Overall a good hotel for the money. We like that it is close to the places we need to go to in Nanaimo.

Terrible service and facility

Hot tub closed without any notice for maintenance. After specifically requesting one prior to booking. TV system sucked. Hotel staff was rude and inconsiderate.

The hotel staff were wonderful! Very clean and a really nice pool for swimming laps. I'm not certain why all the negative reviews, but the hotel is more than worth the money spent.

OK hotel for a short stay

The room was clean and staff were very helpful, pleasing and accommodating. Hotel in general needs updating and the common areas seemed dirty (ie. floors, carpet).

The room was O.K. The dinner was quite good. Breakfast was just barely a continental deal. The power went out at a little after 7 am. The halls were very dark with no emergency lights. The front desk person said is did happen occasionally, but was very inconvenient. We left quickly.

We were only staying overnight, but the room was comfortable and clean. We had a swim, relaxed in the spa and slept well. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

Old hotel on the edge of town

Only stayed overnight. Was disappointing at best. Was very dated. Hard to get to from the north side of town. We had to drive past and then find a place to turn around and go back to be able to turn into the hotel drive way.

Comfortable, clean and good beds.

We stayed for 3 nights in a king room. It has been remodelled and the beds and pillows are of a good quality. Very clean through out. We would use this facility again.

The hotel was undergoing renovations which should help with the very dated look it currently has. Hotel was nice, clean and up-to-date. Staff on check in complained about having to go downstairs and get us a pack 'n play and was also on a personal phone call. Unprofessional but friendly. Would stay again.

Our stay was during renovation I think, the halls are not too inviting. Also the continental breakfast is rather poor but there is a restaurant that you can get decent breakfast, we didn't have time in the morning, overall impression : not bad for the price.

I enjoyed my stay in the Days Inn, however I did notice a silverfish on the floor near the fridge. The toilet was low, and a grab bar in the shower stall would be a good idea.

The rooms have partial view of the water/bay and is located by the highway and it can be a real challenge to turn left if your are comming from the downtown Nanaimo. The exit to the rear parkade was full of bad odour on the first morning.

After reading all previous reviews I had very low expectations. However I was proven very wrong with a Comfy bed, 2 TVs, a microwave, fridge and CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST! Thanks days inn. You made my stay in Nanaimo pleasant. Side note, you MUST go to Little George's in south Nanaimo. Food and service is amazing.

Clean, quiet and comfortable accomodation and friendly, efficient staff made my one night stay a pleasant one.
For those interested in anything beyond carbohydrate and fruit for breakfast skip the continental breakfast here. You will be hard pressed to find any protein.
Fortunately there is a Tim Horton's and Smitty's not far away.

Frustrating Welcome, poor breakfast

Average hotel, great for a one night stop over

The Days Inn Nanaimo was a good value for our money and the included breakfast was a plus as well. We had a nice spacious room with a pull out coach and a queen bed. Really friendly staff

Our World Harmony Run team stayed in this hotel and we had a great time. The rooms were clean, conveniently located and we loved the pool and the hot tub!

value for money

We stayed there for 2 days...value for money deal for sure. have a nice swimming pool...was clean and great service at reception and room service. Good food at the ABC country restaurant...over all was a nice stay with a nice view room :-)

jacuzzi made me ill

Was given an unmade bed and non cleaned room. Changed room and given key that would not work. Jacuzzi was not working and made me ill. I complained and was told it was working. Checked on it and was still not working. Dishes in kitchenette were filthy. Very unfriendly cleaning staff.

Badly needs upkeep and renovations

This was a mistake but we arrived after the 24 hr cancellation. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke. There were wires running across the room to outlets without covers. There was a pile of dust behind the ice machine which had exposed wires. The doors from the hallways were held open with rocks. The pool looked dingy.
