For the price our stay was a great deal and location wise it was well situated not far from the downtown and not too far from Blue Mountain. The staff were friendly and courteous. The complimentary breakfast was better then most with some hot breakfast options. I would stay there again.
Went to Wasaga Beach and dinner at Tesoro.
The hotel was good the room nice and comfortable, clean, lots of drawers and overall, very good.We were very dissapointed with the breakfast area.Very small, no tables availabe and everybody getting in the way, at the end, we had to take our coffee and bagel, in our hands to our room and eat it there. They should have a bigger breakfast area, they should supply trays so people can pick up... more
We stayed at the Days Inn & Suites for 3 nights to visit the Blue Mountains and wasaga Beach. Arrived in Collingwood at noon and lucky for us our room was available. We brought a huge cooler of food and never ate out. Breakfast was great, waffles, muffins, toast, bagels and cereals. Space was a little tight in the dining... more
We stayed at this Days Inn for 4 nights in June. We found the hotel to be simple but clean and quiet. Everything in the hotel and the room was in great condition and the staff were all very friendly to us. The hotel - there was only one person on the desk when we checked in, she was on... more
Just wanted to stress that my stay at the Days Inn and Suites in Collingwood is always very enjoyable. I come very often to this hotel for business and every time I have greeted with a smile from the front desk personal. They make me feel very welcome and do their best to accommodate my needs. Housekeeping and maintenance personal... more
Saturday night 10:00 PM: My wife to reception desk person: "Can we use a table in the breakfast room to play cards for about an hour? There are not enough chairs in our rooms for 4 people." Reception desk person: "No! We need those tables for breakfast tomorrow morning." You can only play cards in your room." As it turned... more
We booked to stay here to relax after a planned ski trip. The hotel staff were rude and dishonest. They told us one thing at booking (which was done directly with the hotel) and another later on. The pool at the hotel is tiny and has no atmosphere. The hotel is situated in a newer strip plaza, and has no... more
Its sad when you put so much energy and time in planning a family vacation, only for it to be ruined by the reservations desk and management of a hotel. The fact is, that the manager of this hotel choses to avoid customer satisfaction issues. After being dissatisfied with the front desk service, we left several complaints with the manager... more
My family and I stayed at this location with my son's hockey team. It fit our needs. The complimentary breakfast was great. Lots of variety. The rooms were the most spacious we have had at this kind of hotel. The pool was ridiculously small. The location is fantastic. Close to restaurants, Walmart, grocery, etc.
The Days Inn in Collingwood is quite new and they keep it spotless. Only a couple of minutes from South Base, it's a fine choice for a place to stay when you're skiing at Blue. The staff is great and the breakfast gives you a great start on a day on the slopes. Totally recommend it.
We had a lovely weekend skiing and enjoying Collingwood, and plan to stay there each weekend through the ski season. It would make sense to have a smaller fee for later checkout at the end of the weekend. I'm sure the volume would bring in quite good revenue as people who still want to ski or enjoy the day would... more
The Days Inn in Collingwood is a great place if you just need a quiet and clean hotel to stay. It is very much like the other Days Inns across the country. The benefit is the hotel is only three years old, so the hotel is very good shape. There is a small pool and jacuzzi, free parking, free continental... more
Hotel was extremely clean and quiet. We only stayed one night, but it was very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a great view of the mountains this is probably not the best hotel to stay at. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay at the hotel again.
We just came back from a two day get-away to Wasaga beach and the Scenic Caves. Six years ago we stayed in the Best Western (now a holiday inn express). That was not bad but the hotel seemed old then, and that was six years ago. So we opted for the Days Inn. What a great choice! From the first... more
We needed a place to stay overnight/sleep while attending a function that was about a 30 minute drive from the hotel. The staff was not able to help us with directions but gave us maps. Buffet breakfast (1-2 stars) was included so we didn't need to go outside the hotel. There were amenities available that we did not use (pool, internet) so we can't comment on these. The hotel room cost seemed... more
Our Hockey team stayed and the staff has zero tolerance for any kids. Its light s out and quit time by 9pm our house security will camp outside you door.
This was by far the cleanest hotel I have stayed. The staff was courteous and friendly and the hot/cold Sunday breakfast was wonderful. I highly recommend it!!
We only stayed here one night, and while it was clean and comfortable enough, it is rather stuck away at the end of a commercial street, with views over the car park and the next door WalMart. We did make use of their washing machine and dryer, which worked like a dream. Breakfast was cold buffet and waffle machine -... more
Great newer hotel. Collingwood only had two hotels. This and a holiday inn express that used to be a best western well over 10 years old or so it seems. This hotel is in the middle of a A&P and Home Depot.. but great location.. and A&P is 24 hours which came in convienent for us. It was just a... more
A very comfortable quiet stay. We had a 2 queen bed room. Beds were comfortable. Enjoyed having free internet. The room was very clean. The breakfast was great - lots of choice. A great location - right in town and only 15 minutes to skiing. A recommended place to stay.
When booking our room directly from hotel property we were told that our Free Night Stay certificate would be honored and a reservation was made for two nights. Upon our arrival we were informed that the hotel would not accept our certificate and our credit card would be billed $426. The hotel staff was uncaring, unsympathetic and refused to offer... more
The young woman at the desk was extremely helpful and cheerful. After we had dropped a pyrex dish in the parking lot, we were concerned about the sharp shards hurting the tires of our car. I asked the woman at the desk for a broom and plastic bag. She promptly fetched them, and then came with me to clean up the mess. She was also knowledgeable about local attractions. Later, she answered all... more
This was a new hotel and very clean and fresh. The bed was quite comfortable and service was excellent. The free breakfast was quite adequate and staffed by a competend person. We appreciated that we were permitted to take a breakfast to our room for my wife who is not well. The hotel was well located in an area where there was good shopping and restaurents. However I thought the some of the... more
Joined family here for a one night getaway. They picked the hotel, we just booked our room. Location is ho-hum -- the hotel is crammed between the Home Depot and a grocery store in a vast expanse of nothingness. Arrived well after check-in time, but our reserved room was not ready. Staff were certainly not empathetic. We were left to... more
The Days Inn jn Collingwood far exceeded my expectation based on other Days Inns I've been at and other hotels in this price range.
My son & I have just returned from the brand new Days Inn Suites Collingwood. We were on property for 4 nights. From check-in to check-out it was a very pleasant experience. All employees including the Housekeeping staff were quite professional and very friendly. This hotel was extremely clean and very well maintained. Their deluxe breakfast was fresh and plentiful.... more
The hotel was nice, clean, excellent service, adjacent to convenient 24 hrs A&P, Walmart, restaurants. Slopes are a short dirve away. Large flat screen tv was nice. Overall a good choice.
Stayed here one night in October. The hotel was less than 2 months old, so obviously everything was fresh. Service was good, and there's lots of amenities nearby (restaurants, 24-hr supermarket, Wal-Mart). Just a short 10 minute drive to Blue Mountain. The room was clean and having the fridge and microwave was great since we have a one-year old.
