Great place to be on a Thursday or Saturday night as usually decent cover bands playing those nights. However, the food isn't great and the beer selection is a bit limited for an Irish pub.
The food has gone down hill in the past few months. Washroom are the worst in the city. Bands are usually good on the weekends but bar staff need to do way better service and not over serve drunks. Middle of the road at best..
Dolans is a great spot to go on Thursday night to see what crawls out of the darkness of Fredericton! Wear thick insoles too, because you're bound to step on at least one shard of broken glass. Also if you slip Richard Richard a 5 sheet he'll sneak you in the back, stay classy Dolan's!
Great venue to see some live music - super dance floor and lots of fun!
Pub fare is always tasty and hangin' out with the locals is always a great way to get to know a city. If you keep your eyes open you may even see the owner busing tables or serving drinks! True Maritime hospitality.
Be careful -...

I'd previously visited Dolan's with family when my baby was a few weeks old. At that time we were surprised to learn that they didn't have baby changing facilities, so we had to lay the infant on an unused bench seat to change a soiled diaper.
Today we ventured back since they were participating in the local "Burger Battle" competition....

Came to watch the men's hockey game against the American's - love the Olympics, but I found out what I really love is the home style clam chowder here with in-house handmade biscuits and molasses. Who has molasses any more - amazing! Turns out their menu and kitchen have seen big changes in the last little while and most everything... more
I came into Dolan's on the thursday night before Valentine's day because reservations for then had fallen through and I need somewhere else, fast...DOlan's was the saving grace. My girlfriend and I both enjoy this spot, but it didn't seem a romantic place to spend an evening dinner. They were the only ones who didn't turn me away when I asked for a reservation. Anyways, Valentine's day night... more
Large group of us (10) stopped by for supper and drinks on our last night in Fredericton. Great drinks (made a mean 'Dave Matthews' cocktail)! We were there on a wednesday night, but unfortunately, music didn't start til' 10pm and we had to leave. Great food and wonderful service for our large table! Would definitely recommend!
We descended upon Dolan's Pub in a huge mob after our roller derby bout was cancelled due to a power outage. This could have been the beginning of a terrible time, but instead we had a fantastic evening. The wait staff managed the huge influx of people with grace and speed. The food was nothing fancy, but it came in... more
We were walking through Frederiction looking for a bite to eat when it started pouring. Ducked in here as it was closest place to get out of the rain. Very plain decor for a pub but the beer selection is decent and the food we had was surprisingly good. The seafood cakes were easily the best we had in the... more
The atmosphere there is really good, the service was great. We tried the wing for our appetizer with the maple bbq sauce, it was really good and it would be the only thing I would go back for.
As our entre I took the irish mac and cheese, it was quite bland. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to give it any taste. My partner got the pull pork sandwish and said it was edible. I tried it and...

Had a great time here while visiting from Maine a couple weeks ago. The service was super friendly, attentive and fast. The food was excellent. The live band was excellent. Outdoor seating? Hell yes. Great place; we'll be back.
This restaurant was so horrid that I made a Yelp account to warn future diners away.
Truth be told, the only reason we went here in the first place was because it was still serving food. That's basically about the best thing I can say about the place: at 9PM on a Wednesday they are still serving food.
She ordered a burger, I ordered fish and chips. We've been to enough pubs to know that...

I love Dolans, good place for drinking and I heard the food was good. My friend liked his burger but I ended up with a ceaser salad with only croutons and a weird viniger dressing because there was thing else to order.. I didnt eat it. Vegetarians beware.
It has been several years since I visited Dolans and was pleasantly surprised with the new menu that has lots of house made items. The service was attentive and friendly, our beer didn't get to within an inch of the bottom. Will be back soon
Dolans has delicious pub food during the day. At night, there is often live music and great cover bands. It's a fun atmosphere for a sit-down night or a dancing night.
Service was awesome, the food was fresh, hot and fast and Dolan's has the best nightlife around!! They also have great nightly features. Half priced apps on Mondays and wing night Wednesdays are my favorites.
The beer is cold, the atmosphere is friendly, the staff are great. The food is just ok. Great place to hear live music Thur thru Saturday. Its an Irish Pub.
This place has regular pub food. It does not really stand out in the way of food or drink. They have a good selection of beers. They do however feature many talented bands that offer the best in East Coast music. They have a small dance floor & many people get up & shake it. I always look forward to... more
Bartender (sarah) and owner were SUPER nice!
Came here to get out of the rain and grab a beer.
Had the veggie poutine (SO SO GOOD) I ate the whole app! So excited they had veggie gravy too, that was the best thing ever for me to see on the menu.
My friend had the veggie nachos and said they were good. typical nachos.
Nice atmosphere, lots of tvs, we sat at the bar. pretty good size space...

Not the best choice. Had a stir fry which I had to send back. The dish was soggy and very bland. The vegetables appear to have been from a frozen bag (the kind where all the carrots are cut in almost identical little cubes). They did quickly offer to bring me the menu so I could make another selection and... more
This was a second stop for our girls night out. After having dinner we stopped in for a couple of drinks. There was a live band playing. It was a beautiful evening so we sat out on the patio. My only complaint here was that the patio was quite busy and nobody spoke to us for about 10 minutes. We... more
It's been quite a few years since I've stopped by here. The place once you enter is a dark cavernous spot with mostly 4 person tables and a few booths.
We stopped for lunch and it was one of those days where it took about 45 min to get our order. Not going to fault them for being short staffed on a tuesday. The staff that was working was very nice, did her best & worked hard.
We had steak...

We were given a gift certificate, so that's why we went for lunch. Loud, we could hardly hear ourselves have a conversation!
While still called Dolan's pub- a New Owner took over in the fall of 2010. It is still a good place , brings in good bands from around the Maritimes and keeps with the Irish tradition. Good food, great patio over in the Tannery Section of downtown fredericton. On Sunny days, the place is busy. the food is pub selection. Good selection of beer on tap.
It is very busy Thursday night. YOu can be...
