Looking for a perfect place in downtown Montreal? Delta Centre-Ville is located in the heart of our magnificent city, where Old Montreal and new Montreal blend seamlessly. Our hotel is adjacent to the shops, boutiques and galleries of Old Montréal. It is right where you always want to be, near major attractions, festivals and Montreal's vibrant nightlife.
i recommend it to all you people, you guyz should try the restaurant elegant and nice food
Delta Centre-ville Montreal has great staff. First rate.
However, after my 3rd visit, I am still not impressed with the quality.
My first 2 visits I stayed in the "unrenovated" section of the hotel. The manager was kind to email me and offer apologies. This time we requested a renovated room.
Disappointing, very very disappointing. The resurfacing of everything was...

Now the last time we stayed in Montreal we stayed at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth and while the Delta is nice it is no Fairmont. The pool was nice as was the fitness center and the play area that was for the kids. Our room was large enough but the furnishings were not quiete as nice as I thought they... more
Stayed here for a business conference. Hotel is undergoing room renovations on a floor-by-floor basis but this does not affect the stay, nor would you notice unless your elevator stopped on a floor that was being re-done. This is a beautiful property - sleek decor, well-appointed, great amenities. Room was very nice, beds comfortable. The only quibble I have is... more
Staff at Delta were very helpful and courteous. Hotel room was clean. Horel location convenient. Would stay there again.
Pretty good hotel, old rooms but comfortable and quiet. Bar/Lounge needs some updating but otherwise a solid place to stay.
liked the view, and overall had a good stay...not 5 starts though... more
Great location, close to main railway station & Square Victoria metro. Hotel Room decor is tired, however there is good news on the horizon as retrofit planned for the Spring of 2012. Helpful bilingual staff. Look forward to returning to the new, improved and up to the usual Delta standard of hotels.
Our first poor experience at a Delta. We had an older room (I didn't even know delta had unrenovated rooms left) with a bit of dinge and lots of wear and tear. The TV repair guy (our tv was acting up) was downright rude. We will come back, but based on previous visits, not based on this one.
and do plan to be there for a minimum of 2hours because the views are juste amazing!!! The fact that this restaurant is at the rooftop of the delta makes it even more fun to stay there. It rotates a full turn within 1.15 hrs. You'll stay seated and while you eat you'll be moving towards a new buffet station. FANTASTIC!
It's a beautiful hotel from the outside. Great location, inbetween Old Town and Catherine. Steps away from the metro and amtrak station. The hotel room could use an update. The room didn't have a fridge or microwave. the furniture's a bit dated and looks distressed. The tv wasn't a flat screen (what hotel in 2010 doesn't have flat screens in the rooms). The hotel has internet service, but it... more
This review is long over due and I hope the security of this hotel has changed since our mishap. Myself and my fiancé stayed at the Delta Centre-Ville in August of 2007, it is in a great location... only about a 10 min walk from Rue St.Catherine, we did enjoy our stay and the customer service was great for the... more
I stay in this year annually for a large international conference and they host this pretty well. The staff are courteous and helpful, the rooms are clean and it has all the faciltiies you would expect of a large hotel. Some of the rooms, though, are looking tired and dated, however they are in process of renovating some floors so... more
My friend and I stayed at the Delta Centre-Ville on Easter weekend. The staff, restaurants, rooms and hotel itself was amazing. The staff could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable and easy and the hotel is beautiful and CLEAN!
Overall it was a fantastic experience and we will definitely be staying here again when we return to Montreal!
This was our first trip to Montreal and we were very impressed with this hotel upon arrival and throughout our stay. We were traveling with another couple and when the front desk clerk realized this he set about looking for two rooms close together and was actually able to put us next door to one another. As we weren't familiar... more
I was at the Delta for 7 nights on business, and while the room was perfectly fine-- comfortable bed, full bathroom amenities, and the like-- there was absolutely no indication upon check-in that there would be hours of jack hammering directly above my room. You can imagine my surprise when I was awakened by one of the loudest noises I've... more
I traveled here for a conference in April 2012. Here are the Cons and Pros.
Cons:
1.) Front desk staff is cold and uninviting. I don't know if this is a cultural/language barrier thing, but smiles were absent.
2.) My reservation stated that I could park in the hotel parking garage for the length of my stay. When I said...

The staff were excellent. Very friendly, efficient, welcoming and helpful, especially the gentlemen who parked our car and tended to our many bags. Our only complaint is that the heat did not seem to come on when adjusted and although the room was not unbearably cold, it could have been warmer. I would come again and recommend to others. I brought my daughter and her friend for college visit.... more
Early check in ! Bonus! Would stay again next time in Montreal.
