Our Niagara Falls Hotel is an 18 storey full service hotel, opened in 2004. A relaxing, secure enviornment removed from - but still close to - the high energy pace of exciting attractions, the American & Canadian Horseshoe Falls (two short blocks) and the Fallsview Casino and Entertainment Complex (400 yrds). Referencing the natural elegance of the Frank Lloyd Wright era and the...

This hotel was very clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I was on the 18th floor and had an excellent view of the American falls. From this hotel you are an enjoyable walk from either casino. Parking here was $12. A parking fee is typical in Niagara and this hotel had one of the best rates. The wifi here was free and which was not the case for the other hotels in the area that... more
I would like to start my review by stating that the hotel was very clean and the fallsview was, indeed, a gorgeous view of the falls.
My husband and I stayed here October 24-30 to celebrate our honeymoon. We usually stay in more economic hotels on our travels, but since this was a bigger trip in our lives, we decided to splurge on the Doubletree by Hilton.
Why 2 stars?
The hotel staff- from the...

Ive been staying at the Hilton chains for years now and this one I am dissapointed about. I booked a room for 4 adults and a 12 year old child, and when we got there there was no sort of accomodation for the child to sleep in. I had to order a roll away bed for an extra charge ($20). When it was delivered it just had a single sheet over it, no comforter nor blanket, I had to order that too.... more
I have a hard time writing this review because I don't know if I'm giving the hotel a fair shot, or if everything is really as bad as it seems.
I booked the hotel for a night using points, a lot of points for a Sunday night. I originally booked a smoking room by accident, and edited my reservation to a non-smoking room. Apparently the day before the hotel tried to call but I never received a...

The mattress was awful for two people. It caved in the middle which is great for people who like forced cuddling but for people who want a nice night if rest it was not ideal. The cookie was a bit dry (but free, so whatever!) and they had in room tea and coffee.
Our room had a view of the falls if you stretched a bit which was pretty cool. Walking down to the park takes about 10 minutes.

Have stayed her 2 times and it's been clean, comfortable and quiet both times. Nice lobby, friendly staff and VERY VERY comfortable bed! Will definitely stay here again. Just wish it had true 'falls views', but I guess that's why the price is right!
If I could give this 0 stars I definitely would. Let me start by saying when I came to this hotel it was my first time. I normally stay at hilton hotels and especially after I got the hilton honors card. But this was my first time here. When I came to the front desk they were not that very pleasant to me but I let that slide. I am in customer service and we all have our bad days. I never let... more
Hotel is great! Dining downstairs needs some work. Although we didn't eat the restaurant is very cold unwelcoming atmosphere. With the bar and restaurant upgraded I would give it 5 stars.
It's a lovely hotel. Not renovated or modernized ( you can tell by the lack of outlets in the room), but very clean, well maintained.
There is a pool and hot tub that looked really nice, but we never got to use it. It was always packed with people, and would be nice if they instated an adults only time in the evening.
Location is far from Clifton Hill if you're looking for entertainment for...

Nice hotel! Just stayed one night in the king suite. Was decent. Hotel service was very friendly and helpful. Also was lenient with checkout times. Didn't seem to mind we stayed an hour later than the check out time. Very big hotel.. Only get US fallsview from this location but still was nice. Decently priced for top floor king suite as well!
We had the pleasure and luxury of staying on the 17th floor. So, we had a great view, which included the top part of the Amercian Falls, and a bit and the mist of the Horseshoe Falls. (Pictures below, and Yes, I'm a photographer).
The hotel itself was great! Nice lobby, great service, available food, a restaurant, indoor pool, and spa. Rooms were a nice size for 2 of us with a jacuzzi in the...

