My first visit to this restaurant was most likely my last; it was not an enjoyable breakfast experience.

I'm giving this little place 3 stars mostly because I think the food is average. My overall experience here probably equates to more like two stars, but I'm sure the lady who was looking after us was just having an off day. My partner and I love breakfast and go out for it often, and when we were finished trying this place, we knew we would not be returning.

When you search "breakfast" in Waterloo, the top three results are Angie's, Mel's, and Dearborn. Well, I've been to all three and Dearborn is hands-down the best. It just has the most tasty, home-cooked food, and it comes out fast. The single waitress isn't nearly as sociable as Angie (who is a sweetheart), but the breakfast is top notch.

Great food, generous portions, good prices, and excellent wait staff.
This place can get very busy weekend mornings, but service is still pretty fast considering the crowds. The waitresses are friendly and cheerful even when the restaurant gets chaotic. Would definitely recommend this place!

I love Dearborn's home cooked breakfasts with their great coffee! If looking for great food and value then you must experience this restaurant as it is one of my favorites.

Attentive service, great food served hot and for a reasonable price. Only quibbles are the coffee is a bit weak and the decor is getting a bit tired.

Dearborn has it! Food is straightforward and feels home-made. I have eaten all over the KW area. No one does a Hot Turkey this good. Congrats Dearborn! Love your food and service!

Average diner, average food

Been here with a group of men a couple of times for breakfast, including today. Nothing fancy, including the food. I had the pancakes with sausage. OK, but nothing special. Another person a the table thought the home fries were not a crispy as they might be. Coffee is bottomless. A bland experience.
