And stay for the chicken tacos! Delish!
However, as chic as the menu is, they lose a star for the ostriches protruding from the walls. Not a good visual when you're drinking.
Terrible service, mediocre food and truly awful decor (severed ostrich heads? Really?). Oh, and as a bonus it's also overpriced.
Best Earl's I've ever been to. The decor is historic, and the service and food were great. We arrived as a party of 7 without reservations and they quickly made arrangements to get us seated right away. I definitely recommend checking this place out.
What a wonderful place to have a small meal, large meal, or gather with friends for a cool drink. You have to sit on the deck, under the grape vines, especially at this time of the year.
Stopped for sipper just before heading out to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan. Very friendly service, but a rather prolonged wait to be seated, even though the only part of the facility that was busy was the patio. Very good food, 6 different meals ordered, all very good and well presented. Prices a bit high for the quantity of food but... more
Poorer quality and quantity than previously. More expensive and lots of veggie filler.
E.g. Thai shrimp appetizer was six breaded shrimp in a bowl of lettuce/kale. Ok but $13? Calamari was approx 1/3 prev amount centered in a long rectangular plate. Previously it filled a round dinner plate.
My wife & daughter & I chose Earl's for lunch this summer since we were in the area & I had not been here for many years. The service & food were superb of course. We chose to sit outside on the patio while the weather was so nice. We enjoyed the spicy bean soup, which was very tasty! My... more
We don't go here often but it is always good when you go. The burgers are a knock out, the pasta is great, and the sushi is always nice and fresh. The pizza is made in there wood burning pizza oven. It is always fresh and delicious. Good variety but not a huge menu so all the food is tasty.... more
I haven't been at Earl's in S'toon for about 17 years. It's much fancier inside and they have a brew pub that makes a good lager.
Steaks and sides were very good, but they mixed up the order and my guest had to have his redone. Forgot one side as well.
The waitress was very apologetic and nice though.

The server we had recommended fantastic appies-- a nice twist on old classics.
Try the roasted artichoke spinach dip or the calamari--you will not be disappointed.
We went back again we enjoyed it so much !
Drinks are pricey especially cocktails but you are not rushed; the service is attentive & knowledgeable and the atmosphere is modern & inviting
The food is great and the decor is inviting and modern. Got great service in the lounge. The drinks are a little pricey but worth it. The food is innovative. I ordered the rocket salad, it was tasty and filling. I will visit this restaurant again in the future.
I attended a coworkers leaving party here. The server was excellent and get the drinks flowing all evening. For my meal I had the Cajun Blackened Chicken, with Coleslaw and Warm Potato salad. It was excellent ,it had just the right amount of kick to it. I would certainly eat here again.
great place to eat, good quick service. The chilli chicken wontons are amazing, the steaks are done exactly as you order them.
Earl's used to be our 'go to' place when we wanted a casual meal & a glass of wine during the week. The service is great and they have a decent wine list. But over the last couple of years or so the food has gone downhill lacking in freshness and originality. The salads are limp, over dressed and bland.... more
If you like loud, trendy and mediocre, this is the place for you. The brew pub makes decent brew, but not the best in town by any stretch. Food is palatable, but the restaurant is really loud. Enough said.
I've never been disappointed, they have the best Blackened Chicken in the city... Drinks are a little pricy.
Good food, good service, and a great menu! Must go when you want a nice evening out! The portions are excellent - not too much, and presented very nicely!
Earl's is a savvy chain. They change their menu often enough to keep it interesting for regulars, have seasonal specials, and the quality control is excellent. Most new ones have a cookie-cutter, albeit pleasant, design. Saskatoon's is different, housed in what used to be a bakery. It's big, has perhaps the city's best outdoor deck, and has three distinct areas.... more
Friendly atmosphere and service. The food is excellent as well although for some reason they tend to discontinue their most popular items - they no longer have their absolutely delicious salsa or their dumplings. For many years now we have visited Earl's restaurants in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg and Saskatoon and often ordered the dumplings as an appetizer or as a... more
Visited Earl's in Saskatoon twice last week. Their food is always good and consistent throughout the entire chain. Food is always excellent quality and presentation. Loved the Los Cabos Taco's we had for lunch !! The portions appear to be small on the plate, but they are the perfect size to be filling, and always so tasty.
Always great food with good service. A very nice varied menu so easy to find something for everyone.
Great food, nice vibrant atmosphere. Excellent service. It is a pleasure to enjoy a restaurant that not only pleases the palate and has the big home kitchen feel. Love my experience every time I go.
Have never had a bad meal there! The service is excellent, staff are very friendly and the diversity of meals tempting to any palate. Whenever I'm asked where to go to dinner, my first thought is Earl's!!
Parking is a nightmare. -65 and have to walk 3 blocks because there is no where to park. Not happy . Drinks were slow to come out along with the food. Food was average but could have used more on the plate for the price. Was very loud and hard to have a conversation
Earl's is a great restaraunt. The servers are trained to know what each menu item is so if you ask about something on the menu, they actually know. They know what ingredients are in the item and how it is prepared. The food is fantastic andis well presented.
If you have time stop in the back at the "on tap"...