We had a great stay at the Doubletree hotel. The room was clean and ready upon arrival, check in was a breeze. The hotel staff was very kind and friendly. Location was excellent, walking distance to everything. We were on the 18th floor with a great view of the American Falls and a slight view of the Horseshoe Falls. Very pleased with this hotel. Would recommend.
Stay was great. \did not like the mandatory $12.00 parking Fee
Stay at the hotel was great, room was very nice. Our only complaint was having to pay for parking. This was a first class hotel, not cheap--think it was kind of 'tacky' that we had to pay for parking as there appeared to be ample parking space. Something they should rethink!
This hotel was exceptional, the staff were what made our stay so pleasing. They were professional, friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
Easy to find and in a good location close to falls. You felt welcome from the moment you arrived.
We arrived at 2:00 pm Sat afternoon with a nice greeting very good service we eat at there restaurant good food and service same for breakfast. clean pool area room view and location a little misleading all in all a nice stay was not happy about $12.00 a day to park.
Thanks for the free cookie at check in, very close to the falls. Free parking would be nice
Clean room, comfortable bed (extremely fluffy pillows :)), fridge was a bit noisy and coffee maker a little dirty.
Quiet location. Easy walk to the Falls or Clifton Hill area.
Very nice hotel, but the mattress needs an upgrade, they are hard and lumpy.
My room was listed as a river view queen but you had to look long and hard to see the river. It was a blip far far from view.
We went there for a wedding and it was a great venue for it. Staff was nice and helpful. The room itself was simple. The bathroom was gross, I saw hair on the floor and mold growing near the sink. The pool was nice, great for kids. It was pricey for a standard room, didn't include breakfast but they did give us a cookie when we checked-in. Had to pay for parking $12/day.
Had a great room and huge window overlooking city and American falls. Spectacular fireworks from room. Great staff.
We didn't have much time in Niagara. We came up to see the falls at night and to have a day to walk around, so we only spent the night there. Our room was spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable. The bed pillows looked intimidatingly large until I realized they flattened into the most comfortable I've ever slept on. On the down side, the shower water was tolerable at best - it never got... more
Stayed at this Doubletree for one night using Hilton HHonors points. The 15th floor is dedicated to HHonors members. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the city of Niagara. It's still cheaper than some of the other... more
Good location with nice views to the falls from our 6th floor room. Friendly, helpful staff. Bed was a bit uncomfortable for us.
All was good except, you have to pay to park there and they tax each individual day! What!
We needed an extra night's stay while in town for a wedding. We found this offer through Expedia and decided to give the hotel a try. We were very happy with the room, large and clean and very comfortable with a beautiful view. We would definitely stay here again.
Hotel was OK. Breakfast was terrible. Concierge works for a tour line, avoid her advise.
Fantastic , nice pool. Excellent. View. And location
They gave me their worst room view which was overlooking the air conditions on the roof. I requested a room change and I was denied.
This hotel is beautiful, the staff is great, and our room was not only beautiful, but very reasonable.
Our room on the 18th floor had a fantastic view of Niagara Falls. It was very comfortable & clean.
This place was great for a moderately priced place. The beds are one of the most comfortable I've encountered. The rooms are clean and a decent size. We were able to see the Falls from the 6th floor. We were greeted by a friendly staff and a cute lobby with a lodge look and feel to it. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Falls and Clifton Hills, which is not bad. It's close to a Wego bus stop if... more

Love this hotel. Staff very friendly and hotel is excellent. Very clean and up to date. Beds are very comfortable and great location! Our view is over the river! Well be back!
Room is clean & tidy. Staff is friendly. The air cond is just a little bite noisy.
Loved the Jr. Presidential Suite, had windows on three sides and a great view of the river. Tons of space to relax.
Enjoyable experience while having mini-vacation at Niagara Falls. We were arriving before 3:00pm check in but were told could park our car and have luggage brought until our room available. When we arrived room was already ready! Friendly and helpful front desk.
I stayed there with my family in mid August. When I checked in, the receptionist welcomed us with fresh baked cookies. She told us how to get around with bus and also reminded us that there would be fireworks in the evening and where the best nearest location would be to see them. My room was on the 8/F with some Fall views, reasonably big and clean. It is walkable distance beteen the hotel and... more
Nice location and everything was within walking distance. Hotel is central with nice restaurants a few minutes walk away and the area was quiet. Nice staff with good suggestions on what to do in the area. I would recommend this hotel to stay in and the area.
Very clean, much more quite than the other Hilton close to casino.
Very nice facility, great pool/hot tub area. Within walking distance to all sights. Would come back without hesitation!
Wouldnt recommend if you are not sure about getting over border. The border is really strict and this hotel will not give full refund.
Beautiful room with a nice view. Fridge and coffee maker in room were convenient too.
I had an amazing stay. They gave us delicious, right out of the oven cookies (not a bad way to start our stay). Our room was on the 19th floor and overlooked the falls, incredible view!
The room was perfect: clean, organized, comfortable, and pretty romantic. I had a great sleep in the extremely comfortable bed ! Honestly ... I could live in that hotel room...

