Favorite place to go in berwick . Plenty of food very good prices .have recommended this place to a lot of people
Average food, very clean restaurant but nothing exciting on the menu. Seems like it is a favorite with the locals. Clean bathrooms. Good for burgers or sandwiches and fries. My Reuben was very very greasy.
Ate here as a fall back to other palces in Berwick that I have tried over the years. Berwick is not the centre of haute cuisine but you can ususally get a meal that satisfies and mught even be interesting. The Driftwood moved to the old firehall building a while back but het menu stayed the same as its previous... more
Had the pleasure of a family gathering at the Driftwood Restaurant recently. It was a hot summer day but the private room we had was comfortably air conditioned. Both food and service were very good and served with a smile. Atmosphere was pleasant and a good sign was that the main dining room was busy - it was obvious that... more
We have eaten here many times..The reason for our many times is the excellent food.We go here every year on our annual Frenchy's run!!
The seafood platter has been disappointing lately . Despite an increase of about 30% in price the quantity of seafood has diminished . My last platter had only 3 very small clams , and 3 small scallops , along with the usual 5 shrimp skewer and fried haddock piece. Cost $18.99 , not worth it.
Just wondering where the good food, great service, and happy customers went?
We found it difficult to obtain service, difficult to be satisfied with the quality of our food, and difficult to even consider returning.
Just wondering when we can expect the driftwood to return to normal? We miss it.
Driftwood has both good service and good food. Seafood seems to be their specialty. The fish and fries are excellent. Turkey and roast beef dinners seem a little dry later in the evening but overall excellent.
Always enjoy the food at Driftwood. Portions are big. Flavors are good. Service is excellent. Great value for your dollar.
We will make a point of going here when visiting the Valley. Some of the best seafood chowder I've had.
Every time I got to the Driftwood it is an amazingly enjoyable experience. The food is super and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Very casual and homey. The only critique I have for this establishment is to train their staff a bit better and have more professionalism. The food is excellent and atmosphere divine. One of the favourite places to... more
The Driftwood take out and restaurant is clean, comfortable , friendly and prompt service. Waitresses are friendly and give you personalized service . Meals are served hot and large portions . This restaurant has great meals at very reasonable prices.
We went here for lunch today. The restaurant is large, open and clean. It is very wheelchair accessible. They have approximately 20 tables. Even though it was noon, and they were busy with almost every table occupied, there only seemed to be two waitresses for the whole restaurant. The menu seems large, and they serve breakfast all day. They have... more
We recently stayed in Berwick and stopped by the Driftwood for supper. The service and food were excellent. Lots of selection!! We will definitely eat there again!
We never ate at the Driftwood when it was in the older and much smaller location but after hearing a lot of good comments about it since it moved to the old Berwick Fire Hall, we thought we'd give it a try......
We went on a Monday just before noon and couldn't believe how many people were there.....As we ate,...

Varied selection, decent prices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The seafood soup with lobster was excellent, counted three claws in the bowl, nothing fancy but the food is above average.
We were disappointed our hotel's restaurant was not open as promised but the Driftwood was a fine substitute. My wife had the eggs bennie and couldn't finish the home-fries. I had a steak/bacon combo with beans and managed it well. Good service, reasonably quick and good portions. It's in what was once the town fire hall and has a bit... more
Very good restaurant ......we had the following; hot hamburger, fish and chips, fish cakes and the brunch breakfast all were fantastic...we would highly recommend this place!
I took my mother out for mothers day lunch here yesterday and we were skeptical going in because we had never ate there before. Both of our meals were delicious and the service was excellent. There were 5 waitresses on which made the service fast. I had the garden salad with chicken breast on top. They must have put 2... more
When visiting Berwick make sure you eat at the the Driftwood, they have the best seafood chowde
Very large portions. I also had the lobster sandwich sooo good, I will definitely be going back soon.
We eat out a lot, one nice treat in Berwick is always the Driftwood. Liked the old location, love the new one. Congrats to all involved in the renos and decor. The 1/2 Fisherman Platter was excellent...again. Will be back soon!
I love eating at the Driftwood. The food is excellent, and the staff is friendly and efficient. I also love the prices - amazing amount of great Nova Scotian food for very reasonable prices. The new party room is a blast! Keep up the good work, Driftwood.
I have ate at the driftwood for a long time, the new place looks very nice, I always get the driftwood chips which are great, and I always have to get some to go as I can not eat them all. Their breakfast is also excellent, I love their toast. One of their cooks Carol, is very nice and friendly,... more
You'll notice I completed a stellar review on this place back in May; but boy what a difference and not for the good. I always enjoyed the food at the Driftwood, and something seriously has taken a turn for the worse. I cannot understand how such a beautiful new location could offer poor service and less than favourable food.
I...

After food came out and it wasnt what it should have been and the sloby he dressed server thinking after being rude she would get a tip i dont think we will be rushing back. We use to be regular customers there but since they have gotten the bigger place it has changed too much for us. The service is... more
Ordered pan fried haddock dinner. The fish was burned black and the fries were greasy and almost cold. Burned side of fish was turned down and whole meal was a disappointment. I was asked how was my meal and I told him but the response was. "Yes, we suspected the cook wasn't going to work out". I paid and left.
Breakfast all day and they are great. The have the standard Diner meals and all the ones i've eaten are very good.
Cut back the menu. Too much fried food, start introducing better quality food. Increase the quality of the food while decreasing the quantity of choice.
Checked out the new location at the old firehall in Berwick. They did a great job renovating and the restaurant is very modern and inviting. Loved the flooring and the colour scheme. Food was delicious, staff was great. Went with a big group of my family and everyone was pleased from clams and fries, fish and chips, lobster sandwich, chef... more
I got Two Mozza Burgers with the works for my son and a Grilled Chicken Burger with Poutine for myself.
Now, when I order a burger with the works, I expect a slice of cheese on it, my son's burgers had no cheese , after all it was called a Mozza Burger.
As for my meal, the french fries were...

I've always found the service, and quality of food to be very good. Its very affordable, and consistent. I look forward to seeing their new location completed.
Went for a nice Mother’s Day late lunch. The decor was great for a home style family restaurant. The problem, I wasn't even acknowledged as being in the restaurant. I was lucky I received a glass of water as they asked my parents, who I was taking out for lunch, if they wanted drinks. Their meal was great, mine was... more
Went on a Thursday on a late lunch - inital impression was very good. Nice decor, bright and inviting. A sign on the door advised of learning a new computer system and apologized for delays. Understatement of the year! There appeared to be 2 servers working while we were there and then a change of shift so at one point... more
