I've had both excellent and poor meals here. I don't know what the determining variables are.
Always go to the Delta for special occasion brunches!!
They are special, varied and full of great food to make you burst with pleasure! Staff is so pleasant and helpful. You will want to return year after year.
Good location. Aging hotel due for another retrofit. Confused staff.
we had 2 nights stay at this hotel (premier room) in mid October. Room was big. but nothing impressive about "premium" so i was slightly disappointed. View from the room was back of office building..so not that exciting there either. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly which i was very glad to see after 2~3 hours of driving down there from Moncton. we had spoken to more than 5 people... more
It's very difficult to access to the front desk from the parking. Furnitures are old. Bathroom isn't too clean
Able to walk to event without going out in the snow.
I enjoyed my till at the Saint John Delta other then the tv programming, it was rather slow and frustrating to use.
My stay at the Delta Saint John was terrible. Staff were very unfriendly. I would not come back.
Wonderful stay. Great place to stay in Saint John. Super friendly staff. The rooms are a bit dated, but the location is superb.
It was so nice to be right in Saint John. We particularly enjoyed the Harbour Passage walk. We had fun visiting family and friends as well as the city.
Overall an enjoyable stay. Nothing to complain about. Close to reversing falls.
Great location... absolutely terrible view. Pool was nice. Sauna out of service.
Checkin with Staff was nice, but the hotel seemed dated, and not worth the price. Granted it's uptown and near the ocean, but the hotel itself was not special. AC was off and on through the night. Modern units tend to regulate themselves to a set temperature. As a result, sleep was constantly interrupted due to being too hot, too cold... Sleep was also interrupted by seagulls that never stopped... more
Beautiful hotel with a nice mini mall attached to it.
Room was very clean and staff was very polite and helpful. It was 'Bike week' and too many loud bikes were there. Two fire alarms during our first night there were very disturbing, but other than that we enjoyed our time there.
I have stayed in most of the big hotels in Saint John, and I have to say that, after my last visit, the Delta is low on my list for future visits. Part of what happened wasn't their fault, but man, what a disappointment. Like the Hilton, the Delta is right downtown, so a nice location--walking distance to everything, which on this particular Saturday included a fun Buskers' Festival. However,... more
Staff was nice and understanding go with the valet parking 5 more dollars a lot less walking
We were on a motorcycle trip and it was great using the hot tub after a long day of riding. Also able to do our laundry while we hot tubbed was fantastic. Close to everything, shopping, great food and friendly people. Beds were super comfortable. Definitely stay again if we head your way again.
Clean, comfortable and close to center of SJ. Nice pool and excercise facilities BUT I was dissapointed with the Delta Saint John as when looking for a place to stay this was the most expensive 3.5 star in the city yet it was run down, unupdated and somewhat dreary. Peeling paint, scuffed walls and hallways, and I was disturbed when in the hot tub looking up a tthe cealing tiles which were... more
Loved how close this hotel is to Market Square - great restaurants with patios. Also an easy walk to historic sites downtown - eg/ Loyalist Burying Ground
We came to Saint John for the Monster truck show. The only problem that I had with the hotel is it was not laid out well on where the lobby was.
Hotel itself is well maintained, staff cordial and centrally located in the city core close to famous city farmer's market and waterfront.
Ordered and paid for a water view room got there our room wasn't ready and we were told that another room was ready. The other room was an inside room with no view but we were charged the same rate. We are not impressed.
Easy Check In. Conveniently Located. I didn't expect the rooms to be so dated. Room was large, TV was confusing to surf through the channels.
Very good experience.I would stay here again when I go to Saint John, NB
only one night but small children yelling and running in halls ,had to call front desk ,but handled quickly.
Bathroom had a lot hair on the floor, around flush, etc. and I can't abide finding hair in a hotel room. Drapes were not even hanging on the rod in some places....rather shabby. Bed was comfortable, but duvet in need of replacing.
Our room was not what I ordered, it was. For handicapped people, switches were low, bathroom for handicap, it was satisfactory, but expensive for wintertime stay
Went to a show at the imperial theatre so was glad to have someone close to stay.
Booked hotel last minute as power outage in home area. Pleasant stay. Box of chocolates in room was nice touch.
Nice location for a quick visit downtown. Enjoyed the accessibility to the mall etc.
We had a good stay except that there was no water in the morning due to water main break.
everything exceeded our expectations - great place to stay
The hotel is located in a great location. It connects to a mall and close to the water and lots of restaurants. The staff was very helpful. The room was nice, but seems a little run down. I would stay there again.
Stayed in a Signature room for two nights. Clean, modern, and service orientated. Parking procedure was a minor irritation. Room service was excellent. Bedroom was excellent, couldn't have asked for more.
Awkward parking and odd layout of hotel, dining facilities under change during our stay, somewhat expensive.
The Delta is unexceptional, but clean and reasonably comfortable. Mattresses were on the soft side, and the duvets were lumpy, but otherwise the room was fine. There was no view, as the room overlooked an enclosed concrete space that reflected heat into the room.
Ideal location as we were in the midst of everything. Both locals and hotel staff were very friendly and informative. Our location provided us with easy access to restaurants, brew pubs which we enjoyed. On the whole, we had a good experience.
First, parking is $15/night. Then $1 for connecting to each free 1-800 number dialed from the room phone. Also the route from parking to room elevators is long.
This hotel has many good qualities that are overshadowed by dysfunctional conditions. No direct entrance from parking without a key creates confusion on checkout and the lack of security on each floor leads to an extremely noisy night for guests. Fortis does a much better job of management at their other hotels as their staff in Saint John are not well versed on the art of customer service.
Just there overnight - staff were very helpful and friendly, room was great, valet parking service, lovely restaurant (even while under renovatations) I was impressed ( wasn't expecting such good service)
Great location, so close to the waterfront and all the shops and fabulous market. We will definitely stay here again. Very nice room and comfortable beds.
beautiful hotel, nice clean room, quiet, comfortable. When we checked in the lady was on the phone with someone asking for prices. There was a special going on, including parking. I asked if we could get that price and i was told no because we booked on line. I didn't know I would have to pay parking - it did not say that when I booked. The front desks excuse for charging me for parking was... more
We are two elderly seniors who arrived exhausted late in the evening and received service from the two men behind the desk that was way beyond their job descriptions. I hope someone can figure out who they were so they can get the recognition they deserve!
“A convenient, comfortable and centrally located hotel, close to many of the city's amenities. The pedway system connects this hotel to many entertainment and shopping facilities, as well as the NB Museum, which means all these can be accessed without going outside, an important feature in winter.”
“I loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean, comfortable and attractive. Beds very inviting-looking and comfortable.”
“Convenient location, free wireless, and great staff. Had problems with my heater and they took care of it right away. Great hotel.”
“Good location for visit to downtown Saint John. Reasonable price.”
“Outstanding value! Everything you would expect from a Delta: a nice room, clean and well-appointed bathroom, friendly front desk staff, excellent location, with the mall conveniently (but not noisily) located at the concourse level. A far nicer room and at a much better price than all the Days Inns and Comfort Inns we stayed at on a long car trip.”
“Excellent location in the heart of downtown Saint John, all the quality you would expect. Would recommend this hotel highly.”
“It was not a good hotel. I was given a very small room. It was not a room, probably a storage place at sometime which was converted into a room. It was very depressing and not worth the money I paid for. My bed was made everyday which was good, but sheets were never changed in four days.”