The hotel room was very nice and clean. Did not like that they only had rooms rooms with two queen beds.
Everything was good other then how slow the elevator was stayed on top floor probably would have been faster to take stairs overall very impressed
We are a family of 5 from England and this was the 8th hotel we stayed in during a 15 day trip travelling around Ontario and Quebec. It was the most expensive and least welcoming. Got to the room and electronic keys wouldn't work - had to go back through the lift drama and no apology whatsoever from... more
My stay at the DoubleTree Resort & Spa by Hilton Niagara Falls was good except for the cramped shower stall. As someone mentioned on another travel website, the shower stall is not that big. Great location, clean, nice pool, but no microwave and parking is not free.
When I booked I was told my room would be a falls view room on the 7th or 8th floor. When we checked in we were given a room on the 4th floor and could not see the falls at all. The Hotel is clean, but a kind of average. It is not as close to the falls as we thought.
This hotel was disappointing immediately after checking in. Instead of handing out free cookies, they should be more concerned about the comfort of there patrons. We requested a crib with our reservation, and we were told none were available. The front desk called us and told us they had no play pens either for our two year old. This facility upon booking stated it would have a crib, so it... more
This hotel is very nice looking from the outside and the inside as well. Its location is close to everything in the Falls area.
Loved the pool and hot tubs...room was super clean with beautiful view of the Falls...short walk to everything.
It was a nice hotel - clean, nice staff, etc. There was some provincial lacrosse tournament going on that ruined all of the amenities though. The pool area was unusable because of the army of teenagers running around and screaming, but not much the hotel could have done about that. I am assuming the hotel offered some sort of group rate to the lacrosse teams and this was the result. If you are... more
Literally a 10 min walk to the falls with views of the falls from our room. Right next door to an IHOP and across from a margaritaville and other shops with restaurants. Next time we come back to Niagra this will be our stay hotel.
Just close to the fall and comfortable . Room is clean
This hotel was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
The hotel was really nice. The pool, hot tub and restaurant were all really nice. The cookie was yummy too
What a disappointment! Hotels.com showed it having a falls view. Ummmm...NOT! If you had a trampoline on top of the hotel, you MIGHT see the top of the falls! The hotel is decent but old and needs a lot of renovation. The staff is mostly foreign and barely speaks English. Spend the extra $30 or $40 and stay at the hotels that really have falls view. :-(
We had a wonderful stay at Niagara Falls and would stay in this hotel again!
This was our first stay at the DoubleTree and our first time in Niagara and it couldn't have been better! The room was very spacious & comfortable and we had a great upper river city view. It was centrally located... more

Beautiful hotel, close to some attractions to walk but would have preferred to have been closer to the falls. Had a massage after day of touring which was excellent. Room was very comfortable and new.
We arrived a few hours early and checked in, but our room wasn't yet ready. No problem, they gave us our cookies and said the room will be ready by the regular check in time...and it was. The room was nice, not great. The room was clean and well stocked. Plenty of TV channels and free WIFI. The location, as has been noted, is not really fallsview and not really Clifton Hill, but a manageable... more
We enjoyed it . Comfty, affordable, we loved it , close to everything, we liked the breakfast buffet they serve
The good: Clean, spacious lobby. The room was a decent size too.
The bad: After checking in, I went straight to my room. Upon walking in, I was startled by someone sitting at the desk. Wow, they gave me someone else's room!!!! Luckily it was someone I knew (my coworker) but it was still unsettling. I'm just glad she was fully clothed and not sitting on the can or about to jump in the shower or...

