Decorosa sistemazione per chi vuol vedere il Point Pelee National Park
Nice staff. Quite clean premises. Only complain is that breakfast is not the typical continental breakfast. Usually for this price range we get quite a good breakfast.
Les chambres sont propres mais petites ou trop de meubles mais les matelas permettent de bien dormir L'ascenseur pratique et la piscine agréable.
My son found hairs in his bed also in the shower the TV could be updatedThe continental breakfast was good
Beds in all 4 rooms were extremely hard. The pool was broken which we were told on check in. We were not offered a discount but the other family members asked and received a 10 percent discount. Three times in a two night stay one of our rooms had to get replacement keys for the room door. Shower was hot, good water pressure, good shower head .
Great stay. Friendly staff and easy to check in and check out
It was convenient. The power was out but the members of the staff were most accomodating and helpful.
knowledgeable staff, speedy check in/out. Lots of parking... pool is tiny but it still has a pool! Only complaint is the pillows suck but overall a good nights sleep
Over priced for the outdated rooms...TV didn't even work
We stayed in the family suite. Lots of room, with kitchen and 3 queens. Clean and comfortable.
I felt the room was a bit damp and maybe the rooms need a little bit of fresh air; and as far as cleanliness, it was OK. Location was excellent as everything was close by, and down the street which is 10 minute drive, you could take the kids for a swim in Lake Erie or a walk along the beach.
check in was ok the girl at counter was nice and helpful, Room was dirty, The cost wasn't worth the stay, I left the next day.
Pool could be cleaner, rooms we're clean and fair size for price, bathrooms in great shape and clean.
Rooms were old, stuffy. Terrible TV, small bed. When we arrived a hose was running through the lobby filling up a tiny pool Would not recommend this property.
Not near water, not near town. Could not find anything due to long weekend, so took a chance on Expedia - not a big mistake, but an unfortunate turn. The entire location felt and smelled old. The room, which we had to swear not to smoke in, smelled musty, and probably a former smoke room
The Days Inn was great! The room was very nice and the location was excellent. It also had pool that I didn’t use, however after a long day, it is something I definitely will need next time!
Didn't get the room I paid for. Hotel staff said in was Expedia's fault. The 90's décor was really tacky. The bed was super uncomfortable. We heard every sound from the hall. The bathroom had been renovated and was clean as was the rest of the room.
I cannot believe this motel is considered a "2 star" motel. It was much nicer than some 3 star motels that I have stayed in before. Completely satisfied with it.
Location is good, nice pool, kids love it. but the room has smell of cigarettes.
A very functional stay, not too many frills but satisfactory overall. Clean and close to Pelee . Breakfast was very basic , room and pool was quite small, no elevator except for a manned tiny one not generally available. Wifi was quite good.
There was some confusion over the room type at check in but it was resolved quickly and we had a pleasant stay.
The Howard Johnson in Leamington, Ontario is a good solid hotel in a convenient part of town. . The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. This all came at a very reasonable price.
Every so often me and my boyfriend will visit our family in Leamington. For the past few years, we have stayed at the other hotel down the road but decided to change it up this year since our last stay was a bad experience. When we arrived at the hotel, we were pleased with the staff. The young lady at... more
badly run. room not made up until 5.30. nobody in breakfast room, out of coffee, oj & bread. only one light in room. 'hot' breakfast means frying pan & some eggs. better hotel previous night for $100. this place was $130. Won't be back.
A little late with this review...stayed 2 nights late April-early May to attend my son's funeral. Have to agree with other reviewers that staffing is definitely a huge problem. There is only one person on duty and that single person does everything from check-in, check-out, tend the "bar", operate the "lift" (not licensed as an elevator), monitor the breakfast room,... more
I stayed 2 nights when they were transitioning from Howard Johnson to Days Inn franchise. While the building is in relatively good shape, the quality of room cleaning was terrible. I am not sure if they didn't use a vacuum, or the vacuum they use doesn't pick up anything. Either they were short staffed and had allocated only 5 minutes per room for cleaning, or the cleaning person didn't know... more
Too expensive for what they are offering. It is not worth $154 a night
at check in, nobody was initially there at the desk. me and my co worker were very impatient as the girl from the front desk was assisting all the customers at the bar. the poor girl seemed to be running more than just the front desk. the price of the room was fair considering that a continental breakfast was included.... more
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
We made use of the pool and whirlpool which was very relaxing. The free breakfast was very good. the staff was courteous and friendly. We recommend a stay here.
We went in a business trip and stayed at this hotel. Not a bad experience, it had everything it should. Not super "new and improved" but also nothing to complain about, except maybe the breakfast, that could maybe offer something else besides sugar. But as a continental breakfast is still ok. Not fancy, not bad, prices ok.
the fitness room was not working and the sauna didn't work. They charged me a early check in fee but returned it because of the situation. Staff was friendly
I stayed there from Jan 27th for 10 days on a business trip and was pleasantly surprised at how good and clean the rooms were and updated. The hotel was well kept and staff were very friendly. The only bad thing was the free breakfast, the coffee tasted like hot water and the toast was horrible other than that the... more
We stayed there for a hockey tournament. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. They let our team use the pool well after it was scheduled to close as we returned late from supper. unfortunately an employee at the desk told us that we would receive a discount at the Italian restaurant across the street if we... more
Before my husband and I visited this hotel, we decided to read some reviews on tripadvisor. I was unsure about going to this hotel because of all the negative comments but we had decided to go anyways because of all the facilities they offer.... heated pool, hot tub, sauna, continental breakfast etc.... I am so glad we gave this hotel... more
This hotel provided us with a comfortable, rather large room, clean, good bedding, clean bathroom, decent breakfast.
Our complaints are the fact that the heat was turned up much too high and could not be turned down to a comfortable level; we also disagree with the old-time fashion of providing each room with a bible. In this time and age...

