NEW YEARS EVE 2010 at Delta Guelph Hotel. Party with DJ, International Dinner Buffet, Dancing, Champagne, Party Favours and Live Entertainment featuring Adrian Raso. $90p.p.
We were very comfortable, slept well, quiet area - we were visiting from London, ON
Hotel was clean and staff was very attentive. When I needed a cab the staff called a wheelchair accessible cab without me even asking and it arrived promptly. Sunday brunch was delicious and reasonably priced.
The staff are cheerful, friendly and helpful. GREAT restaurant on site.
I've been to a few Delta Hotel's in the past and must say, it's been a comfy stay each time. The Delta in Guelph was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. I suppose the only thing I noticed (which I mentioned to reception when I checked out) was that the feathers in the comforter head settled to the bottom (foot of bed) and so we really didn't have any... more
My partner stayed here before and really enjoyed it, and recommended we stay again, very nice hotel
we were there on business, great location close to good food etc.
Great front desk staff, very helpful. Good room (I booked mini-suite) Only issues were room was hot and needed aricon on a lot even though it was not very hot weather And they kept removing the mugs, spoons, glasses each day when servicing so kitchen are but no plates, mugs, spoon, knives etc! All in all good hotel - not cheap but good value
Hotel was clean and tidy. Conference room facilities were excellent.
Everything you need for a short stay, staff excellent nothing too much. Breakfast very good selection and large friendly bar area with bar snack menus. No complaints here.
Front desk staff unorganized and very slow at getting us a room. Housekeeping staff walked in our room without even a courtesy knock! Air conditioning unit in room was loud and made our sleep disruptive. Only 2 large towels were supplied, when showering I need a towel for my hair that I can wrap around my head. Overall not a great stay for the money.
The restaurant was terrible. Recommend you don't eat there. The room was very hastily cleaned each day, not to a high standard. Lobby reception was good and efficient. Overall not what I expected from the Delta chain. Would not stay there again.
In almost all respects the Delta Guelph Hotel was excellent for my trip, from check-in to check-out. My only criticism is, given the rates, to be charged an for open-lot parking. If you drive there (90% of people do) it amounts to an additional tax/shakedown that you're obligated to pay. Oh, and a word to the wise: If you dine at the attached restaurant/lounge, you may find the waitstaff... more
They upgraded my room for free because King suites were available. They did the same for some colleagues staying at the hotel as well. Nice comfortable furnishings, a robe, very clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
2 night stay for conference at the University, found staff very helpful and food was great
DELTA GUELPH ONTARIO CANADA is by far the most friendliest, and welcoming I have EVER stayed in,the bed is one you don't want to get out of and your wish is their command, just cant praise the staff and the hotel enough, have stayed there 29 times and will continue to do so.
I was here two nights and everyone from the front desk staff to the waiters to the housekeepers were friendly, helpful, full of smiles and Canadian politeness and hospitality. The rooms are spacious and set up like little suites of 3-4 rooms - entrance, sitting area, kitchenette, bathroom, and "master" bedroom. Everything was near perfection - as a frequent traveler... more
I generally stay at the Delta chain of hotels and must say that this location is the worst in terms of sleep quality. I stayed here for one night for a business trip and have no qualms about the hotel service itself, location, or rooms. The bed, however, was extremely uncomfortable. It was hard and you could feel the springs... more
I travel a lot to Guelph on business and have stayed at pretty much all hotels in the area and this one is by far the best. I stayed there after a dinner function and was pleasantly surprised by the facilities, the staff and their manager, Rasti, who goes above and beyond to accommodate my needs and now I always... more
This was our first trip to Guelph to visit friends. My usual online hotel search narrowed the choice to the Delta or the Holiday Inn just down the road. TA rated them #4 & 5 so not much difference.
Interestingly the first prices shown online were $169 (Expedia and two others) for Delta and $118 Holiday Inn. On going to...

Stayed 3 nights recently while attending a family function. Great room, very comfortable bed and excellent service. Staff extremely helpful. Just make sure that if they are hosting any junior sports teams that your room is not on the same floor! There was a lot of visiting going on with conversations in doorways and the hallway.
Very close to University, but quick cab ride to downtown too. Super clean and the staff were so friendly. They went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed - and then some, for a very reasonable price. Would absolutely stay here again - wouldn't even shop around.
We were attending our daughters University of Guelph Grad in Feb 2014 and had 4 wonderful days at the hotel. I would like to thank the front desk staff for all the help during our stay annd the wonderful breakfasts we had thanks to the kindness of Ines.
Wonderful rooms and a great location near the University. Thanks for all...

Great hotel, good location for Guelph. Quiet room, view wasn't spectacular. Clean room
I will start by saying we have spent a lot of times in hotels some higher end than this one but never have we received better service. The staff at this hotel are superior.
We had a meal in the hotel restaurant that was second to none. We had recently returned from a five star vacation in Jamaica with fantastic...