I enjoyed the view and the convenient location. However, when we settled down in the room, we found out that the carpet by the window was wet. After a long trip we were so tired to do anything. However, the smell of the spray made me sick and we... more
Top notch hotel, nice and clean and above average location. Nice and quite room. The sheet of the bed makes lot of crisp noise. It appears to be some polyester material that was uncomfortable. Other than that, very comfy stay. The pool is very nice.
This is the second time we stay to this hotel. We liked it very much and we will get back again. The rooms are very clean, the staff is friendly and very helpful. Very good experience!!
Bad experience. I expected more from double tree. We've stayed for four nights. For the first three nights, my room was not clean until pass 4 p.m. and everyday I have to remind the front desk to remind house keeping to clean my room. Enjoyed our double bed suite, the hotel location and the service.
We enjoyed an 18th floor room with views of both the Niagra cascades and the horseshoe falls. While the hotel was not directly on the water, the view was nice and the area quite walkable. The hotel rate was very reasonable. Would return again if given the opportunity.

Also a considerable walk to everything and an unnecessary parking charge based on the location.
Positives:
Comparatively cheap , large room , and very comfortable bed
Didnt get to try the gym/pool or restaurant, but the façade and interior were very posh and looked very much like an Austrian ski lodge.

The bath amenities are high end Neutregena, and the customer service is great. The front desk staff welcomed us back, knowing we had stayed with them before - nice touch. We had a great dinner in the dining room Buchanans, and it was a Friday, they... more
This Hotel was lovely and it was overlooking the Falls - what a great sight to open your curtains to in the morning
Unique Quality: The pool was great and as we were there in early May we had it to ourselves when we went for our early morning swim. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.
Hotel amenities include an art gallery, spa, indoor family pool, indoor adult lap pool, indoor...

Stayed here in the summer of 2005 for a night away. It's a little further away from the falls, but worth it if you're looking for a little luxury. They have a ton of parking right around the hotel which made life really easy for us as well (though it is $10CDN daily).
We had ordered a room package which included a jacuzzi suite with views of the falls and a voucher for dinner at the hotel...

Great hotel centrally situated for Niagara Falls and all local attractions.
Had buffet breakfast thought it a bit expensive at $15 per head
Unique Quality: Equal distance from Clifton Hill and Fallsview Complex
parking $10 a night
Directions: 400 yards from Fallsview Casino and less than a block from the IMAX theater
This new hotel just opened and it's sparkling clean and shiny -- and a good value. Great beds. Beautiful decor both in the lobby and the rooms. Good pool(s). Check out their deals online for a possible breakfast option and enjoy their great breakfast buffet. Location isn't overlooking the falls but it's still very convenient to Niagara and, in some cases, even more convenient because you're not... more
My new favourite place to stay at the Falls!
I just came back from a very nice weekend for my bachelor party event, and we stayed here for one night. I've long thought that this hotel looks really nice and have been curious about how it is to stay in it. During the previous 758 times travelling with my family, we've never stayed here because it sort of sits in the middle of no-man's land. It's...

The hotel is beautiful and the service was extremely friendly and helpful.
From the convenient location (IHOP across the street, fallsview casino within 2 blocks walking distance), the free warm cookie upon check-in to the clean room and large lobby with fireplace, this hotel has many things going for it and not overly expensive.
I've always stayed at Hilton and Double Tree hotels sense I was very young and have never had problems with them. My boyfriend and I decided to go to Niagara Falls for a weekend trip. This hotel had many negative attributes that other hotels did not.
Positives
- great pool/sauna/hot tub area
- there is a gym although not much to work with
- the hotel had a great feel to it, the lobby area felt...

