parliament. Whenever I go back to Victoria I will stay at... more
This was our fourth stay at the Executive and it was just as pleasant as in the past. The front desk staff was helpful in booking us shuttles, dinner reservations, passing on advice etc. Our friends were impressed with it as well. Very clean, but most importantly, the hotel is within walking distance to just about everything - the harbor,... more
We used to live in Victoria and had family stay in a larger suite in this hotel a couple of years ago. The suites are sizeable and not bad for the affordable rate. We decided to give a standard room a try for our Christmas holiday. We booked a "king/queen room" and upon check in were given a room the... more
Stayed here for 3 nights in a suite on the 3rd floor. Hotel is dated, but is in a great location near the Empress and is a good value. Rooms are clean. Hotel offers wireless internet in the room. There are 3 restaurants here. Ate at Bartholamew's twice - atmosphere was a little rough. Food was ok. Front desk staff... more
it was ok, but need a bit a renewal, very hot on sunny day when facing south
We had amazing time in this hotel. Room was large, nice, quiet and clean. Beautiful view! Very pleasant and professional stuff. Location is excellent. Restaurant had great food. If we ever come to Victoria again, we will definitely stay here.
Stayed 1 night on a business trip. The location was terrific being minutes away from all parts of downtown Victoria and the service was friendly (but not comparable to a Hyatt or Hilton, about a step down). The room was a 1 bedroom suite which was nicely furnished and very comfortable - I didn't use much of the facilities as... more
We stayed one night at The Executive Hotel. It was in a good location, across from the convention center and near many restaurants and the downtown area. The room we stayed in was a surprise. It was very attractive and comfortable. It appeared to have been recently redecorated. The hotel staff was courteous and professional. We were delighted to stay... more
Did a little girls getaway to Victoria and we stay at the hotel on the 7th floor. Location: Right in the heart of downtown, close to pacific coach line bus depot, and right behind Fairmont hotel. Could not ask for a better location!! View: We loved our view!! We had a corner suite and we could see a bit of... more
We were at this hotel for the long weekend and stayed 3 nights. I would recommend this hotel but will point out to my fellow travellers a few things. There is a $4 per night parking charge and 4 seperate parking locations (3 for guests1 for staff). Through experience, we discovered that if all parking is full on Friday or... more
The hotel is situated near to the habour in Victoria and unfortunately the City Bus Depot. It is also located on the main road hence if you have a room at the front of the hotel, which we did, it is noisey all day and night! with traffic noise. The room was a good size and well equiped. The staff... more
We have 3 adults and stayed in a one bedroom suite including a kitchen. There is a queen size bed in the room and sofa bed in the living room. This hotel is located near by the inner harbor. We can walk to the harbor in the morning before my dad wakes up and at night after a dinner. Parking... more
Was staing in Victoria for 2 nights as part of my honeymoon so it was obviously quite a special trip. Victoria is a beautiful city and the hotel staff were absolutely fantastic. As soon as they discovered we were a honeymoon couple (sent through on the reservation by Trailfinders) they upgraded us to a penthouse jacuzzi room with a balcony... more
Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting for a whale watching trip. We stayed in a standard room on the 11th floor, with a great view of the Olympic Mountains over in Washington state. The room also had basic kitchen facilities and a reasonable size en-suite bathroom. The rooms were a bit bland and tired looking and did not have... more
stayed 5 days huge bedroom massive bed, furniture was a little old fashioned.. very friendly would stay again.
As the title says I wasn't expecting much from this hotel - but I was very pleasantly surprised. The location is fabulous - it's less than 2 minutes walk from the lovely harbour in Victoria. We had the penthouse room with a balcony overlooking the harbour - fantastic. The room had a jacuzzi which I enjoyed, a lot! Caffe D'Amore... more
I book a two queen beds room and I found the whole hotel has no air condition, the room has no refrigerator, and the type of TV you can only find in those recycle depot; with just a few channels you can watch; if you wish to pay, you can has many selections of adult movies. Not to mention a... more
well let me start by saying Victoria is a pretty little place. If you're travelling for a romantic place, squeeze in a couple of nights, take a bottle and enjoy the view from one of the many vantage points. If travelling with friends, half a day is enough and you should head off to the hills and the rest of... more
We booked this hotel for two nights in July. On the first night we were allocated a small, dreary room with twin beds. It was a bit dated, but adequate and clean. All was well until around midnight, by which time we'd all fallen asleep. I was then woken, shortly followed by my husband, by the room seeming to vibrate,... more
There were three of us sharing a room at the Executive House Hotel. The room was very disappointing. The bedroom had two small single beds, and the third person had to sleep on a make-up sofa bed, and the bed wasn't even made. The room was dark, and the colour scheme was dark green. There were not enough towels in the... more
Prime location in relation to the Victoria Convention Center and the Inner Harbor activities. My family and I stayed in a suite room for 8 days while I was in town for business. The service was outstanding -- both housekeeping and the front desk were great helping my wife and two small children while I was working. Most everything one... more
Have stayed here several times because of the extremely convenient location for downtown. The staff are always helpful and it is clean. The rooms are comfortable but I would advise not booking one with a sofa bed as these only have thin mattresses. The beds are comfortable, though, and the bathrooms clean. Parking is only $4/day and any requests for... more
This hotel was difficult for us to find - it is obscured by construction and doesn't fully face the street. All of out previous visits to Victoria have been arrival by boat and then walking the town so the fact that we were driving may have been part of the problem. Once found, however, the parking was very easy and... more
This hotel turned out to be much better than I was expecting. We booked through the Victoria Clipper package, and were originally scheduled to stay at a smaller, more quaint inn. However, due to a reservation problem(?) we were booked at the Executive House instead. The location is wonderful, although there is construction going on right across the street. I... more