The staff was great, I don't see the point in guests being charged for parking Room maid service was a disappointment
The staff at this hotel is phenomenal. We are local and decided to spent the night at the hotel for a treat for our children. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and at one point one of the housekeeping staff asked outside of our door if it was alright that they gave our children... more
Very helpful at check-in, and received the option for a room upgrade for $10.. The suite was spacious and very well equipped.
Enjoyed our stay for one night and found the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Would have enjoyed a swimming pool although the small fitness room was quite good. Missed having a breakfast buffet available. Tried the nearby family breakfast place and found it crowded and the food was not great. Also, although the small convenience store in the lobby is nice,... more
Quiet Hotel with nice rooms and restaurant.... They really take care about you.
Grandes chambres très design Restaurant très agréable Service très souriant
We got one of the King deluxe rooms, and it was wonderful. Clean, spacious and comfortable! The staff at Delta Guelph has always been INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly, always willing to go the extra mile to help their guests. I've always felt welcomed there.
Highly, highly recommended. :)
I have stayed here (and only here) many times in the past few years while visiting family. This time I stayed a little over three weeks during my mum's brief illness and passing. I told the front desk when I checked in that I did not know how long I would be staying as my mum's illness was terminal. Without... more
We stayed here twice this month and I really like this hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They even brought tea and soup up to the room for one of my coworkers who was sick. The bar also has the best mojitos I have ever had. Would definitely stay here again business or pleasure.
The Delta Guelph is the only hotel we stay at when in town...which is often.
The service is great as is the property. On our most recent stay we brought both our dogs! They were just as welcome as we were!
There is always a special rate that makes it worth staying there.
You'll enjoy your stay and the people!
Service was very pleasant. The only thing missing was a room fridge.
traveled to Guelph to drop our son off at university and decided to stay overnight. booked on Expedia therefore the staff upgraded us to a deluxe room for $5.00. that was great!
Extremely friendly staff and responsive to our needs without hesitation. Hotel was very clean with all of the modern conveniences. Would be nice to have parking included but it seems to be the trend in the region. The in house gym as well as access to a local athletic club was a welcomed bonus. The Delta Prestigue membership proved its... more
clean. nice staff. no continental breakfast. no easy place to get coffee in the morning.
My 95year old father in law needed accessible accommodations to be able to travel to Guelph to be with our family at Christmas. He had the Heritage suite that was accessible and it was excellent. It was very comfortable with the benefit of a sitting area with fireplace and lots of windows.
The bathroom had safety bars by the toilet...