The first night of my stay was great I had a spacious room with a modern decoration. Came back a week after from my trip to Toronto I got a very old school room that had nothing to do with the first one. I asked them to change it but they had no other rooms available. Someone told me that that the renovations just started and the majority of the rooms have not be been renovated. If you want to... more
This was my first trip to downtown Montreal to take in a Habs game. The Delta was a fantastic place to stay and only a short walk to the Bell Centre
Outdated but bed was comfy. They are renovating in March 2012 though
1/2 off was the appeal but so not worth it. Dirty room(s)Walking distance to what?, lap pool? Really? Gym had three treadmills for 700 rooms and one was broken.Heat vent in our room hadn't been cleaned in years and when I asked to have it cleaned while we had mediocre dinner they assured us it would be done. The next day we asked again and they did clean it, unfortunately they blew it all over... more
Quiet, professional staff, beautiful ambience, great gift/clothing boutique in lobby, nice layout of rooms, excited to see new room decor to occur in 2012.Unfortunately there are no 15 minute parking for check-in outside the lobby area. area was filled with trucks upon my arrival.
With a 360 degree rotating view of the city this restaurant offers a vast selecting in its weekend brunch, reservations are recommended bring your appetite because it is all you can eat.
When I arrived at the Hotel I was kindda upset (and really tired) because last year it wasn't that expansive. I talked about it to the host and he told me it was because they were doing refurbishment so I was like... well we should'nt pay for that especially because I'm not gonna use the new part! So he upgraded my room and gave me a business suite. That was great from him and I appreciated it.
The deal we got was very good compared to what we would expect in the U.S. There was no wifi in the room but the staff say it will be installed next year; however there was free wifi in the lobby, WITH printers. This takes the place of concierge service, which was eliminated last year. The room definitely needed updating and I'm guessing perhaps that's when the wifi will be installed... more
Very nice hotel, clean, good stores, excellent food in room service. I'm not paying for it though:-)
We spend a nice weekend with friends, Staff service is very professional and efficient . Location very comfortable and the best is the clean rooms they provided.I will return to here again.
I was at this hotel for 2 weeks and don't have any major complaints. The rooms are decent and clean. Delta beds are always comfy. The restaurant is not very good at all, even less than i'd expect from a lobby restaurant. Plus I had an awful pint of beer that was $9. The gym has outdated equipment and is kind of small. The pool is too weird of a shape to do laps in but might be okay to bounce... more
This hotel was good for what we needed. Great amenities including pool and perfect location for our conference. We ate at the hotel restaurant a few times...nice but expensive. The staff was super helpful with directions, etc. The only down sides..the rooms were nice but a bit worn. Also, we had trouble controlling our temperature and it was quite cold no matter what we did! We didn't call... more
The hotel is well-sited for both the business district and Convention Centre.
Very nice hotel with great services, stores and room service.
My friend and I were in Montreal for a week to explore the city and have fun. The hotel offered great amenities such as a pool, a small gym, a restaurant and free internet access on four computers. I would say that the room size was average, but for the location I thought it was a good value. I recommend using the bike share to get around downtown Montreal, Old Montreal and the Crescent street... more
Here for a conference. Less than impressed. Wifi was advertised, but it's only available in the lobby. They have a hard wire in the rooms but it doesn't work with Windows 7 and there was a charge anyway. My bed had holes in the sheets and when I pulled them back, there were chips or crumbs behind the pillows. Rooms are decorated like its 1980, except the wallpaper is peeling off the walls, so... more
close to the old town and finance centers. Short walking distance to main attractions
I'm here for 2 more nights, but here's the assessment thus far....the lobby isn't bad. Makes you think you're in a standard Delta Hotel. Not the case. No upgrades (to Gold members) that includes more than 2 double beds. That's fine. In the room the decor is from 1983. That doesn't bother me so much, since I got a fair rate. There is supposed to be wireless, but our room has no signal. There's a... more
I did not have a lot of time to do some touring since I was there for business but the little I did I enjoyed it thouroughly. I enjoyed the parade on Saturday " the carabian island fiesta/parade" on Levesque street . It was a nice surprise.
This is a decent hotel with a good location. The rooms are large and clean. For the price that I booked, it was definitely a great value.
-1 For no wireless internet - I was told that they are under renovations and wireless will be back once the renovations are complete. Until that happens you'd think they would give you free internet in the room.-1 For charging $9.99 for wired internet in the room?!? You'd think by now hotels would learn and give us internet in rooms for free. What makes this even more crazy is that they offer... more
This is a nice place in a great location, in old Montreal. The service thus far have been friendly. There is a pool which is nice, so don't forget your swimsuit. I should let you know that there is no jacuzzi. While the room is nice, I wish it had more hooks for hanging towels and hand towels. You have to pay for internet which is a bummer. There are computers available in the lobby if you forgot... more
The Delta Centre-Ville is one of the nicer ones I've stayed at. The location is fantastic; only a few mins walk to the Old Port or Ste-Cat in the other direction. If you're driving, it's close to the Bonnaventure highway to go east and Highway 540 heading towards the airport and Toronto.I recently stayed at the Delta for a conference and I have to say that the conference rooms are very nice.... more
Yeah, I'm sorry Centre-Ville, but your website is a bit misleading. The rooms are pretty dumpy and don't feel nearly as clean as they look on the site. For $170 a night, I was staying at the Thompson Hotel in Toronto. For $150 in Montreal, I expected much better than this.Next time, I am going to cough up an extra $30/night and stay in the W across the street or a boutique hotel in the Fashion... more
Hotel was very nice, clean and friendly. Rooms were average decor, nothing special. Only one restaurant open during the business week. Hotel location in DT Montreal wasn't bad relative to convention center, Old Montreal and uptown dining. Access to underground Montreal very easy.