Really nice hotel. Clean, large rooms and the view was just as promised (stayed on 16th floor). Fortunately, we came during off-season in November so our rooms were only $114/night, which is a steal.
The hotel is in a great location and is visually lovely in design. The lobby was very nice but although it was cold there was no fire going in the fireplace which was odd since it is the first thing you see when you walk in. The front desk staff who checked us out in the morning were very friendly and helpful. However, the front desk staff that checked us in were not particularly friendly. The... more
We enjoyed our stay very much. Walking distance to the Falls and restaurants.
Definitely agree with most other reviews that the location is better despite a longer walk to the falls.
-FREE WIFI. Nothing beats that
-Warm cookies upon check in
-Two queen beds making it possible for you to have up to 4 people comfortably
-Nice view of the village - not the falls
-$12 parking, indeed reasonable for the area
-indoor pool and gym area - wish its extended outdoor but very posh
Great stay from start to finish. My husband and I stayed there while celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We booked directly through the DT site and got a great rate. We really appreciated the card from the staff, tucked into the check-in packet. It was a nice surprise. They were very friendly and efficient, and we had no issues with anything. The view from the room was picture perfect,... more
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Doubletree. The hotel décor was really refreshing. Hotel staff all accommodative and helpful. We were on the 17th floor with a great view of the American Falls. Bed was very comfy and the rooms very insulated from other room noise.
We ate breakfast at the hotel one morning and at $15pp not cheap but it was very good. And was all your can eat buffet...

The hotel and rooms were okay. We expected to be able to see the falls from somewhere in the hotel. I was told there were a few rooms that could see the falls from their windows but that they were booked. There was no falls observation area. It was about a 20 minute walk to the falls. Most of the Doubletree hotels I have stayed at are in better condition and more upscale. The tour we booked... more
From entrance to exit, we were very impressed! The staff was friendly, the rooms were spotless, and the location was convenient.
Once again.... Steaks or very thin and over priced. I had the mushroom ravioli and they were great. Waitress was terrific
I went up to the Canada side of Niagara Falls for dinner and Buchanan's Steak restaurant inside the Doubletree hotel was highly recommended. I had the Ribeye steak and it was perfectly cooked. Our server (Nicholas) was great and provided a top notch dining experience. If I ever hear of anyone visiting the Falls, I would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant. Thank you!
Decent views of the American Falls. Very comfy beds. The decor is very nicely done, sort of a twist on Arts and Crafts style.
Close to everything. Once we parked, we didn't drive again until we left two days later.
Had drinks in the bar. I ordered a mojito just because it was on the menu. But the bartender had to go off on a quest to find mint! I wouldn't have ordered it if I didn't think they...

The hotel is clean and well kept. The rooms are average size and the beds a comfortable. The lobby is spacious and average. The desk staff was not very knowledgeable or friendly. We paid the premium rate for a 'Falls View' room, but upon our arrival we were very disappointed to only see a glimpse of what we think could have been the falls from the 16th floor. I called the desk after an extended... more
I would suggest wearing sneakers. There is a lot of walking up hills and steps. The hotel wax very nice. I wish it was a little closer to falls, but I would recommend staying there.
Two reviews in one here
Restaurant Review
-Service not very good
-Lunch menu limited
-Everything in the Falls is way overpriced
-The buffet selection and quality is actually very nice
-What I didn't like was the service. Seems like a bunch of grannies providing average service.

Great room, great view, overall great place! Short drive to the falls. Staff is great and dining room is excelent.
It doesn't matter how many people are at the front desk, only one will take care of a guest. Waited in line to ask a question and was not even an acknowledged by the front desk employees. Couldn't provide basic information about where to find a quick place to eat or where to find the nearest gas station. It's located on the worst spot in the area which requires you to walk around on either side... more
We had pretty high expectation and is excited before we arrived to this hotel. However when we arrived I was totally sorry to my family who travel with me. The Doubletree Fallsview is a beautiful hotel. The lobby has a lodge type feel to it. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. It was about 15 minutes to walk to one end of the Falls and about 20 to get to the other end. There is an uphill walk getting back to the hotel.
This is a very nice hotel and one of the more affordable ones in Niagara Falls. The lobby is big and beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I was pleased with the size of the room and most of all, the quality of the bed and linens. We had a fabulous king size with soft, luxurious pillows and sheets. This is something I really appreciate in a hotel and they... more
It was my mistake to stay in a smoking room, so I didn't get much experience there seeing as it smelled really bad. If I had stayed in a nicer room, I may have given it 4 stars.

