Why this comfort hotel has only a few guest?

Hotel room is comfort and clean, but the breakfast service is unexpected. We are forced to give $50 pre-authorized payment and our PIN#, but they did not print out the cancellation receipt when we checked out. The staffs really don’t like us to book via Expedia and we received an unfriendly treatment.

I enjoyed staying there. Hotel room was comfortable. Fireplace was a plus.

Don't believe when they say pet friendly

We were suppose to have king sz bedroom, which we had pre-booked. When we got there there were only 3 rooms available for pets and they were with double beds and they made us deposit an extra $50. I was very disappointed and because we had already previously paid, we were given the dbl bed, we did not go on to find a different hotel. It was a costly mistake.

I stayed at the Days Inn in Sault Ste. Marie from August 28th to 30th, 2014. I have stayed there twice before this year and probably spent a total of $1,000 to date. I booked on Expedia. Great hotel

The rooms are larger than average and very nicely furnished. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived at 10pm when restaurants were closed so the desk staff provided us with a flyer for a local pizza place that would deliver to our room. Parking is under the building so vehicles are out of the weather and the location is convenient for people who are crossing the border.

Friendly, comfortable and well located

This hotel is located close to the locks, close to the mall and we found a wonderful meal within walking distance. The room was very clean and comfortably designed, the bed was very comfortable and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Decent place to stay

Convenient location, fast check in, great staff, confortable beds and clean room. Only complaint was that our door didn't seal properly to the hallway and the cooking from the downstairs restaurant wafted strongly into our room. Otherwise though, it was a decent place.

We have stayed several times and have to say that this last stay was the best ever. Comfortable bed, great attention from staff and a good HOT breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Not accomodating

I was given a breakfast voucher on the night I checked in. The next morning, as I checked out, I realized that I misplaced my voucher. I asked the reception lady if I could get another voucher but she refused stating that it`s against policy.

Room was dated with some cosmetics retouches to make it ok for a short stay but not great value for price

A Pleasant Experience.

After three weeks of travelling around U.S.A. and Canada, this stay at Days Inn was a very pleasant surprise. I have seen some Days Inns that were pretty "Ho-Hum" or unpleasant. Not so with this one. The Days Inn in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, has been beautifully updated and deserves a very good rating. A pleasant break from a lot of driving.

Had a very enjoyable stay. The bed was very comfortable..had the best sleep in a long time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise..not just a continental like I had thought, but a free hot egg/bacon/toast breakfast. Only complaint is the noise from the street traffic. The building definitely needs some sound proofing!

A Happy Surprise

I could not believe that this hotel is rated at a 1 star. Easily should be 2.5 to 3 star. Besides all the attendants and Tanya Powe who made you feel like you are part of the family there, the rooms are clean, new, fresh, linen is easily in the 3 star level. Excellent stay

My husband and I both fully enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, the location was perfect as it is close to the mall and casino. The breakfast included in the cost was delicious. We will definitely return again.

I'll be back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Days Inn Suites while visiting the Soo. The staff was courtious and helpful. Being close to the Station Mall was great for shopping and the underground parking was a big bonus! Loved the skylight too. I almost forgot, the homemade bread and baked goods from the restuarant are amazing.

My favorite place to stay in the Sault

I was very impressed with the recent renovations. Stayed at this hotel because it was a good location and found the room to be very clean.  The staff were also very friendly.  I would recommend it to anyone travelling to the Sault....I will definitely be back!

Close to town and the mall

It was great, would stay there again. The breakfast was awesome!

Our stay at the Days Inn was very comfortable and location was excellent being close to the Station Mall. I would like to comment particularly on the restaurant provided in the hotel. The service was excellent and very welcoming. Breakfast menu was very good and food well served. We also appreciated the service within the hotel. We would recommend this particular Days Inn to others.

Great location, in downtown Sault Ste Marie, everything is brand new, the staff was great and the breakfast included very nice.

The hotel was ok. The staff were friendly. The site use to a TraveLodge. The outside reads Days Inn, but the toiletries even the wifi read Travelodge, at least the first night. Perfect location to downtown sault ste marie

The staff were so helpful and polite...we were called up by front desk about 1/2 hour after arrival in room to see if the room was satisfactory...housekeeping dropped by to enquire if we were satisfied with the room...we had a free breakfast for two...the best home made toast, bacon and eggs!!! room was very very clean....generous towels...bedding and pillows top notch!!!

Very pet friendly

The room was clean, the staff was extremely helpful and outgoing. I had my dog with me and they were very helpful to accommodate him, getting him an extra blanket, letting me know the best place to take him for a walk and the best place to find grassy patches.

Thought that the covered parking was a great benefit for northern Ontario.

Not bad, but not absolutely outstanding

The one outstanding thing were the beds. They felt new, and were quite pleasing to sleep in. Also, the covered parking is outstanding. It is certainly near just about everything, and across the street from the "biggest mall in Northern Ontario" and the train station. Excellent stay for Agawa Canyon Train Tour

We were pleasantly surprise of the quality of hotel which included parking and breadfast.

Reasonable rates. Close to casino, etc. would have been nice to have a frig in the room as my friend had meds that needed to be refrigerated. Great parking. Good breakfast.

The smoke smell was not very nice. And since we booked a no = smoking room i shouldn't have had to deal with it at all

The staff at this hotel were great considering we had a big rain storm and power failure. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast at the hotel was very good. The only problem we had was our train trip was canceled through no fault of the hotel, and we had to come home a day early and eat the cost of a room for one night.

Great place to stay

This hotel is right downtown, opposite the Station mall and a short walk to the Waterfront and restaurants.The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is great. You get home made baked fresh bread. I have never tasted dark rye this fresh. And the breakfast is free. Parking is free, and under the hotel-- thus no need to worry about packing up in the rain or snow. A great place to stay!

Outrageous fee for "incidentals"

While I have little qualm with the physical aspects of the accommodation, I find the pre-authorized fee of $150.00 for "incidentals" to be insulting. Had I pre-authorized with the use of my credit card, it would have been a mere $50.00, but when my card wouldn't function and I chose to use a debit card, the fee was raised to $150. Not bad...

The room was a bit tight... Not much room to manoeuvre. The bathroom fixtures were were all loose and floppy. Hope I don't get charged for them. Inspect your room fully as soon as you enter and report ANYTHING to the front desk right away. Pretty good experience.

Excellent location close to all tourist spots

The breakfast menu needs some variety as some of the selections were not good enough. Some breakfast options for vegetarians is to be considered.The key card had to be validated each morning as for some reason it used to get deactivated. An older hotel in the city downtown. Parking was at ground level but not secure.

great location & great price

The room was very comfortable & clean. The beds were great. This hotel has great value. We were even surprised to get a full breakfast included at the cafe. The underground parking is really convenient as we were on motorcycles. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The location is close to everything (the mall, waterfront & downtown). The staff were friendly.

We found the location of the hotel was convenient. Once we parked we walked to the locations around the hotel. The room was very clean and the service was excellent.

I will not be staying there again. I was not told that we would have to put a $150.00 deposit on the room upon our arrival. I have never had to do that in any hotel I have ever stayed in before. Simply just Fair

If you need 1 or 2 nights and don't mind simplicity. It's great. The hotel is Fair, not better, not bad, plain basic. Only thing is the location is fine for shopping and stores as you are in downtown and many supermarkets are right in front.
