It was an easy walk to,Old Town and the old port. Getting to and from the hotel was easy but not convenient due to lack of a shuttle. The room was comfortable but needed some minor repairs. It was clean and the staff were friendly, helpful and fluent in several languages.
Good food ok hotel but great location, able to walk to all amenities
standard hotel, not as luxurious as the pictures suggest
We wondered if the location may be in a sketchy area but ended up pleased with the location. In town for a parade a couple blocks away, the hotel was near everything we wanted to do. Very nice staff and good cleanliness standards made us very comfortable. The price was excellent at $78 a night for the quality of the hotel.
Hotel staff is great. Everything was nice and clean.
The hotel was really well located - close to Vieux Montréal, Chinatown and le Quartier des spectacles. Check in was easy and staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very well priced and adequate. The heating system was antiquated but worked and the sound proofing were definitely below par. One of the lamps was broken (had to unplug it to get it to turn off at night) but once notified, the... plus
We asked for two beds they have us a room with one bed and brought up a cot with no bedding There was vomit on the wall outside our room. The carpet were dirt with garbage and beer caps . The staff was rude and just didn't car. They have no parking but charge $23 a day and we have to park off site. Never stay at a Days inn again
Hotel was nice clean friendly staff good location on Main Street
Location was great but wouldn't stay again. It was a Saturday night and it felt like I was in a dorm. Kids running up and down hall until 4am on my floor and the one above. Think I made about four noise complaints. Staff we're decent and maybe it just happened to be a noisy evening - but man oh man I was mad at those kids and angry staff couldn't get them under control
note that indoor parking is very small (no place available), but outdoor was perfect
Close to many points of interest including old Montreal
My wife and I loved this hotel. It was just a short walk from old town and all the wonders it possesses. The location of this hotel was just perfect, close to the casino, old town and anything you might want from Montreal. Will absolutely choose this hotel again.
In a central position, this hotel is just fine. The staff is nice and helpful, our room was confortable and clean. The hotel has a garage just round the corner, with a limited number of space (not included in the room rate); however there is another garage available in just a couple of minutes walking.
Best thing I can say is the bed sheets are clean. Otherwise everything is dirty. The shower shows mold, and the room smells. Even though the carpets are dark you can see the stains.Location is fine. If this is your deciding factor then go for it, otherwise I would advice another hotel.
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel in Montreal. GREAT location. Close to attractions, transportation hub, walking distance to most anything you want or need. I didn't know anything about the hotel beforehand. It's an older, updated structure. Our room was a tad small, but more than functional considering we didn't spend much time there. The staff was wonderful, especially... plus
We stayed here during the Just For Laughs comedy festival. It is modern and the location is terrific. The rooms were clean, we had one suite and one regular room with two double beds. The hotel was quiet and the staff was friendly and able to communicate well in English and French. We would definitely stay here again!
Room was booked for a group by a travel agent and the room that I stayed was too small, no space even to keep the baggage nor to move around; the bath tub was choked and the flush knob broken. Problem was not fixed inspite of reporting at the front desk. The complimentary Breakfast was served at the table, no... plus
Not a great property by any means, but if you're interested in no frills lodging within the Wyndham group in a convenient location this fits the bill. There's a restaurant (no complimentary breakfast) and a staff that seems overworked but always pleasant. If you're a budget traveler, however, you might be able to get a better deal somewhere else.
I wish I could rate with another half star. I had the luck of procuring 1 of about 10 nearby parking spaces in the hotel lot. There my car stayed for the next 2 days. They do charge $20/day for parking. We were in Montreal to visit McGill so wanted a decent, but not too pricey, hotel. Days Inn fit... plus
I stayed here on business as it is located close to our office. Location is ok, it's in the centre of the city but I will warn families that the area around the hotel is pretty seedy. I would prefer to stay in a better area of town.

We had 2 Queen size bed room. It was clean and nice but ver compact. Location is excellent, near to old Montreal. If you are travelling most of the time in a day, then its a good choice. Make sure get your parking spot booked on phone because they get full. We had to park at public parking since hotel parking was full!
Our two day stay was amazing, staff is great. We were a group of 30 people and we wanted to eat pizza late night, we were allowed to use their restaurant. Wonderful experience. The best part was the location... plus
The other reviews pretty much sum it up - the location is good, close to Chinatown and walkable to the Old Montreal. Stayed here during the Jazz Festival so... plus
We stayed here from 06/27/14 - 06/29/14. I have to say I was a little disappointed by the hotel. The lobby area is nice, and front desk people were nice. Great good location. Close to downtown and Chinatown.
Staff were not very friendly. No parking, since their lot was full and have to did my own, which was a hassle since I was new to the area. Rooms are good, but little smaller than usual. Washrooms was neat and clean.
Finally, little expensive for the services provided.
This hotel is in a great spot! Very close to old Montreal and St. Catherine street. Great service too. You have to pay for parking but at $20 a day it's the going rate and near by. The room itself was dated but spotless. The bed was very comfortable too. I will be staying there again.
I struggled with picking a reasonably priced hotel at a good location for my first trip to Montreal. The Days Inn turned out to be a good choice. Located in walking distance to Chinatown, Old Montreal and the Arts District, we were happy with the hotel.

We recently stayed here overnight on the occasion of our daughter’s university convocation (from McGill). I was pleased with the hotel due to the cleanliness and I was given the room on 8th floor nearby the elevator. It was a hassle free check-in with strong wifi connection.
Can't really go wrong. Within walking distance to Old Montreal. Very clean and affordable room. A little small, but that's to be expected in a city. Very friendly desk and housekeeping staff.
Only issue would be the parking ] across the street under another hotel (a shared garage between quite a few hotels) was a little hard to navigate, but...

