Went there on a date and the service was great. Food and wine were served perfectly. The best cedar planked salmon I have had In Alberta for sure!
So excited that this dirty dump is being renovated. We love Earls but this GP Earls was a total disappointment so many times. The kitchen is filthy!
Looking forward to a clean Earls that is worthy of the name!
There was a fire at Earls and it is now shut down until further notice. They are in discussion whether it will be rebuilt or remain closed
Earls is a restaurant you would go to if you want the experience, not to eat. It has been years since I was there. Years before the date selected below (the oldest choice allowed).
The meal was served on a huge plate. On the plate was 3 very small potatoes, extremely small portion of vegetables, and what I would say...

Good food, best soup in town and the chicken tenders are not processed food!!. A little pricey and would love a kids menu.
The food was fresh and well prepared and our server was very engaging and friendly. I would definitely come back. It is however Earls so do not expect creativity and unique dishes.
I'll keep this one short and simple. It's a nice place. I like the atmosphere in the lounge area. The TVs are placed nicely. Only complaint is the slow meals. Service was super fast as getting drink refills, etc. But the food took over half an hour to get out to me...and it was a sandwich. That's a loooooong time.... more
I went there on the recommendation of the individual I was doing calls with. The place is a bit strange it appears to be a sports bar/family restaurant. THey had 4 TV's on and all were showing hockey but I guess that is how it goes in Canada. I had a chicken sandwich which was $14.00 and the $5.00 chicken... more
Really delicious meals, for any time of day! They're brunch is great & so are their lunch options & you can't forget their appies - Delish!
the food didnt have lobster, too small portions and a 17 year old that got served alcahol, the wait took forever.the food we dod order tasted cold and not very appealing.
Appalling service and wait times, overpriced food and limited choices for appetizers. Overall, a vast disappointment compared to the truly excellent fare offered at the Prince George Earls and the West Edmonton mall outlet!!
Earl's need new furniture, and the food is not typical of most Earl's. It was a great place 10 years ago, but is tired. A face lift over due.
Awesome food, awesome staff, but owner is a pompous self important walrus. No longer an Earls I will choose to visit any time soon.
Great Food, Great Service As Usual !
Enjoyed the appetizers and the steak was cooked just the way i like it !
Not to happy with the menu as we had a grandaughter with us and nothing for her.Waitresses just pretty much ignored us and lets talk english and gossip somewhere other than beside or table. Will never go again.
Good service and good food. Everyone enjoyed their meal. A pleasant place to have lunch and a great choice for centre of town.
Our waitress was particularly attentive and friendly.. She was prompt in responding to our requests and clearing our plates. We enjoyed our dinner tonight here at earls.
My colleague and I ate dinner here while in Grande Prairie, it was a casual and comfortable place with good food and a very nice wine selection. We both received more food than we could possibly eat at one setting!
We went there after a work for a drink and some food. The place was busy but not sold out. The service was just ok. Not quick but not painfully slow either. The menu choices seemed more limited than I last remembered. Fewer mains but more sandwich type offerings. The curry I had was fine but that's all, just fine.... more
I have been to Earl's restaurants all over the place and this one is the worst ever. I never drink the diet soda because it tastes horrible. The staff tries to be nice and for a period went though a time of excellence. Now everyone is back to the lazy hanging around ignoring the customers sort of method. I usually... more
Great downtown location, servers were very friendly and quick to help despite being busy. Food was typical of Earls and was a good place to get a nice meal. Didn't notice the decor to be bad as previous reviewer and it seemed to be bright and spacious although I only ate in the bar area.
The draft beer tasted like the lines hasn't been cleaned in months. Had the Bronx burger, the beef tastes terrible, the onion rings on the burger were way over battered and tasted like fish, and the fries were cold when they got to me. Not what I expected from an earls as their usually excellent.
We have been Earl's fans for years. Lets face it - in a small city bereft of decent eateries it has at the very least always been consistent and for the most part edible. Nothing great - but solid and standard franchise fare. Our last trip was completely unsuccessful. We had been flying all day without time in any of... more
Service is great here at Earls, food is good and atmosphere is pleasant :)
The owners of this business need to wake up and focus on service. It is dreadful. How can you order a Quesadilla with NO MEAT and have it brought to your table 3 times with chicken in it???? There is either zero service or one waiter in particular that goes OVER the top to compensate for their shortcomings.
This Earls falls way short of the expected Earls experience. Their staff is under trained and unprofessional which results in inconsistent products all the time. Very rarely does anything arrive with the presentation of an earls item.
That aside the room is out dated and atrocious. I understand that the owner is a local person who clearly has no interest...

We wouldn't go back. The food was maybe ok. The service was fine and the atmosphere ok.
March 30.... My Birthday, My Husband and I arrived at Earls at 1:45 pm lunch hour rush was over..... We started with coffee. It came OLD & COLD. We ordered appy's, Clam chowder and Calamari. It too arrived Cold and the Calamari was Cold and greasy. We decided to leave !!!! I was so disappointed. We will not go back... more
I went with five of my coworkers. I ordered the chicken and fig sandwich with yam fries, it was delicious. However, the server was a little forgetful. She forgot to bring a menu for one guy in our group, and she kept forgetting to bring some of our drinks. It was busy in there, so maybe they were just short-staffed.... more
This restaurant always seems to have a very loud noise level. The food is so-so and the service is a little slow.
This place is always busy so people must like it. For me too busy and noisy.
Food does not compare to other Earl's in Alberta. Needs a makeover - badly!
if you like that open ceiling, cavernous feeling from decades ago. The noise from the kitchen is bad enough, there is no barrier, however the loud music really makes conversation difficult. There were language barriers, servers and ourselves had to repeat our orders to ensure we understood each other. The pizza I ordered was fantastic. The burgers are huge at 1/2... more
Food is consistent to any other Earl's... which is a good thing... and the seasonal chicken breast is always enjoyable. In the summer the patio is busy (if you like that) and inside the sports lover while find something on the TV's (the lounge side). Their take out service is helpful as well. I'd say "It's as good as you... more
I walked in and immediately noticed the decor of this Earls compared to other Earls I have been to in Calgary etc. the hard wood floors were cracked and decayed, the carpet was worn to the ground, booth cushions were ripped and wobbly and it looked like no one had re-done or cleaned the place in years. To top it... more
I am always happy with the food here. The service is quite good, and they will taylor the dish to your preferences without hesitation. Prices on par with everything else in GP. Can get quite noisy from the lounge, is a bit of a bar scene.
really nice atmosphere and also great food.