Good food, nice atmosphere. Can be very loud at mealtimes. Portions are average. Great place to go with a group for a birthday or other celebration. Not for intimate dining.
We like several of the menu options at Earls, and go there every few months. However if you are having wine with your meal it is way too expensive here. We'd rather go to Original Joes on Tuesday night for 1/2 price wine and enjoy a good meal!
I enjoy earls and go fairly frequently. The food is usually quite good and the service to match. However there is nothing outstanding about the place. But all in all I enjoy the experience and is a great place to go out for a bite with friends. I will be back.
My husband and I come here occasionally and haven't seen a change in menu in the last 5 years. Same boring appetizers and mains but yet it remains a busy place. Weird.
This used to be a great place for lunch, but service is way off. Better value elsewhere for portions received.
Meals are not consistent from one visit to another.
If you have limited time for lunch, pick a different place
My friend & I stepped in for a light lunch. The lunch was great, service
was great but very expensive.
Always good, always busy, but worth the wait. The food is excellent, service is very competent, a good place for a celebration.
Earl's is always usually so consistent with their food and service, that it's usually a no brainer. Just to get our drink order in was painful, and we were there for over an hour before any appies came. The worst part was my meal came out luke warm. Will not be going back to this location.
With such a great location and nice building, the meal and service we got here yesterday was such a letdown. We were probably the first patrons of the day (we were meeting a friend that worked near by on his lunch hour), and we were virtually ignored for the first few minutes. Our waitress couldn't stay on her heels (we... more
Their Hunan Kung Pao with 6 pepper (for spice lovers like me)and Cajun blackened chicken are the best we have found!
As this restaurant is relatively easy for my elderly father and his lady friend to access, my sisters suggested we go to Earl's; as this was a Tuesday evening, there would be no issue with the restaurant's policy of not taking reservations. In our home city, my spouse and I usually do not patronize Earl's because of the noise from... more
I am not a big fan of Earl's; I always find the food disappointing and the prices inflated. I joined friends from work for dinner hoping I would not be disappointed again but alas Earl's has been consistently disappointing in my experience. I thought the maple glazed salmon salad would be relatively safe but the salmon tasted fishy and was... more
Went there for a lunch meeting with group. The staff was friendly and professional, knows what she is doing. It appears they have pretty good business, it is always full and they do not take the reservations. The food services in a timely manner, food tastes good. Overall, it is a very good restaurant.
I ate in the lounge area since the restaurant was fully booked (7pm on a Thursday). I had spinach and artichoke dip which was large enough to fill me up with nothing else. However I soldiered on and ate a well prepared salmon fillet followed by a tasty pumpkin pie. The server was attentive despite being run off her feet... more
We ate here a while ago, in the spring of 2013 actually. Service was really good, food was okay but the gravy was disgusting. With this kind of quality restaurant you would think they could make gravy. Very expensive. For what we ate it was expensive. Probably will never eat there again.
The service was great the waitress was really accommodating the food was ehhhh but it is a nice restaurant
My wife like the atmosphere and food presentation. Our adult son was not as impressed. I am in the middle. All in all a good restaurant.
This restaurant has some of the best service ever. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful when it came to food and drinks. It created a relaxed environment but yet had prompt service. The food was fabulous and couldn't ask for a better dining out experience!!
I eat at Earl's on a regular basis and I have not been disappointed yet. Consistent quality of meals and good service can be expected. The menu has options for most tastes. The atmosphere is pleasant, but I would recommend the dinning room if you want a quieter meal.
One thing I would like to see is more variety of...

Best Earls. Dare I say, Saskatoon has something better than Vancouver and Toronto in the restaurant department? Great bar, great patio. Same, same, but different.
Earl's has always been my favourite restaurant to go to in any new city. So was the case in Saskatoon as well, and yet again I loved coming here. Its great for my meat lover friends and they say the Cajun Blackened Chicken is awesome!.
I am a vegetarian, and I still have delicious options, apart from regular pastas, salad...