The bed was very comfortable, room was clean..my only little complaint witch is minor are the pillows.; they were to hard for my liking since I am a belly sleeper. There should be soft pillow available in each room as well..other than that no complaints wathsoever.
This is the nicest hotel in Guelph. It is extremely quiet, clean and has modern decor, bathroom and bedding and excellent bed. Windows that open, and have screens. Temp controls work and are efficient. The use of the Athletic Club nearby is fabulous (note: children not allowed- good for me, not for families). I've also had several very good meals in their restaurant. Closest hotel to U of G and... more
We arrived at the hotel to find out that there were two bookings in our name, due to an online error. The front desk staff worked on our behalf to secure the best rate and get everything cleared up. Well done!
We live in rural north halton and were affected significantly by the recent ice storm. We were with out electricity, heat and water. Parts of several large trees had come down. We booked a room at the subject hotel on Sunday morning and have been here 4 days so far. When we checked in the hotel was almost empty and... more
Front desk attendant was very polite. Personalized service..he knew my name and made me feel very welcome. The room was very clean. Very comfortable beds. The only complaint witch is minor was the pillows: they were to hard since I'm a belly sleeper..other than that ..no complaints whatsoever.
The room was super nice and the bed was very comfortable. Drinks at the bar were pretty expensive but the bartender was very friendly. The front desk did have issues viewing that I prepaid and this has happened before at other hotels. I'm not sure why that is however they were able to get it resolved. I would defiantly stay here again.
Very nice hotel but the through the wall heaters were so loud it was impossible
to get a good nights sleep. They kept walking me up.
Also happened to a colleague who was there at the same time.
I've stayed here many times in the past and this was a first.
It's so nice to be able to stay in this sort of quality in Guelph. The rooms, service and restaurant are a stellar. The location is perfect for the university and a short cab ride to downtown. Major shopping is just across the street. The only place will stay in Guelph now!
My job requires frequent travel and I spend more time in a hotel room than my own bedroom. I've stayed at Delta Guelph many times over the past few years and the hotel and it's staff always treat me very well. From the front desk, to housekeeping staff to the restaurant and food this hotel and facilities are bar none... more
My wife and I recently stayed at the Delta to celebrate our anniversary. I'm surprised the Delta is not ranked higher. I have stayed both here and at other Guelph hotels many times on business and think it's by far the best hotel in the area. Elegant, traditional rooms. I enjoyed the stay but found the restaurant to be too pricey for the quality and for the location.
This hotel was recommended by my pharmaceutical client to stay at. My wife and I had our wedding reception here last year. I must say, our entire day wouldn't have been as amazing if it wasn't for the Delta. Stayed four nights on a business trip. The hotel is only a couple years old so it's in excellent condition. It's right inside the university area. The hotel is very nice. With 1 minute walking distance to the University of Guelph. The Stone Road mall is also within waling distance. Nice place. But be sure not to choose a room facing the Stone Road; otherwise the street noise may be loud during busy hours.
I recently stayed here for 2 nights while attending a wedding (on-site).
The rooms were very clean and comfortable with modern amenities. We stayed in a suite which had a separate bedroom.
The wedding we attended (on-site) seemed very organized and well-staffed.
great service. Really nice room. We enjoyed our stay!
Excellent facility with pleasant staff and large, well appointed comfortable rooms.
Room was nice and price was affordable as well. Clean as well as spacious enough for my needs.
Good, pleasant would definitely book this hotel again.
Staff were friendly and the location was great. However we were let down as it seems the accounts forced the room designers to make significant compromises. Bathroom lights were basically candles. Anyone else like to shave or shower in the dark? Toilet paper not reachable from the toilet, A/C right on top of bed and load cycling keep us up all night. 4 pillows all the same which is great if... more
Stayed here for a work conference last week. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms were very nice - mostly modern...some décor a bit outdated. It was a very good stay. Enjoyed every moments . Breakfast was fine.
Our stay was just what we needed and wanted. Good size room. Clean. Fridge and micro wave. Free wifi. Good breakfast and most of all free use of the gym and pool on the compound. It is very hard to find a pool long enough to swim in while traveling. It was the perfect place to stay while setting our son up at the University of Guelph
very good. staff very friendly and helpful. close to university and shopping. nice to have fridge.
The Delta Guelph Hotel is conveniently located to the University, Stone Rd Mall, downtown, and attractions. it was labeled as a large suite but really it was a small room. The only thing that made it a suite is that there was a door with a couch and a pull out. Even though they knew we were sleeping three kids they assured us that the pull out would be big enough. It wasn't, and they would... more

This is a nice hotel, but a little lacking in character. It gives you a comfortable night'ssleep, but little else. Kind of pricey for the location. I can't believe that parking was not free. The staff was very friendly, and they offered a welcome snack, which was nice. It was far nicer than the Best Western across the street, where we stayed the year before. I would stay here again.
We stayed at the Delta a few times during my time at the University of Guelph and always had a pleasant stay. Clean rooms, ample parking and a yummy breakfast in the morning. It's central to anything you want to do in the Guelph area, and close enough to Toronto that you could do a day trip there (zoo, museum,... more

we stay regularly at this hotel and we always feel very well attended. Rooms are nice and clean, you get to use the gym next door which is a very good one and not and small warm and dark room like those you generally find. definitely a good option in the area!
I was only there for one night, and was upgraded at the hotel's initiative to a nice suite on the 6th floor. Free Wi-fi worked very well. I had an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant, and a good breakfast.
We enjoyed our stay here. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. Check-in was fast and efficient. Our room was super clean, although for a suite it was a little cramped. The fridge and microwave came in handy to heat up some leftovers, and the fridge was actually cold. I've been in rooms before where there's a fridge... more
The suite rented was a problem. The sitting room was very small, and totally inadequate for dining. The photos shown on their advertising were very deceptive and misleading.
Unfortunately the first set of keys given to me did not work. After returning to the lobby for a second set of keys, they gave me a different room, and they did not work. On the third try a hotel waiter came up with me but my third set worked. A little frustrating.
Wonderful staff. Exceptionally friendly and helpful. They offered us a fruit plate on arrival since we had just driven 8 hours.
Staff were very professional and helpful. The hotel was very well maintained and clean. Rooms comfortable.
I stayed just one night in early May, 2013 on business. The room I stayed in was very nicely appointed, very clean, with everything I could require. I stayed Sun - Thurs night for a business trip. I had a Delta room. It was comfortable, clean, up to date, well maintained and spacious. Front desk is over-all quite courteous, but not so efficient. Our major disappointment was the staff and the unreasonable charge for parking in an empty parking lot. The main issue was when we returned to our room later that evening it was not cleaned. Recently, had a short stay at this hotel for business. The room overlooked the conference centre parking lot. Overall very nice. Only issue was that our room faced the hotel's conference center building, and there was a wedding going on that night.
