Buyer Beware

We went to Earls the other night for dinner, the food was good and the sevice was good. Half way through dinner suddenly the waitress' starting changinging the wine price list and put a new one down. Right in the middle of the dinner the prices went up!

good food, awful service

We ate here for a work dinner. We were a large group. For a well known establishment you would think the service would have been much better. We had to ask for our own cutlery and spoons numerous times. The service was just awful!

Great place for causal meal

Great ribs and service. Place was not busy and therefore a relaxing dinner with the waitress taking time to talk to me. The warm potato salad was a very pleasant change from typical French fries. Good wine selection by the glass. One of the best places in downtown fort Mac to have a sit down meal with good service.

Great food...fair prices

We had a really nice dinner here...found the prices comparable to southern Earl Restaurants. Food excellent and we have a lovely server called Katie....made the whole dining experience very enjoyable! Would recommend this to anyone who likes Earls!

Nice lunch

Went for lunch and sat outside on the patio. Service was very good on a warm sunny day. Food was very nice.

Better choices in town

This was my go to place for many years in McMurray but I think that the competition in town has outpaced it.
For similar food/drink experiences both the Brewing Company and Original Joe's have passed Earl's in my book.

My hairdresser told me I had to go to Earls in Fort Mac. Therefore I did what I was told. Since I had dinner at the Edmonton airport just a few hours earlier( I'm only going to be in FM only a few hours), I had the dry ribs with lots of black pepper. Trendy

Went there with my girl a couple of days ago. Food was very nice and the service was ok.
Food is still pretty good in comparison to other franchises. And even though the menu isn't particularly vast, it's one of the best ones in Fort Mc.
Even if busy, this place still guarantees good service and good food.

Consistently good food, good atmosphere

Earls has been our go-to for years in Ft Mcmurray. It has been a consistent place for good food and decent service. It is a great option for a good meal in town.
Our disappoint is at times with the lack of clothing on the hostesses and waitresses and regular problems in the ladies washroom.

Highly overrated

but in a town where there is so few good restaurants I understand. Just the last time we went there was only piping hot water coming out of the tap and one of the children almost got burnt. Haven't been back since. Food was ugly too... more

ok, so being an European living in Fort Mac, Earl is one of the few restaurants that you could actually go to for some decent grub in this town. Love their ribs, the potato salad and their chicken starters.
The servers are, as mentioned in other reviews, skimpily dressed, but hey, this town is 70% men so I get that... more

Wild salmon

The salmon, rice and grilled veggies were excellent. My friends had the breakfast special which was also very good.

OK but not great

Unfortunately I was a bit underwhelmed by my visit. Had the curry chicken and it was a bit bland. The naan was dry and the rice was a bit over cooked. Average Earl's Restaurant

Average Earl's restaurant! Ok service, and good food. Noisy restaurant though... So if your looking for a quiet dinner, would go elsewhere.

Average at best

Food was average, bit overpriced. Servers were good looking but not the brightest. Drinks yummy. It was your typical earls food but lacked the fun atmosphere. I did like the patio when I eventually moved out there from the stuffy inside

Not bad but not fabulous either

I have been to Earls many times as it is a great place to meet friends downtown for drinks. What I don't like is the scantily dressed servers and the men drooling over them - it really is off putting. Food is not bad and service is okay. Nice surprise

I hadn't been in a while, but went out for lunch with a friend. We enjoyed their lunch special. We found it a good value, and very good food! I will be going back.

The Best Chicken & Ribs

The best cajun chicken & Ribs with hot potato salad, fresh,hot & delicious, i would recommend it to anyone if you are hungry & want a satisfying meal ! Service is great , friendly accommodating staff, comfortable seating.

Earls is awesome! Great big tv and great bar. Great seats anywhere and the girls are hot in their coyote ugly. Leanne served me and my girlfriend and was always sweet. Avoid unless you are with a group of guys

The food menu is different. This is a great place for guys that want to see "mountains". The girls are dressed in low cut shirts and the shortest skirts you can find. The last thing I want to see is a set falling out as my meal is placed in front of me. Will never step foot in Earl's again.