A lovely looking hotel. We always had the same waitress in the mornings which made our stay more enjoyable. The downside of the hotel is the location. It's about a 10 minute walk to get to Clifton Hill and not very well lit at night might I add. We also had ants in our room. I hate insects! They moved us to another room.
12 dollar plus tax for parking at the hotel is ridiculous, especially for a hotel that's a good half mile from many attractions... the hotels on Clifton hill even offer free parking for hotel guests and they're in PRIME territory. Also we ended up with 60 dollars worth of pay per view movies charged to our room, during a period of time when we weren't even in the room! The took 30 dollars off... more
This is a beautiful hotel in Niagara Falls, and you get their special cookie when you check in :)
Quick service at front desk, nice rooms, comfy beds and only a few blocks from the new strip.
I like this hotel. It is in a quiter area - less busy than some right by the falls. The rooms are clean and a good size. Check the prices for all different levels - sometimes the price spreads are really small, say between one view and another, or between a room and a junior suite. Free WiFi that is actually fast.
Downside: the views, even on the top floors, are good but not great. It is...

The hotel itself was nice, clean, and in the middle of it all. However, it is convenient to nothing. Everything is quite a walk from this location. No 10 star? Oh well. My friends and I love love LOVED this hotel! We flew to Buffalo from Houston and stayed here under my employee rate. Great room, fantastic view! The bed was comfortable too. The downside is the shower was super tiny and we are average size people. This hotel has a great fitness center. The wifi was a bit weak on the upper floors. I would still stay again.
Great location. You can walk to the Falls in 15 minutes and visit the crazy loud carnival area which is a few blocks away if you like. If you need a view of the Falls from your room, or like the casinos, this is not the place for you. Great deal for this hotel and you can always count on the chocolate cookies. Yum! Parking is $12 a night and you want to use this to walk down the Niagara state park since it about a 10 minute walk to see the Falls. The area isn't particularly attractive but it will do.
Absolutely lovely hotel... beautifully designed, Arts & Crafts decor in the public areas, charming and professional staff, gorgeous views,
Good location... close to the falls, yet not in the midst of the heavily-trafficked tourist area.
Our 2 day stay here was far better than I expected, and the value for the price was outstanding.
Our room was everything we wanted. Very clean, great view of the falls (ask for a room on the top floors for this). Staff was very polite. Buchanan's restaurant had good food and great service. By far the most gorgeous hotel in Niagara Falls. Magnificent lobby, a stunning two tier pool with a waterfall, and a nice fallsview. We come here every year for Christmas, and are never disappointed. the hotel is fairly close to the falls and Clifton Hill but it is a hike to walk so plan on taking car out if you do not walk alot. Parking is $13 (incl tax) which we were not aware of. Very pretty and affordable hotel for niagara. Just request a room with good view when you check in
Hotel is located within walking distance to several of Canada's main attractions.Fall view room had a great view, very clean, friendly staff.Only complaint is they charge $12 a night to park in there parking lot.
The room was clean, comfortable, plenty of seating, nice view of the Falls. The double jacuzzi tub was a nice added feature. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food and service was fabulous. I would definitely stay there again.
“You will not be disappointed in this beautiful hotel. The room we had was very well maintained and had everything you would expect. We did get the king suite so that our daughter could use the fold out couch in the living room which worked out very well giving us all the privacy needed.”
Hotel was very nice. Pool and hot tub were great, as was the staff at the front desk. Great value for for what we paid. Would definitely stay again- just a few blocks from the casino too!
My husband and I wanted to go on a little weekend getaway so we chose Niagara Falls. Doubletree is a great hotel. It was beautiful on the inside, and the location was great. “The hotel was what I expected, was very disappointed with having to pay to park in their parking lot.”
The room was very nice, clean and a reasonably good view of the falls. We watched fireworks over the falls from our room. Short walk to the falls and other activities.
Very clean, nice renovation. The breakfast was over priced for eggs that were over cooked. It is not right near the falls, it is a bit of a walk and there is no place to see the fireworks over the falls unless you walk to the falls (less than ideal in the rain). The staff were polite. Free wifi is a plus.
This hotel was spacious and comfortable. We could barely see the river from our "river view" room and could see nothing of the falls. This is a party hotel. Drunks were yelling and whooping it up all night. We all had a hard time staying asleep. Don' stay here if you want peace & quiet.
We were greeted well and had a speedy registration made personally sweet by the warm cookies, but the charge for parking was a sour, greedy thing to do.Rroom service had to be called for our room to be cleaned.
been charged $12 for over night parking on completely empty parking lot
Check in was fast, rooms were nice and comfortable. Close to the Casino, easy to get to. I would stay there again.
Hotel staff was excellent. We arrived 3 hours early and they made the exception to let us check in at that time with no hassel. Very clean, well situated to most attractions, lovely view of the falls
Great location. Walkable to the Falls, the Skylon Tower, and other attractions. The rooms were nice and clean, with friendly staff. The only thing I wished for was a clearer view of the Falls. We were on the 16th floor (of 19) and still had trees obstructing most of the falls. The view of the fireworks was perfect, though! Overall a very good experience.
This was a very clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel. We had a two room suite which was great. It is more than a two block walk to the falls, but its still close enough to walk to most things. Parking fee is high compared to other properties and the generous availabilty of parking. Cable TV channels are limited though.
Nice hotels are one thing which this hotel is but it is way out of the way. But the real kicker is the staff. When you`ve been traveling all day the last thing you want to hear is, "your room is not ready." But that's exactly what we heard. Celebrating an anniversary? Don't expect anything from these guys. Want any kind of smile, please or thank you? Forget about it!! In short, if all you want... more