This was a short-notice trip, and everything was ready and waiting when I arrived. The room was quite good, and very comfortable. Due to travel date, the hotel was quiet and very empty, however the staff was wonderful and friendly!
Positive: Good parking. Efficient check-in. Friendly staff.
Negative: One of the bedroom electrical outlets did not work, the bathroom sink drained very slow and the faucet dripped if I didn't get it set at just the right position.
I also didn't like that an extra $2 / night "environmental fee" was added even though it was not included in the...

Everything at this hotel was all right until I got to the room....front desk was fine, the handicapped elevator ride to the 2nd floor was fine, but the mattress was as hard as the floor. I never knew you could buy a mattress that was like sleeping on the floor. They could use some well placed fragrance sprays as the... more
This motel is reasonably clean and roomy. Convenient to get to and close to all amenities. However, if you are looking for a comfortable bed, you may want to look elsewhere. I like a firm bed, but found these to be very hard. I could not get a good night sleep on these beds. Pillows are flat and too soft....... more
Did not like the options for breakfast.
My husband and I have stayed here several times in the last few years, the last time about a year ago, and we were always happy. Not too impressed this time. I had booked the 3 queen bed efficiency suite for my family almost 2 weeks in advance through their website, guaranteed with a credit card, and when we arrived... more
the hotel was nice but the tub had a scummy ring in it,and the room could stand to be vacuumed around the walls and behind furniture. otherwise very nice
The lights in my bathroom flickered the entire time, the staff could not fix it. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, but there was a decent pool and fitness area.
The rooms here are quite dated and uncomfortable. The queen beds are too small and the blankets are still 1970s style. For $110 a night which this place charges, we get 3-star hotels in major cities.
It is the lack of quality hotels in Leamington which forced me to stay here.
Quite good! My wife got quite ill over night, and needed to go to the Leamington ER. The hotel management were kind enough to allow my mother-in-law to stay, have breakfast, read, relax, until Pam was discharged around noon. It was appreciated that accommodation was made for our unforeseen extended stay. Thanks to the person on reception duty Sunday Oct.13 for her understanding. Jim Osborne I... more
Convenient location and parking. Brightly lit hallways and comfortably spacious rooms. Computer in lobby slow, but wifi was fast enough. Breakfast was good and wholesome, with waffles, milk, juice, coffee, fruit, yogurt, cereal, instant oatmeal, and breads for toasting. Would stay again if in the area.
was a great expierence.staff were great at helping us with directions.to different places to go and see. the pool was very refreshing after a long day of sight seeing.enjoyed our stay and would stay again. thank you
Visit Leamington this summer, and stay at this hotel. Must say that hotel is very nice. Rooms are very clean, and overall hotel is very clean too. Flat tv in rooms, microwaves and fridges in every room. Beds very comfortable. Price for what you get very fair. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Only let down was pool closed for maintenance....

