After a delightful visit to the Halton County Radial Railway on the 4th of July, we were feeling that we needed something to eat, but not a heavy meal. Driving down the main street, we were looking for a restaurant that was NOT fast food. We spotted this dear looking place and decided to give it a try.

Very nice board & batten store front. Nice decor inside. Service was quick. Staff were fine but a little edgy (perhaps because they were busy). The quiche lunch was fine. The waldorf salad that came with it had a heavy cream dressing. My latte was warm rather than hot and tasted weak, not a lot of richness. There's one bathroom... more
I have lived outside of Rockwood for 2 years and have been going to Rockwood to run several times a week. Sometimes, after a run, I am famished and need a bite to eat. I only discovered the Eramosa River Cafe just recently when I needed satisfy the post running stomach grumbling and I needed a quick lunch to go.... more
A hidden gem that is for sure. Whatever Leo makes it is spectacular. I always have the soup, change between wraps, sandwiches and the pasta specials, the brocolli salad is a show stopper. Great pricing, nice atmosphere, great service, great food, spread the word Rockwood...... Nick D in Rockwood
The homemade soup is delicious and nutritious, I especially love the curried egg wrap and the broccoli salad.
My husband always orders the delicious chili. It comes with home made bread.
And yes, the homemade butter tarts are so good!
Yum!
Leo always has fresh muffins ready and coffee on the go. We are regular visitors here and enjoy coffee or tea with his fresh baking with friends. Certainly more healthy than Tim Horton's. Nothing is better than "home made".
Have stopped in twice for lunch on the way through this little town. The cafe is opposite a beautiful little and very scenic park on the Eramosa river. Soups, sandwiches and pasta dishes all very delightful, together with excellent coffees and hot cider and melt-in-the mouth lemon and berry squares.
The other day we stopped in for lunch, this quaint little nook on Main Street, has a variety on its menu. We had Cauliflower soup with warm buttered bread. All 3 of us loved the soup. We've had spaghetti, curried rice and pizza but the bread is so so fresh, whether it is toasted or plain.
It's all in the title. Very happy with this hidden Jem. Wish they were open longer and on Mondays but I guess everyone needs a day off
