Tried a short americano--delicious. The bean was fairly bright like many of the third wave roasts but carried a depth in its aftertaste. Really, really enjoyed it! Also served by some friendly staff.
Plume offers a very comfortable and "chill" vibe. Their lattes are wonderful and their music selection is incredible!
The food and drinks are high quality. Just the stuff that is not that friendly. They try to send you home once you stay here for a long time and without buying.
The iced coffee here is a must in the summer. I often stop at Cafe Plume when Im biking in the area during the summer and need a refreshing drink. The terrace makes it extra-enjoyable. Not to mention the friendly owner who is not shy to strike up a conversation :)
Third wave coffee in Montreal, excellent. Nice relaxed atmosphere, stellar espresso drinks, it's a great boon for the neighborhood for sure..
Cafe Plume has great music and decent fare, and they always have great artwork and cool magazines displayed at the back. I'm not crazy about working there on my laptop as it is always CRAMMED during the week, and on the weekend you can only work on your laptop on the little ledge at the window.
It's a nice place...

I come to this cafe quite often, as it is right around the corner from where I live. The atmosphere is great, the Verve coffee is really great. The baristas and owner are always slightly impatient and rushed. I really like to go to a coffee and sit with a friend and chat, but the music, EVERY single time I have gone there is too loud. It is hard to chat with friends, hang out, or even work when... plus
Well pulled espresso shot for my cortado, but I was put off by the somewhat curt nature of an otherwise excellent barista. I had never noticed the tiny cafe until today, when I got a whiff of their coffee from outside. I was asked what I wanted and I said I was unsure of what they offered (I saw no menu). The guy told me they "make coffee" impatiently. Other than that, I enjoyed the atmosphere... plus
This place has signs reminiscient of a an airport security checkpoint posted all over the place, 'forbidding' laptops at tables. They will also rudely tell you to leave if your rate of consumption isn't sufficient for them. That might work in Toronto or wherever the owners of this place are from, but it doesn't work here in Montreal. As for... plus
If you're near strolling along Mont Royal near St Urbaine - be sure to stop for a hot/iced coffee from this place. It's exactly the type of place you'd want to get your neighbourhood coffee from. They even take the extra time to make your hot espresso drink have the fancy artwork on top. It just means that they put... plus
I’m a writer and like to linger in coffee shops with my laptop, taking in the aroma of espresso while trying to find my inspiration. When I found Café Plume, I thought I had found a gem – great food and ambiance. Unfortunately I was tactlessly told today that if I wanted to linger, I would need to do that... plus
Café Plume is another of the new crop of places which have bloomed in Montréal in the last 18 months or so. It was recommended to me by Marie-Ève of the Pikolo Espresso Bar and is best described as a neighbour café. Located on the eastern edge of the plateau area of Montréal, opposite Parc Jeanne-Mance, it’s a laid-back, relaxed... plus
On a rainy day, I went into La Plume : very nice coffees, Kusmi teas, comfy seats and great music (which is very important I think). I started with a Cortadito, really tasty. So enjoyable to seat there, with your coffee, your book... And moreover, on Mont Royal Street, near the park ! Excellent !
perfect place to stop in for coffee after a run up Mt-Royal. Friendly staff, delicious coffee, and great sandwiches. Finally, good coffee in the neighbourhood!
I'm posting this from the cafe now (which has since shortened its name to the more comprehensible Cafe Plume).
IMO their Verve coffee really is the best in Montreal. It's the Santa Cruz, and comes in variety of tastes. Other "progessive" coffees are too uniformly acidic and lemony, imo. Verve is just right, and as far as I know, no...

Damn picky about our coffee and le cafe et la plume hit the spot. Great coffee and cute vibe. We have gone many times and will return!
Nice cozy place. Great coffee, high quality.
Great place to drink a coffee in a mug and eat a fresh sandwich after walking through Mont Royal. The background music is also very good.
For me, Entre Le Café et la Plume has the element that I appreciate most in a cafe, well executed balanced shots from... plus
Beau petit café ! *assez populaire ici, y'a presque jamais de place pour s’asseoir.

Discovered this outstanding cafe just recently but have been going since. My love for this place:
I work close to Entre Le Cafe Et La Plume and I often stop here for a sandwich and a cup of coffee. I absolutely love the ambiance and the music they play, and the coffee is really good too, no doubts about that. Highly recommended!
well pulled. not to my taste, though. might be because had a shot within a few hours of quite enjoying one at the knife? anyway, very passable..
Excellent coffee spot. Owners are very genrous information for coffee passionate.gotta love this place.
In a world where you can barely turn a corner without running into a chain coffee place, it's nice to see an independent, unique place where the coffee is as warm and welcoming as the people who run it! Not only is the coffee great, but they make an assortment of healthy, delicious sandwiches and salads. Oh, but there's more!!... plus
We stumbled upon this cafe after a long, hot walk through Mont Royal park and it was the best thing that could have happened to us. The cafe was mercifully air conditioned and decorated to make you feel welcome. The girl who greeted us from behind the counter was so nice and friendly and that set the tone for the... plus