Attended a business conference. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant expensive, especially breakfast. Room small and TV old. Most restaurants closed in close proximity to hotel closed on Saturday.
Have stayed there several times.Excellent service and personnel plus a superb location.
The hotel was fine. The guests' rooms (and they were non-smoking) did however smell very much as if someone had recently smoked. This was not just my room on the 23rd floor; friends reported similar experience and they were also on "non-smoking" floors.
I was there for a convention at the Palais des congrès de Montréal - the hotel was within easy walking distance, and could be accessed by tunnel. Also, I could easily walk to areas with lots of restaraunts and shops. The area felt very safe. The hotel seemed very nice, although I spent most of my time at the convention center, so I can't comment on the recreation areas.
Although our room was rather small, there was a breathtaking view over looking Montreal. The staff was very friendly, helpful and resourceful when asking about local attractions and landmarks. Walking distance to downtown and very close to Old Montreal.
Hotel was great. Members enjoy free internet and local phone calls.
I got to the Delta CentreVille at almost 11pm after a very long day and delayed flight. All I wanted to do was get a good nights sleep in before getting up early the next morning, BUT as I pulled back the covers of my bed, the comforter had holes and the comforter and sheets were full of static and there was this strange reddish-orange stain on the sheets...yuck! I didn't know what it was and... more
The room was too small, there was no tv/dvd combo in the room, the location was awful, no vending machines either. Paid 4 star price for a 3 star experience.
Many amazing MTL nights were centered here.Sorry about that MTL._C$
Terrible and we came home early. Management was callous about our room issues (no cable, no internet, lam not working). Ruined a 3 day weekend.
This place barely gets it 4 because of its great service. It really is the best service I have ever received at a hotel. I was there 5 nights, alone, on leisure. I did upgrade to the premium room, as I have heard the others are a bit lacking in decor. I also wanted that free internet access, and I used it! It was also very easy to set up, extremely convenient. The building is hard to miss, very... more
Great location to various Montreal attractions and easy excess to the Metro. Nice, clean rooms if a bit on the small side. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Check in was easy. We had a great upper floor (25!) which made for good views and lots o' sun. The hotel is quite far from most things, so we got a lot of walking done. Go to the park on the McGill Campus...incredible views of Montreal and quite and oasis amongst a bustling city.
We found ourselves at the Delta Centre-Ville through a Hotwire.com deal and were very pleasantly surprised at what we got for our deal. The service was outstanding from the door where a chasseur greeted us, unloaded our luggage from the car and directed us to find a good parking spot in the underground garage. We returned from the labyrinthine underground parking to find ourselves in the... more
The location of the hotel was perfect, close to tourist attractions, old Montreal, walking distance from shopping areas. On the other hand, it is sad to find stains on the carpet and mold growing between the bathroom tiles for a four-star hotel. I was pretty disappointed. The staff was friendly and the swimming pool looked inviting but we really had no time to swim.
The Delta Centreville was located downtown Montreal. It was only a few blocks from Old Montreal. Great restaurants in the area. Local area was safe with good daytime parking available. The hotel offers parking for 22CAD a night with in and out privelages which was great. Be sure to put out the do not disturb sign if you don't plan to get up early as housekeeping starts up early. Also I... more
I like this hotel. It's a modern hotel that at first may look intimidating. Because it looks like a business hotel. The hoteliers were very nice and makes you feel like a person. They also have a small convenience store downstairs in case... more
The Delta Centre Ville in downtown Montreal was a great hotel. The building structure was creative and the rooms were clean and nice
the delta centre-ville was very well maintained, the room was very neat and confortable.the staff kept our rooms stocked with amentities and towels.overall the location of the hotel made things alot easier for us.
Amenities and location as well as dining options and entertainment are absolutely unlimited. As for staff a little bit less satisfied, English not really fluent. As for anything else, top shape a very good value for your money. One less desirable thing, 10$ per day internet fee, for a downtown business 4 stars hotel that's kind of a turn off even though 10$ is not the end of the world but... more
Very Nice hotel... great pool... needs a hot tub!!
The location of the Delta Centre-ville in Montreal worked out beautifully for us. The hotel itself had some less than desirable aspects. In our room with a king sized bed there was only one comfortable chair and one desk chair. Considering there were two of us staying for three days it would have been much more comfortable if one of us didn't have to relax sitting on the desk chair. The... more
This was my first visit to Montreal and the Delta Centre Ville was a good choice for my stay. The location is excellent -- walking distance to most things downtown and to mass transit. I paid a little extra to upgrade to their Signature Club and found that to be a worthwhile investment. The room was very nice with extra amenities -- but it was the Signature Club lounge that made it most... more
We were anticipating our stay at this hotel as per brochures and website classified our stay to be a 4 star accommodation. The pool was nothing like on the website. It was cold and the employees were rude when we asked about a hot tub located in the hotel. The one main thing that was the most disappointing was the cleaning staff. We had the Do Not Disturb sign hanging on the door when we went... more
