worst place in campbell river they rip you off

Staff really helpful

Great value motel, with an amazing view

I stayed at the motel for 4 nights at the end of august / early september, the rooms were clean and well furnished, and the place suited my needs perfectly, it was only a base to use while I explored Campbell River and Quadra etc.

New management and improvements

A new couple are managing the motel, and are energetically refurbishing the place. The very helpful managers went out of their way to make us (3 adults, 2 kids) welcome when we stayed here in July 2011.

Unsafe, uncomfortable, poorly managed

We stayed at the Eagle's Nest during our Vancouver Island vacation. It was the worst place we stayed at during our travels.

Excellent value
October 08, 2010It is definitely worth paying a little more for one of the lower rooms. The sunrise was awesome and there was no road noise. The self catering "cottage" was clean and welcoming. Rob was a great host, and went out of his way to provide useful travel information that suited me. You will go far to find such good value... more

I couldn't agree more with the comments of the person who chose the same title a bit lower on this page.

incredible warm friendly service and perfect location to town

The room was so musty they had to give me my money back
September 01, 2010Can't remember how I got the recommendation but want to pass this on: avoid this place! Location is great but the rooms are circa 1950's and the one we were given had such a musty odor that the manager agreed to give us our money back. Pay attention to the other hotels and B&B's in the area.

5 star view, location and service for a fraction of the price

WE PLANNED ON A ONE NIGHT STAY, AS WE PASSED THRU AND STAYED FOR 5 NIGHTS!
Rob, the manager, is very friendly and eager to please his guests.
We stayed in one of the beach front, ground level units. The view was beyond spectacular! The waterfront suites are quiet and feel secluded.

A lovely little motel, great views and a bargain
August 12, 2010A surprisingly good deal. The place has very comfy rooms, much better than you'd expect from a motel. It has lush gardens and great views over the water and (weather permitting) distant mountains, and from the balconies you can watch salmon jumping and bald eagles nesting. The proprieter, Rob, is as friendly as can be.

My husband and I spent 5 days at the Eagle Nest Motel. The place was much more then we expected.
We were on a budget but we still wanted a nice cozy place to stay. We looked into many motels in the area, as motels are cheaper, but pretty much all of them was just a building on the road...

After staying in mmany other towns on the Island, the Eagles Nest gave us the best of both worlds.
Not only was the 2bdrm house amazing, but Rob and the staff did everything possible to set themselves apart from the competition!
We woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise overlooking Quadra Island.
