I ordered my first custom suit from Dunn's and had a fully positive experience.
Ordering - David helped me select the materials I wanted and gave me advice on style, colour, fit, etc. I was a student at the time and on a budget so he showed me their most 'modest' materials, which were still quite nice, and didn't try to force an upsell on me. There is something to be said for having your...

Dunn's is the place to go for clothing that will fit your body, guys. My son and I were shopping here and David the Magic Manager put together a fabulous outfit and for a 36 leg inseam and 37 arms on a slender body, that is a masterful feat.
Lovely fabric on the Belli stroller length coat, beautiful wool scarves even this late in the season, and a great merino wool sweater - all proportioned...

Not happy with the product or service.
I bought a suit for over $1,500 only to have the hem fall apart after wearing it a dozen times.
When it came time to ask for a repair, the sales person didn't believe that I had bought the pants from them.
I bought another $150 pair of pants when I stopped in for the repair. (My mistake.) I had those altered as well.
The hem was machine done and looks...

I am more of a fan of David then I am of Dunns. Dunns has lots of great clothing to choose from like Jack Victor, Baumler, S Cohen etc and so the quality of their clothing is excellent. However their bigger asset is David the store manager. This guy really knows his stuff after 20 years in business and he is very contemporary. He will get you to look at clothes you may not look at in first... more
True that they don't carry as many designer labels but they've good names for custom-made suits, like Samuelsson, Victor. Good customer service, did buy a designer from the manager David back in the day, til that Canada Line construction really was a hassle.
time for a visit (and a new suit).
Dunn's is probably what I would call mid-tier for mens clothing retailers. What they don't have are the high end Italian designers. However, they do carry Samulesohn, Ted Baker, Baumler, etc, which are a little more conservative compared to the Italian stuff. There's nothing wrong with that.
Good place to go if you are looking for your first suit.
Not impressed at all
Today I had my first experience a Dunn's Tailor's. I had heard lots of positive stories about it so I decided to give it a try. When it comes to buying my own cloths I do not hesitate to buy something when I really like it. I am not so much into the price tag, but the quality of the outfit. I usually stick to one store for years if they give me quality and good service.

Started in 1936, and passed down from several other owners, Dunn’s Tailors is one of the biggest store's for men's clothing. Apart from their in-house brand, the store also sells imported designer wear. The downtown flagship store is humongous and is definitely worth a visit to buy clothing which spans across a range of reasonable to expensive.
Fine looking men's attire can be found at Dunn's Tailors. The shop carries exclusive Canadian and European designers like Jack Victor, as well as Nautica and Missoni. Clothing choices range from sweaters and coats to slacks and shirts.