The hotel was fine - a lot of work was clearly being done on it, although that was not obtrusive at all. What made our stay special was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, from the woman at the front desk who was most warm and went out of her way to be helpful on several occasions - to... more
This was our first visit to Leamington.
We decided to stay at the Howard Johnson Inn.
The price is high for what you get.
The staff are rude.
The pool was dirty. They weren't even running the filter system for the pool. As we were swimming in the pool, you could see hair and other dirt particles in the water....

I have stayed at this hotel in the past as it is always clean and the continental breakfast is very good. As a business traveler, I spend a lot of time on the road and look forward to a quiet evening. This time there was a baseball tournament in town and the hotel seemed to have all the 10 and... more
This hotel was sub standard and very dirty: mild dew in our fridge and spit gobs on the walls. It was noisy between the hours of 2300-0700, no hotel personel monitoring anything going on in the facility. The rooms have "no pets" posted on the doors but we listened to a dog barking night and day in the room next... more
The hotel needs to be updated. The stairwell has carpet on the walls. A phone was ringing all night long.
Comfortable, quiet, clean. Has wifi; Overall great stay, 2 nights.
Would not stay again. Needs a face lift. You get what you pay for.
We decided to make our first trip to Point Pelee National Park and needed some place close to stay in the small town of Leamington. Not much choice for brand name hotels so we choose the Howard Johnson based on a reasonable price.
Room was well furnished with a microwave and fridge and two queen beds.
TV was a bit...

The hotel was clean and the special rate was good. I would not pay any more for the hotel than I did. The front desk service was less than acceptable.
The pool and sauna are nice and well kept. There was often no one at the desk. Breakfast was OK - very little fruit.
Great experience. Helpful friendly staff. Nice pool :)
it was a great place to stay at, our main focus was going to point pelee so only 20 min drive from there. found the mattress sort of soft. hot breakfast served would have been nice as we went out for breakfast on the next day/checkout. we would return, a great stay overall.
My family stayed here for two nights. We would have liked to stay longer. We enjoyed the three queen bed suite. This was great! The children were able to watch their own tv while we had ours. The room had a full kitchen and dining area. We also had a private jacuzzi tub. Thumbs up for the staff. They were... more
We stayed three nights with friends. The Staff especially Paul S. was extremely helpful in helping us to get together and play cards in the bar area and helping us with directions and any other requests. The Staff was the best.
Thr hotel was good but iam very disgusted to see that the lady cleaning cleaned the toilet with the same brush as the counter and sink and walked in the hallway dripping water from that brush on the carpet. THAT WAS DISGUSTING.
If you are going to Leamington and looking for accommodations, definitely pass this one up!! The hotel is definitely in need of new management. My list of complaints...
- dirty carpets
- rooms stink
- coffee maker and cups IN THE BATHROM NEXT TO THE TOILET!!
- elevator only works if an employee puts the key in for you... if...