Good location and value for money. It was close to railway station and the chinese tour operators.
This property is a good base for your adventures in Montreal. Situated near the old town near restaurants, just off St Catherine's street. I staid 2 weeks for business.
Nothing to say, room was clean, cofee and tea provide everyday.
Service was efficient.
The location is good, its closed to downtown, and you can just walk to "place d'arme" or commercial malls.
Good hotel for the low price.
We had to leave the first hotel and had to make a last minute reservation here and it was great. We were traveling on a budget, so it was expensive for us, but the hotel was clean, the staff was great and everything was just fine.
I was very impressed with the service at the Days Inn. I sent an email a couple days prior to my arrival stating that I would be checking in early. I received an answer within minutes informing me that if they had a clean room when I got there they would be happy to accomodate my 11:00 AM arrival. Well,... plus
We booked a room for a one-night stay on a last-minute deal. Felt like it was probably a good value for the location, however the room itself was nothing to write home about. Despite our A/C struggling to keep the room cool and the vending machine being down. The room was clean, the hotel itself was clean and the staff was really friendly.
Nice hotel in a great central location. The rooms were ok, but the staff was great and really made our stay more enjoyable! I would stay there again! There is a great restaurant about a block away, Deno's, I highly recommend it!
My boyfriend booked this hotel for a last minute one night stay. I was a bit nervous when he told me he'd found a room downtown for $86 USD, but I couldn't be more pleased. I shall also recommend this place to others.

This hotel was in a great location. Just a block from all kinds of action and not to far from the Central Station. The old Montreal might be a little far but there are plenty of taxis and an excellente subway system.
The great thing with Montreal is that the accomodation prices are very reasonable if you compare those with cities like New York, London, Paris, and many other cities in the USA.

Got a very good and spacious corner room on 8th floor, very friendly and helpful reception staff, restaurant is average but with excellent service, design and decoration are somewhat dated... entrance/lobby looks shabby
It was a nice large room for a decent price. I did not have problems with anything, but I noticed others having problems. but since i had a good stay, it is no issue to me.
Well located for what I was doing in Montreal, walking distance to where I needed to go, excellent price, nice room, excellent bed, perfectly adequate bathroom, but don't expect goodies. Quiet too.
The main problem is that the rooms have no automatic temperature adjustment! So you need to turn on and off the heating system manually!! Imagine waking up at the middle of night freezing to turn it on or waking up to turn it off because the room is too hot!!!
I chose this hotel because of it location. It is close to Old Montreal, the bus stop is at the front door and the metro is only a 5 minute walk away. There is plenty of restaurants and a mall not far away. On entry to the hotel it looks very nice. I asked for a kettle as I am... plus

I was pleasantly surprised with Days Inn Downtown Montreal. Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Nice restaurant inside the hotel too. Definitely a great hotel to stay in Montreal.
A very basic hotel with no pool or exercise room and limited parking. However it was reasonably priced and very close to Old Montreal which was the highlight of our trip.
So my mother and I planned a trip to visit Montreal to see McGill and go on a tour. The hotel was in a good spot, walking distance to St. Catherine street. we liked the new updates on the looks of the lobby and common area. It seemed nicely done and attention given to a new look. This was our return trip from last year and most likely use the location as an comfortable and welcome return of future stays.
The room was adequate, but not the cleanest I've seen. Nothing terrible, but little things that make you want to wash your hands every five minutes just in case. Everything's satisfying and I've had a good staying at Days Inn downtown Montreal!
The room was quite comfortable and very clean. There was nothing wrong with the room. It was relatively small, but perfect for a place to sleep. The price was inexpensive by Montreal standards so I felt it was a real value.
This Days Inn was perfectly fine to stay in for our stay in Montreal - we had lived in the city previously so knew the good areas, but tourists with less experience in the region would probably want a more centrally located hotel (on Sherbrooke for example, there are many hotels between Crescent and Parc). This was definitely conveniently located in relation to Old Port, though, which is a very... plus

Excellent Location, everything was close by.The staff is really friendly. At the begining we had a bad experience but they fixed it right away. The room that they gave us smelled awful (smoking) they gave us another bigger and better one for the same price. The parking is 20 per day plus tax, we drove 5+ hours so we didn't have the energy to search for another cheaper parking nearby, if any.
Close to Montreal downtown, clean and comfortable room.
Very nice, I would book again. about a mile away from the Bell Centre, nice walk, very safe
this hotel was easy to get to. clean, our room was large, we had a few drinks in their bar, and had a nice breakfast. parking was by valet, for the same amount you would have to pay in a parking garage.it is about a mile or so from the bell centre, the metro was 2 short blocks away. we will stay there again the next time we go to Montreal
Place needed an extra something. Maybe a paint job, new carpeting. Hotel help was so, so. No one goes out of their way. Certainly not as efficient as the previous hotel we stayed in.
Good price, for such a great location. The hotel itself is OK....the room was clean....the bed was not so great.....no extras such as breakfast. I write this review while I am still at Days Inn, Montreal. So that means the wireless internet service works fine. The rooms are OK for the price.

Breakfast in the small dining area was okay and convenient. They charge about $15 extra per day for parking. Don't leave anything in your car. Second time staying here. First time had a nice suite with pleasant open view on Rue Rene Levesque, which is the preferred side.