Not much selection and food was burnt and seemed cheap for the price

Food was cooked very poorly, Cajun chicken sandwitches were burnt black, fries that came with the meal were like cheap mccain fries but the meal is like 20 dollars. Rip off. To top it off we ordered for delivery for a company function and the food was 1 1/2 hours late.

Typical Earls but one of the better in Fort Mcmurray

One of the better eating places in fort McMurray but nothing new here. If you have eaten at a Earls then nothing different. Staff if overworked and the place is under staffed but they do a good job. I think this might be the mose expensive Earls on the planet though.

I went for dinner at Earl's this evening with a large group of people. This place hasn't changed much over the years, I try the in house brined Chicken, and found it to be "Dry" the sauce was great as well as the garlic potatoes, I'm never "over the moon" for the food here, and the servers are all geared up to present to the "Male" customers............... Below the usual Earl's high standards

Although the menu is identical to all other Earl's, this restaurant feels well worn and needs a modernization. Booths are worn, cracked and the seat stuffing showing. Service is what should be expected from a transient workforce. Food gets on the able, and that's it. Order the overpriced halibut and chips for a quality, albeit expensive lunch or dinner.

I had my lunch there ... I ordered all fields salad it was delisious ... The main course was roasted vegtable casadia ... There menu had a varity of food ... Highly recomended

Not much for selection

Having an allergy to garlic makes it difficult to find food at some restaurants. Most of the food on their menu seems similar and there ended up being some garlic in my food so I was sick for the night. It would be nice if they could have a bit more variety.

Have never had a meal that I didn't enjoy. It tends to get quite busy, and the wait times can be upwards of 45 mins, but the atmosphere is good and the service is good. It could use a little interior updating, but I'm always happy when I leave there.

Flirty server

The food was good, ambiance was fantastic, we sat on the restaurant side enjoyed some appetizers and a glass of wine. The problem with Earls was our Flirty server who wouldn't leave our table, she spent way too much time flirting with my date (our first time out).. was terrible experience.

Foods ok but not always well organized. Lots of staff but sometimes there is no one showing you a table

Most dishes are good, but a little pricey for a lunch. Never had a bad meal but because there is huge turnover in staff, service is sporatic.

Poor service, fantastic overpriced food

No hostess at the front door, just a pile of people waiting to be seated. Waited 15min and just seated ourselves. Waitress clearly did not want to be there, extremely rude. Food was fantastic, cheers to the kitchen, thumbs down to the non existent floor manager and our rude waitress. Should have sat in the lounge.

As a chain goes Earl's is ok if on the expensive side. In any city you could get a better meal at a lower price (perhaps minus the short shirts that are clearly mandatory attire at Earl's). yep its another chain, overpriced everything and so so service. Steaks are not so bad but expect to pay a premium for a small bit of dead cow and maybe a potato roll in Fort Mac.

Earl`s Fort McMurray gets 5 stars, for no other reason than it is the nicest restaurant in Fort McMurray. I understand there is also a Keg there, so in fairness to the Keg, I have to call Earl`s the best, because I have not yet frequented your door step (then I may retract my statement at that time).

The Place to Be

Earl's is the place to be in Fort McMurray! The lounge is always hopping and full of the beautiful people ;) It does get very busy though so go early or make reservations.

Earl's is a great place for lunch.We Don't go for dinner there as they are quite expensive, and it's hard for me to find something that's not spicy on the menu.

Nice restaurant and pub

Burger and beef are also good.
There's the fantastic Earls menu with fresh seasonal choices plus all your usual favourites done with typical Earls' flair. Then there's the comfy interior, designed to make you feel at home without feeling like you're at home.

Good food, busy on both sides

I like Earl's menu, the food from restaurant to restaurant is mostly the same quality and at this one I rarely have any complaints. Though this one is busy, any night of the week. Nice patio for the summer!

They are know for great food, excellent service and a classy atmosphere, and they deliver on all three accounts here, even in FMM!

Easily the best place to eat in town. When you enter the more casual (fun) side is to your left. Go there. It's busy so you may have to wait, be patient, totally worth it.

Whenever I visit my parents, we always end up going to Earls. This location is definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Fort McMurray. There is sometimes a line for a table in the dining room, especially on Friday and Saturday night, but you can normally find a table in the lounge (or at least order some drinks while you wait).