We stayed at the HOJO overnight in order to get to Pelee Island early the next day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even helped us get our bicycles into our room as our vehicle's bike rack didn't have a lock on it. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Carpet needs some shampooing. Needs more selections for breakfast, maybe bagels with cream cheese. waffles were really good.
The room was clean and we had lots of towels. It was convenient having a small refridgerator in the room for the pop we brought with us. The beds were very hard and my mother kept waking up through the night because of a sore back. It was nice that it included a continental breakfast, so we didn't have to look for a restaurant, but there were few choices. It was ok for one night and when you're... more
The pool, hot tub and free breakfast makes this an affordable and pleasant place to stay while in Leamington, especially with children. The hotel looks great from outside, once we opened up the room the room was damp and musty so we immediately opened the windows to air it out. The beds are a tad uncomfortable, to be brutally honest I didn't have a great sleep. Like some other reviews the rooms are getting tired. The room was clean upon our arrival.... more
I stayed here a few months ago, and was not impressed. The tv remote barely worked, the jacuzzi was 10 degrees too cold and had jets that barely circulated the water. I stayed here with my family for one night on the 17th of July. As I have a family of 5, I always book a family suite that will sleep everyone. In this case I booked a room with two queens and a pull out sofa well in advance. Upon check in, I was given a bed with two queens... more
The hotel fine, the service was fine the staff was pleasant and the owners were always on duty. The breakfast was great more than we expected. and my son and husband enjoyed the pool.
Carpet in room needed replacing, dirty sock found next to bed and discarded pizza left on floor by side entrance door. Housekeeping did the main cleaning, but then did not replace coffee, cups, etc. Overall however this is probably one of the nicer establishments in Leamington.
The room was cleaned each day and fresh towels. The pillows were comfy. Very happy with the stay.
The room was clean and comfortable, however, the lobby and breakfast area were not well kept.
As in real estate business they say Location, location and location. Kids loved the pool and we enjoyed the lounge. Serice was EXCELLENT, rate were... more
the hotel is looking tired. there was dried mud on the stairs. the fridge in the room had been turned to min. therefore, it was warm. It took a while to cool it down. We had multiple rooms reserved for a wedding. All of the guests commented on the poor service....from the initial phone reservations to the musty/chemical smell of the rooms...to having to request the elevator from the front desk.
The hotel room was clean & the bed comfy. The hotel is in need of sprucing up inside. I did read a comment that this is scheduled for sometime this year, so I knew beforehand that it's dated decor. It has a pool that was great & it's across from Armando's which is a very good restaurant.
We stayed at this hotel in February 2013 during family day weekend and found our stay comfortable. The pool area has a large swimming pool, sauna and hot tub. The bar has a pool table. Overall pleasant experience. The staff is excellent and the rooms are spacious and clean. The children had good time.
I have stayed at this locale over the years twice, three times a year and have seen it changed from good to average. Now it is getting to poor.
Breakfast has become carbs plus carbs, a little fibre. Very poor. The tiny toiletries were used. Imagine giving someone used stuff.
As with the other reviews, the hotel itself is in dire need of an update. The furniture looks as though it came out of the 80's and the carpet is beyond saving (even the carpet on the walls going up the stairs). Having said that, the staff are excellent there and do their very best to accommodate. Like the title... more
Spent two nights at the Howard Johnson. Very quiet, the service was very good. An older hotel so things are a bit dated but was comfortable.
very convenient place to stay if you go bird watching in Point Pelee, expensive though. Breakfast start 4:30am, although some food run out at about 5:30am.
Overall I would give this hotel a thumbs down for a couple reasons. The first being the cost, I realize that this area has a high demand for hotel space during the birding season at Point Pelee National Park, but there is nothing special about the hotel. Stairwells were in need of a paint job, staffing seemed sparse as the front desk person was nowhere to be found when I first went to check in.... more
We stayed at this hotel a couple of weekends ago for a family wedding. I spoke to the owner & he stated he was the new owner. Could have been cleaner and the beds need new mattresses. We needed toilet paper, but the person available didn't know where it was or could not find it. The rate was rather high for the area. It was before tourist season started.
Booked the hotel for the kids to have a pool. Pool hours begin at 6am and did not open until after 11am (when we are supposed to check out). outdated hotel. Breakfast was stale rock hard bread and very cold coffee! Front desk clerk rude. Elevater not working!
This place used to be great but they need to realize it's not new anymore. My last visit I did not recognize any of the staff which used to be a perk of coming to this place. Room was still the same and a great size however the furniture is dated and I'm pretty sure the covers on the bed... more
I gave stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last month and a half. I would not stay anywhere else in Leamington. For the price you could not ask for a more comfortable, clean or convienent hotel. The staff us fantastic. If you are going to Leamington Hojo's is the place to stay.
We were up there in November for a hockey tourney, and some hotels can be very strict on rules with younger players in hotels. I am not sure if it was because the manager had just left the job and there was a fill in or if this is the normal.
But the kids were allowed to have free rain...

Little bit more money than it should be per night for just average. Breakfast needs to open sooner and stay open a little later. A few door lock issues. Only 1 ice machine on the first floor which is a pain.