This was a 3 Star stay at 4 Star prices. Elevated (Gotcha Tourist) meal prices and a mind numbing tax.Good location and good view of the Falls. The staff was very responsive. $12 daily parking? Ouch! A 7 days cruise is a better travel value.
“ Great hotel. Super convenient to everything and there was to do in Niagara. The fireworks were right outside our window. ”
We had a very enjoyable time in niagara falls, was not prepared for how expensive the meals were in canada. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Would definately recommend seeing the sites on a tour. prevents a lot of walking and you are able to see most of the sites on a one day tour.
“The hotel was very nice and offered everything we needed. The hotel was within walking distance to the falls and various other restaurants, activities, etc.”
“Very nice hotel. The lobby is very inviting and the staff is friendly. By check in you get a double tree cookie, which is very tasty and it makes you feel welcome. The self-parking was expensive, but you could use your car whenever you want. The restaurant in the hotel was very expensive, so we always went out to dinner, but the Starbucks in the hotel was great.”

“Nice place to stay overall in Niagara Falls. It's a little on the expensive side, but well worth it when you compare the prices of other 4 + star hotels in the area.”
“If you are looking for a good location and a decent room, do not stay at this hotel. TV's from 30 years ago when the place was built. The beds are not great either, also this is not what you would expect of a double tree, to my understanding double tree is like embassy suites where every room is a suite. These rooms were like jail cells, I couldn't wait until my sentence, I mean stay was over.”
“The hotel was a off of the main drag which was nice. Walking to the Hard Rock was 1 Mile and across the bridge to the US was another 1/2 Mile. Walking to the Journey Behind the Falls at Horseshoe Falls was 1 Mile. Some of the walking was uphill.”
“Our stay was great. The staff was wonderful. Not only were they accommodating under normal circumstances, but came to the rescue when we had one of our friends pass out at a restaurant. “This hotel was charming and welcoming from the moment we entered the doors. With all the glitz and bang of the niagra falls casino area it was delightful to come back to the comfort of this hotel and relax in such an inviting atmosphere.”
I had to call around 3 pm to get the room clean and clean towels and the second day they cleaned the room but left the dirty cups and glasses with no clean ones and my friends parents they left the cleaning supplies in the bathroom luckly we had no small kids

“Everything was great, no complaints and staff was very friendly and helpful.”
“Overall I loved this hotel. It was very nice and I miss it a lot. Those cookies were amazing that they gave at the front desk. View was great and overall great people there.”
“Overall, my experience at this hotel was good. I thought the art decor looked of the lobby was really nice, but I would have liked to see that style carried throughout the hotel and rooms. Instead the room we stayed in was pretty typical, nothing special. I also doubted how well the floor had been vacuumed but otherwise it seemed clean. Free cookies when you checked in was also a perk!”
“I was very pleased. Great service and friendly staff. The hotel was impecable and