We can rely on Earls. Good menu selection, well prepared food and presentation. The service was poor, appetizers with no napkins or cuttlery. Over worked single waitress who could not keep and kept mtrying to take our unfinished plates. The prices have risen to press 20$ for a specialty salad with chicken. A soup cup of yam fries appy is... more
Menu is very diverse. We enjoyed the salad dinner offerings. Oriental salad with cold noodles and spicy dressing was super. Earl's is also a Microbrewery. They had a great porter on tap. We ate here twice. Reasonable prices and away from Downtown Crowds. Try it.
We went out for a couples dinner and stopped in here around 5ish. The place was already quite busy and we could not be seated for about 15 minutes. The hostess suggested we sit in the lounge as we could be served right away. Staff were all very friendly and we were tended to as soon as we sat down.... more
Just had lunch with my husband for our anniversary...service was great and so was the atmosphere. Surprisingly, the parking was easy considering it was Friday in the downtown. Loved the Lamborghini Diablo Roadster parked across the street! :))
An old bakery has been converted to an Earls Restaurant which provide a great setting for this generally good eatery. We ate on the Patio but the inside has an interesting decor. Servers were very pleasant, efficient but I have trouble with skirts that are so short that they must constantly be pulled down. Perhaps black shorts might be more... more
This restaurant has gone downhill, drastically. Restrooms in a state of disrepair, service levels average at best. No water served with meal, no glass offered with bottled beer and below average customer care.
Food was good, halibut and chips (very few chips), bigger better burger, always good
Horrible service, 4 hostesses at the front., not one knew what she was doing, we almost left in the total confusion, I should have talked to the manager it was a complete gong show
Earls Saskatoon used to be WAY BETTER
I've had bad experiences several times at this restaurant. I will never go back. You always stand in a line up for the longest time before they can find a place to seat you, even when the restaurant is not that full. They waitress brought my friend's drink and I had to ask 3 times for her to bring mine... more
I live in Saskatoon and this is by far my favorite restaurant !! all there food is great and the atmosphere is also beautiful! best restaurant in saskatoon!
I love Earls. Never had a bad meal there and we always go when we go to Saskatoon.
Big menu with lots of choices and good service. The wait staff is there to serve you not be your best friend which I like. They are there to help you with your meal but are not in your face.

Meh.
So-so. Probably wouldn't go back. Service + food were not up to par.
Wow, obnoxious, snooty, moody waitress with terrible attitude. It is a privilege to have customers in your establishment and they should be treated accordingly. Earls is a poor restaurant in my opinion so spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. Visiting from out of town and found much better places.
Good food, good drinks, nice atmosphere, cozy. The lounge is a great place to relax after a long work week.
Earls is a great bar/lounge, and good quality of service. The staff is friendly which seems to attract friendly people because the cliental was also very easy going. I recommend for a night out with coworkers and friends.
Earls is always a hit. Always have good meals and a good time. Great for drink, great for food, great for both.
I love Earl's. I love the food, their approach to classics, and that the menu quality is consistent across locations.
The Saskatoon version is the most successful across Canada (maybe because cool patios with atmosphere are rare in town), and waiting for a table on the leafy and warm patio is well worth the painful wait in the lounge. Let's just say that we had to hunt down our own cocktail...

I've always liked this Earls.Food has been consistently good to great and service has been above average.Decor is awesome as is the patio and lounge.I love the tuna rolls on the appetizer menu.Often have it for lunch.Friends have had the chicken tacos which they rave about.Soup of the day with the rosemary bread is always a fav.
One of the best all around places to have a meal.
Earl's is one of my 'must stop' places when I visit Saskatoon. It's got a great vibe. Overall, people just seem to be happy here. It's modern, has a good menu and I love the fact that it is in a renovated bread factory.
It's a bonus that they have always had a great out door seating area for as long I can remember. It's a great place to enjoy a salad or appetizers and cocktails during the...

It never ceases to amaze me how Earl's it "the place to be" in Saskatoon. In other citis I've lived in it's simply just a restaurant/lounge, but in Saskatoon it is held in higher esteem. Weird.
That being said, the menu is a typical Earl's menu, as is the decor. It can be tough to get a table on a Friday or Saturday night, especially if you have a big group. So be prepared for a bit of a wait....

I've been to Earls in other provinces and it has never let me down.
The food and ambience is always great and the scenery is good ;)
If you've been to an Earl's before then this one will be much like you would expect. Modern interior with booths and a big bar you can eat at or just get your cocktail on at. I had the Spicy Black Bean Soup which was recommended and was definitely tasty. To go with it I had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich that was just the right size.
Maybe it's because I'm American, but when I go to chain places I...

I love their chicken-apple and brie sandwich but the last time I was there the service was terrible. The waitress was rude to our family and as a result I have not been there in a couple of years.
Good food but not worth waiting for with the poor service.
The best ceasar salad in the city. It is has a lot of garlic though, so if you don't love garlic, you won't like it. The Grilled Chicken and Baked Brie on Ciabatta is amazing. The service has always been good, and I like their wine list. I have stopped going to Earls though since they added the ostrich heads in the lounge. Especially when I heard the owner only did it for publicity. It is quite... more
Rude, incompetent staff, over priced lacklustre food, and creepy, tacky decor (seriously, severed ostrich heads? Who thought that up?) I will not be returning to Earl's.
I love Earl's, everytime I go they are always busy and the staff are always friendly.
Was there this past Saturday with a large group of people intent on having a good time. This was stifled by the fact that we were not able to make a reservation when we tried 3 days earlier. We were told on the phone at that time that the wait time would be minimal. However, on arriving, we were told that it would be 2 hours, and were forced to wait for 3. We spent that time in the lounge,... more
