I just stayed here over the weekend. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. DO NOT STAY HERE.
I only say this because:
1) The lady at the front desk was unbelievably rude. Her name was Bernadette. I don't want to get into details but just because you work there "every day all day" doesn't mean you can talk to me in a condescending way. I was blown away regarding her rudeness.
2) The parking! 2 BLOCKS AWAY?...

The place was a perfect location and we got an upgrade to a suite for no extra charge. Rooms are fine, functional, nothing too plush. Microwave and coffee maker make it easy to avoid eating out every night. Everything is walkable and it was pretty cheap by comparison- $60/night.
Great location near the convention but its too old for me. I don't mind the small rooms, but I do mind dusty and moldy atmosphere of each room. Our room's heater started not leaking, but spilling water out like a shower for few seconds.
Very very small rooms and elevator. TV included, coffee maker included, water included on particular floors to refill. Close to the skytrains.

As far as hotels go, this wasn't bad. It was clean and the rooms were fairly nice (if not small). The staff at the desk was a little bit abrupt, and it took almost 45 minutes to check out the next morning.
The bummer here; they don't have a parking lot on site. They send you two blocks away to some random parking garage. If you have a ton of luggage there isn't really a safe place to stop and...

Location is great, you are steps from Canada Place, shuttles,Conference Center, Waterfront lite train station for the airport or the Burberd Station for the train. Coffee shops and pretty much anything you might need is within walking distance. You can go almost anywhere without spending a penny on transportation. The room is small, warm, clean but with no view.
THE WORST HOTEL EVER.
Thanks for charging me TWICE for the same hotel room because some idiot faxed my reservation to the Best Western Downtown AND to Days Inn Vancouver. I hate you guys.
I specifically asked the staff at Days Inn Vancouver if they were sister hotels with Best Western Downtown in case there was a mistake. "Uh no we're not affiliated with them". Thanks a lot jerks! YOU ARE!...

The location for this modest hotel could not be any better. It's pretty much smack in the middle of downtown Vancouver and within walking distance to many nightclubs and trendy shops along Robson Street.
The only downside is that the only parking they have available is valet and they park your car in a separate garage for $22 a night. Price is pretty steep but we didn't even need to drive...

Even though I was exhausted when I arrived for an overnight stay in Vancouver I dragged myself as far as I could from my hotel room at this place. The room was a tiny, cramped, poolry ventilated hotbox with a view of a brick wall five feet away. While the majority of the staff we dealt with seemed fairly friendly and helpful one employee was rude. I would definitely never stay here again.
Days Inn Vancouver offers these services: motel, hotel, lodging.