“This hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Awesome view of American Falls and a part of Horseshoe Falls.”
“The staff was incredible and always willing to go the extra mile. The room was very large and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pool and hot tub were extremely clean.”
“Upscale and pleasant hotel within sight of the mighty Niagara.”
“A 4 star hotel would not have such a small, tiny bathroom with fixtures bought at Wal Mart. The
TV was very old. It was a nice place but not a 4 star and $10.00 for parking in a lot is also not expected.”
“The overall aesthetic was visually pleasing! Gorgeous!”
“This is a high quality hotel, with very, very, comfortable beds. Highly recommended. $10.00 overnight parking fee was a bit much and we felt unnecessary.”
“Nice for a get away with the kids. They loved the pool.”
“This hotel has exceeded my expectation a lot. Hotel is very new. Room is quite spacious. Staff is extremely friend. They even gave cookies to my children when we checked in at 11:30pm. The pool has salt water. It is small but bigger than it looks on the picture.”
I was aware prior to leaving about this hotel. Not only is it fairly new, but the price through Skoosh was amazing. I saved at least $100. Thanks Skoosh!
“I was very disappointed in the very poor sound proofing in the rooms, more like a cheap hotel instead of a 4 star hotel.”
“Very nice quiet rooms all had a beautiful view of the city.”
“Very personable staff, attractive lobby and pool area. Nice seating areas to relax in, fireplace and flatscreens in lobby, coffee and gift shop on premises. Warm cookies at check-in! Fast and easy checkout, would definitely go there again.”
Do not stay here. First thing, do not believe them when they say the view is beautiful. The hotel is too far to even consider it a view. Next, the hotel is to far away to walk to the attractions and not need 911. Get this, UPS is leasing a space from the doubletree and they charge you $5 to use the computer. I very much enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree Hotel Niagara Falls. The rooms at this hotel are amazing. When I stayed here in July 2006, I decided to book a Fallsview Suite and am glad I did. The breakfast is over price. Some food were over cook. I could have better food under 10 dollars.
First of all, it's not up to par of a 4 star in Niagara Falls. It just doesn't meet the standard of cleanliness, service or prime location to meet that criteria. Staff told me on the phone it was a short walk to the Casino. Well, they lied. It was a miserable walk to the casino, especially when it wasn't great weather. Cleanliness was about equivalent to an average 3 star. The place is cheap,... more
The building amenities are very nice and relatively new. However I was dissapointed with the bed selection. I was staying with my husband and we were given a room with 2 double beds. The beds however were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in--just like other reviewers... more

Wonderful view from the 18th floor. Bed was so comfortable. Bathroom was a little lacking, door to private shower commonde area didin't close, towels are so rough they hurt, and a really small shower, but I didn't take a vacation for the bathroom and would recommned this hotel to anyone. Having to pay for parking every day as a guest of the hotel was really bizarre.
Lovely room but could only see a sliver of the falls and we were on the 16th floor. It was very clean, however, one huge drawback... the towels were like sandpaper! OUCH. Disappointing for a 4 star hotel. The restaurant buffet breakfast was a disappointment as well. Food was cold, limited selection, and very bland. There were other cheaper places very close by. I wish we had stayed somewhere else.
Room was large and clean, and very reasonably priced. Lobby and pool decor were wonderful, also enjoyed outdoor hot tub area. We walked back and forth everyday to the Clifton Hill/Falls area-about 10 minutes away. Stay for the value, not a view of the falls (will only be a little sliver). Would go back.
This was the perfect place for my girlfriend and I. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend getaway by the Falls. The people were friendly attentive, and the cookies were amazing. I will go back for sure.

Liked everything. Convenient. Great view from our room. Everything we were looking for. Good restaurant too.

Naturally, since it is new, the rooms were immaculate, very pretty, and roomy. The beds were very comfy; the room did seem to lack places to put your suitcases (if you didn't want them to sit on the floor). However, that was no big deal.... The suite was very... more
