I had a quiet and nice stay, I didn't really spend too much time in the hotel but it was ok. What I like the most about the hotel is that it is located near two main roads and it was very easy for me to get to places I had from there.
We recently traveled to Edmonton for a wedding. The Edmonton Travelodge south was the best priced hotel in the area, which is why we chose it. The hotel is old, but very well maintained and very clean. We had no issues with the service, which was both friendly and prompt. The hotel has basic amenities, and is certainly worth the price. It's also centrally located, about 20k north of the... more
This is an older style hotel. It was very clean but could use some updating. The beds were on the small size because the rooms are fairly small. It was comfortable and I would stay here again. I will give 5 stars to the parking lot. Never had an issue finding space. The pool is a decent size with a hot tub.
I frequently go to Edmonton, and I was staying at different hotels to see which I prefered. Once I stayed at the Travelodge, I will continue to stay there. The price is reasonable. The service from the staff was great. Plus, they have a free continental breakfast, which is difficult to find elsewhere. I will continue to stay there when I make my trips to Edmonton.
I missed a fridge in the room.
Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Free continental breakfast was good. Stayed one night on smoker floor and floor smelled stale. I am a none smoker. Over all I enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Note, easy access to shopping and great restaurants. Ample parking also.
This is the most disgusting hotel I have been in ever!!! I think that should sum it up!!
Totally dissapointed.. horrible room condition
Hotel was fine and what we expected. Problem was the noisy teenagers staying the same first night who were totally inconsiderate of other hotel guests. The next night was due to other loud guests returning late. In all we got 3 decent nights sleep out of 4. Staff were friendly and apologetic, other facilities fine.
The reservation was a bit of a computer glitch. [...] had to break my 8 day stay into 2 reservations to make it work for some computer reason. The room was ok. Standard, on the small side, but it had all I needed without any frills. The wifi was a little slow. The continental breakfast was adequate, but barely. I had no issues with noise. The location suited my stay, as I was attending... more
Got a 'great deal' on their best room for 4 nights online - had to prepay whole amount, no refunds. No wonder... Bed was like a concrete slab, all pillows were as hard as bags of wet cement, sofabed was thin & lumpy. Main point of a hotel room is to sleep - no one in our family of 3... more
I stayed at this hotel with my school while we were in Edmonton at a conference. The pool was nice, and fit 32 fourteen-year-olds well enough, though it was a bit smaller than expected. This is an older hotel, but it was well kept, and rooms were nice and clean even though they were a tad cramped with superfluous luggage... more
Small, not very clean, electrical receptical in bathroom out of order and, hence, the hair dryer didn't work. The walls are so thin you could hear the neighbour in the next room sigh in his sleep and another blowing his nose!
I have noticed more people would write a bad review or complaint for certain things over good ones. This hotel definitely deserves a good review. I stayed at this hotel based on a night out close-by. This hotel is an old building for sure but it is well maintained. I am a pretty fussy customer on anything I spend on... more
We were there for 8 days due to family illness and death. We were treated very well. The rooms were clean all the staff from desk to maintenance were good.I would recommend to anyone!!!!!
I would stay here again. Oh there are better places surely. This hotel is older and could use some cosmetic changes. However the price is right and it was very clean. The motel was close enough to major travel routes without being noisy. The staff person who ran the breakfast room was a delight.
The room we stayed in the paint was pealing from the walls and there was red and black junk all over the base of the lamp. The floor looked as though something had been spilled and noone bothered to clean it up. The shelf in the bathroom was hardly on the wall and the towel rack looked as though it had recently been moved, but they never bothered to mudd over the old holes.
I was suppose to stay at this hotel for 3 nights....but after the first night spent the...We HAD to go somewhere else. The sawridge just seconds away were charging way less for a much better Hotel. The travelodge rooms were small, smelly, and dirty. People were partying all night long. The pool is freezing, even though it suppose to be... more
I was hesitated to book this hotel when i read a few review about it. However, I decided to give it a try. I was so impressed with the location, the room and the cleanliness of the hotel. A 5 min walk would get me to the famous Canadian Superstore, while across the street, I could dine at famous Boston... more
I stayed at the Edmonton South Travelodge from May 28th til the 30th, I was quite please, rooms were clean, nice average sized, Staff was pleasant and helpful. Pool was well maintained. reasonably priced.... The only thing i would change, is have more brochures for things to do while in Edmonton, and the Staff Brushed up on Festivals etc going... more
Booked hotel stay at this hotel b/c of the offer of 2 West Edmonton mall Waterpark passes with hotel stay. This advertisment was seen on the "Stay Alberta" website. At check-in time, I was told after 30 minutes of having me wait at the Registration counter, that they would not give me the Waterpark passes as their advertisment stated. The... more
My husband and I have been to hotels around the world and this was far worse even than the old dive we stayed in Athens!! Right from when we arrived the hotel was horrible. My husband had our reservation sheet printed off and handed it to them. For some reason they had entered that we were staying there for 26... more
Hotel is a little dated, but mkaes up for it in service. Room comfortable and clean. If you are looking for a room jsut to sleep in and have a great breakfast it is a good place to stay.