When I contacted the property to book 3 rooms for my families two night stay in Victoria, they were a pleasure to deal with. The atmosphere of the hotel was pleasant and the rooms were spacious and had a lovely outlook over the park. We were very impressed with the service and the care that they took when checking us... more
hubby and i stayed here for two nights in august and thought the place was quite acceptable. victoria is a great place and this hotel is in a super location just one block from the harbour. staff are friendly and helpful and check in and out was easy and fast. yes the elevators can be a bit slow but we... more
We just got back from a wedding in Victoria, a beautiful city with many hotel options. The wedding party booked rooms at this hotel which is the only reason we stayed there. There is loud construction from 6:30 am till 6pm every day except Sunday. There is no AC so the rooms got warm in the afternoon. It would have... more
My family and I were touring BC and we stayed in victoria for a while to visit relatives and to see the city. This hotel Id mixed views about. 1. construction - this was going on around the hotel and made it very noisy. 2. Fire alarm. We had a fire evacuation during our stay, the dryer in the laundry... more
Our family of 5 rented 2 suites for 2 nights. The rooms were spacious and had good views but were a little tired looking and in need of a decor update & could benefit from airconditioning in the summer months! It was unfortunate that during our stay construction was taking place on both sides, but, it got us up and... more
We booked this hotel thru the Victoria Clipper package. It was old, tired and expensive. The spa was green and foamy. We stayed at The Grand Pacific the next night for $20 more and had a beautiful room with a view of the Inner Harbor. I would not recommend the Executive House Hotel to anyone. Not a great value. It... more
I stayed two weeks at this hotel, two weeks I will never forget, becuuse of the construction on both sides of the hotel, and the constant noise of banging and drilling, starting at 7am everyday, it was the same inside the hotel, banging and drilling, this started at 8am, at times I thought they were trying to drill through the... more
Stayed a week at the Executive house hotel during my business trip at Victoria. Location is what is important and this is the most central hotel (apart from the pricey Fairmont Empress)! The hotel is walking distance from the bus/coach station so it is convenient if you don't drive. It is the tallest building in city centre so you do... more
We stayed at the Executive House Hotel for a week from the 11th May 2008, and would highly recommend it. Okay there is a lot of building work being done as new hotels are being built and new windows were being installed at our hotel, but it did not bother us, the hotel was very busy with bus loads of... more
We stayed at the Executive House for two nights in early May and I am surprised at some of the bad reviews as our experience was very positive. We paid £160 for two nights but I wonder if we were given an upgrade as we certainly did not have a standard room. We had a hallway, bedroom, bathroom, separate sitting... more
Looking for a place to stay the night we drove to 3 other hotels in Victoria. Two things we had in mind, good price, good location so we can walk everywhere and parking. We found it at the Executive Hotel, We asked the price, since they had no dbl room the blond lady manager offered us suite at the same... more
My wife and myself have stayed at the Executive House 11 times in the last 10 months , and the service has gotten worse each time . This last trip was the final straw . The evening weekend cleaning lady is one of the rudest people I have ever meet ! The weekend manager does not know the meaning of... more
I have stayed at the Exective House several times over the years, most recently this February. Most rooms are very average, however, in the off season most people can afford a penthouse room which is what I do. It is about $300 (+ the usual taxes) and being one of the tallest hotels the view is one of the best... more
I was very surprised to see some of the reviews on this hotel. We stayed their with our son about ten years ago and the room we had although a bit tired looking was fine. We had spectacular views from our room . It was originally recommended to us by friends and we have recommended it ourselves. We have since... more
We took the short drive from Nanaimo to Victoria via Duncan the city of the totams which was a lovely drive and arrived at the hotel. We were upgaded as we were honeymooners and given a suite which was amazing. We had a separate bedroom and lounge/dinner and a little galley kitchen. The view was fantastic over the parliment buildings... more
We stayed here for 3 nights and found the location excellent for the coach station and getting out and about. The hotel itself was a bit tired and dated and not the best we stayed in. Our room was ok but our friends were upgraded and had a slightly bigger room with a kitchen which was handy but it was... more
We checked into room 304 and upon entering we were surprised at how dirty it was, carpets, chairs, etc. I phoned the front desk and asked if there were better rooms avail. and I was told they were all the same. I asked to be refunded and was told they have some special rooms, so we took a look at another... more
Well, the first room we were given here had real bed bugs behind the headboard. A second room was bug free. The location is wonderful - right in the middle of downtown Victoria, but it is surrounded by construction on three sides. One notable day, construction noise didn't cease until well after 10 pm, and started again before 7 am.... more
Despite the neglected external appearance of the hotel, the interiors were very cosy and well-kept. The room was spacious, very clean, pleasantly furnished and equipped with cable TV, coffe machine, electric kettle and iron+ironing board. The lighting was cosy as well and the king size bed very comfortable. Moreover an entire side of the room had a huge window facing... more
We stayed at this hotel from August 7th -10th. As previously stated, it’s situated with building construction on all sides, so if noise bothers you, this would be a problem. The accommodation is pretty standard. Clean, but uninspired decoration. King size bed was very comfy. My sister had a suite with full kitchen that was reasonably well equipped. Helpful staff.... more
We stayed at this hotel for two nights at the beginning of our two week self drive holiday around Canada. We found it easily enough, but were dismayed to find building works on both sides of the hotel. They were carrying out blasting on one of the sites when we arrived and noise from both sites started (as others have... more

The Hotel was comfortable and cozy, it made a wonderful home away from home while in Victoria. It's central to everything including public transit to pretty much everywhere including Butchart Gardens. The staff was very kind and made the stay quite enjoyable. I would definitely return.