The hotel was a bit dated, however the staff where very good. Rooms need a little work, but it was the right price for these times. The free breakfast was a nice touch too.
Dont beleive everything you read. We drove 13 hours from Winnipeg, and we were pretty impressed. The rooms were clean, the continental breakfast was great, and the hotel was quiet. All we did was basically sleep there, but what more do you want. Its not a five star hotel, but it was very good. I would stay here again.
DON'T STAY THERE, unless you love dirty rooms, drug users, prostitues, bad services, etc, etc... This was the scariest experience in hotel rooms in my life, i have been all over the world, and this one was the worst. Don't leave anything you care for unatended because it will disappear in a minute. PLEASE spend a few dollar more and... more
Please see my recent review of the Edmonton West Travelodge. That place was a real dive, so when I was booked into this property by my corporate lodging department, I feared the worst. Thankfully this property is superior to the west end property, but not by much. First big difference, this location offers a free breakfast, while the west property... more
Booked one night stay through hotwire. Got a great price and figured how bad can it be? Well, the room was ok, clean, just really small with alot of wear and tear. Needs some work. The hallways are so dirty and worn, I was amazed. My mother commented that it looked like the same rug that was there years ago... more
What can I say - the halls had a bit of a stale "Travel Lodge" smell, but the room was clean, functional and the house keeping staff was nice. We stayed overnight after the Edmonton Indy and I would stay there again if I wanted a place to stay without spending much money.
We needed to stay somewhere that pets were allowed as we had two small dogs. The room was VERY small, akin to a cruise ship but was clean. The continental breakfast was adequate and there was someone there to ensure that the containers were filled etc. Prefer other hotels in Edmonton but would stay there again if we couldn't book... more
Upon entering the room, we found dried orange peel on the cup tray, a coffee bean on a bedspread, liquid stains on the wall, and hair in the tub. The sheets appeared clean, but the blankets on the bed appeared soiled and should really have been taken out of circulation. The breakfast was very simple lacking any luster. I wish... more
Do not stay here. The walls were gross and hadn't been washed in years. The toilet was dirty, it was dusty, the phone in the room didn't even ring when people tried to call in. It looked like it had been dropped and stomped on. All the pop machines didn't work and they had a bottle of water in the room warm (no fridges) for $2.99 if you drank it. This place looked like it was rented by the... more
Once again I am on the road for business. This Travelodge Hotel has proven to be good value. It is clean, well cared for and the staff are helpful. The location in the south of the city makes it easy to get to and from the airport and all major highways. In the morning there is a basic continental breakfast... more
For the amount of money that I was charged for my room I would have hoped that it would have at least been clean. I was there for a 5 night stay and while I was there, I purchased my own cleaning supplies and cleaned the bathroom myself. The bathtub was small and black. I do believe the original colour... more
OH MY GOSH! WERE DO I BEGIN!!! We checked in to our room only to find out for 5 of us we got put in a small cramped room, it was soooooo hot even after 2 hours of having a c@!%!y rundown air-conditioner going. The pool was small and dirty in appearance. Felt unsafe as there were alot of scummy... more
Even though we received a discount from Hotwire for this hotel, had I known the condition of this hotel, you would not be able to pay me to stay here! The furniture in the room had tears in it with the stuffing falling out of it. There was a large splash of liquid that had dried, all over the wall... more
We stayed here as part of a group that came in for a large birthday party. My wife and 6 month old baby had one room. The room had stains on the couch and walls. The air conditioner unit had a lot of light around the edges, it looked like if you touched it, it would fall out. The bathroom... more
My boyfriend and I were making the trip back to Calgary after attending a funeral in Slave Lake, Alberta. We were tired and decided to make a stop in Edmonton for the night. We ended up at the Travelodge on Calgary Trail. They told us that it would be $110.00 for a room...so we accepted and hauled our luggage up... more
We stayed for one night on the 14th Aug 06. This hotel is ideal for anyone wanting to visit the West Edmonton Mall. It was cheap (around $100 CAD, including breakfast), the check in staff were really helpful and it's only about 15 mins from the mall. The room was as expected from a major chain; comfy beds, tv, clean... more
We got this hotel from Priceline at a reasonable price. However, when we called in to confirm that we will have two beds in our room, the staff just said no. She had no consideration to the fact that we travelled with two young kids and insisted that she could not do anything about Priceline deal. In fact, the hotel... more
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a girl's weekend. The room was clean and the staff was pleasant. The pool is small and your basic hotel pool, nothing fancy. There is no continental breakfast which would have been nice. We would stay here again, but if you are looking for a hotel with frills, this is not it.
All rooms feature cable TV, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, complimentary coffee and tea, writing desks, free WiFi Internet access, dataports, and voicemail.
