Centrally located. 78 rooms and suites. Free breakfast and Internet. Salt water pool, whirlpool, fitness room. Meeting space available.
Really good service. Room is clean and spacious. Breakfast was decent and they kept refilling the food.
I passed through Barrie twice. First time was in a non smoking room in the back and it was terrific.Second time [...]mistakenly booked me in Smoking room in the front. Room was horrid and there was a spotlight glaring in the window all night.
Staff was very nice and helpful. The room was big and comfortable. The workout room had newer machines and free weights. Very nice surprise! Breakfast had plenty of options for the health-conscious business traveler. The only improvement I would suggest is that the door to the hall and the door to the adjoining room could be sealed better to buffer noise. Overall, a nice stay. I will stay... more
I would like to say that I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Stella and her staff provided my group of 21 people excellent customer service. I was able to entertain my staff in the lounge without any problems. We were able to bring our own food without any problems as well. The rooms were very clean and reasonably... more

Well, we travelled off peak so you'd expect the hotel to be quiet but this was so quiet you could hear a pin drop! After travelling 19 hours to get here from home, the whirlpool was the place to head to. The only people in the pool were my 2 children while we relaxed in peace in the adjacent whirlpool-bliss!... more
This hotel is certainly a bargain for city hotels. It is clean, hospitable, has a pool and hot tub and the staff are more than kind and cheerful! The pool/hot tub combo was a nice way to relax after a long day in the city. Breakfast was included and a very nice array. Fruit, yogurt, eggs, everything you could ask... more
this is a clean, well kept, friendly, place to stay in the heart of barrie, highly recommended,,,and great price, great breakfast..
My family and I found this hotel to be enjoyable and wonderful. The staff were helpful and very nice. Upon our checkin I belive the front desk reception lady was Sarah was very nice she gave our family pet treats and our son cards. The next day our teenage daughter was having trouble with the internet and I think that... more
Pros: * it didn't rain in my room, and I wasn't mugged Cons: * lots of noise from the hall * the heating/cooling unit had no thermostat on it, just various levels of red or blue that you could set it to. It's nearly impossible to achieve a setting that doesn't need to be constantly readjusted as the room changes... more
I recently stayed 2 nights at this hotel based on the glowing reviews left here by previous visitors. I can confirm what has already been said, this place is very clean with a newish feel to it still. Room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable with fresh linen. I do however have a couple of minor complaints. I... more
Overall this Hotel had everything, and was great for the room we had. There were only two minor difficulties. The first one is the two Queen Bed mattresses are to hard. The second would be how the bathroom door opens up into the bathroom and blocks the way into the Shower/Tub. One of the best things about this Hotel is... more
This was my second stay here and this is my second review..... I am writing another review nearly 18 months after my first initial stay here as this Hotel deserves all the credit it can get and should be number 1 on TripAdvisor, not number 4 as stated, so the more reviews the higher the Ranking !! The stay was... more
Six of my colleagues and I stayed at Days Inn Barrie in late May 2009. After initially contacting daysinn.com, Tone from this location got in touch to inform me of a better rate and was in constant communication with me over a period of 7 months from the initial email to our actual stay. All of the rooms were exquisite... more
We stayed at the Days Inn Barrie while passing through on our way north to Sudbury. We weren't necessarily looking for more than a good place to rest, but we were very impressed with the hotel. The staff were super-friendly and went out of their way to give restaurant and activity recommendations (even several restaurant discount cards). The pool and spa were well-maintained, and our room... more
Beautiful hotel with excellent and friendly staff. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Would defiantly stay there again. Business faculties are first class.
Excellent team of staff members who are always helpful and resourceful! Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms with wireless internet and cable TV. Highly recommended!
We stayed at the Days Inn for one night. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. When I called for information about being pet friendly, Tone made me aware of the cheaper internet rate. When we arrived, with our two labs, they were each given a doggie treat bag. The room was clean and roomy. The lobby is bright and... more
This Days Inn is fairly new so I knew it would be a decent stay. It is your typical middle of the road hotel that met our needs for one night. I do think it was overpriced though - $180 for a suite with a king bed in the bedroom and a pull-out sofa in the living room. The breakfast... more
I stayed at this hotel for 1 month while attending Fire Service training from mid Nov to mid Dec.The hotel staff looked after any request or minor issue very promptly. The rooms and all amenities were very clean and well kept. The breakfest was always geared toward healthy eating(fruit, whole grain breads, boiled eggs, etc). At the end of each day a work out in the... more
This was one of the better hotels that we stayed at in Canada. Clean, tidy, and well located with very reasonable prices. We stayed here for three nights and found it convenient for access to the local area. I would recommend it highly.
Stayed at the hotel on a business trip from California. My plan was to stay at the hotel for a few nights until I can find a long term accommodation but instead stayed at the hotel for more than 3 months. The location, friendly and courteous day and night staff made me decide to stay at the hotel for the... more
We recently participated in a soccer tournament in Barrie and had the pleasure of staying at the Days Inn, Barrie. The staff were incredibly accomodating and communication prior to our visit was wonderful. The absolute best part was the continental breakfast we were provided on the Sunday morning. As well, it was nice to allow the parents to visit in... more
The hotel has excellent access to the highway. Hotel staff very pleasant and accomodating. Room was standard size, beds very comfortable and clean. Common areas in hotel also very clean. Cleanliness is very important to our family. Free breakfast was good. I would stay again. The only complaint I would have is that the salt water pool was not very... more
For a $100 CAD?night you can't get much better than this. Spotless clean right next to the highway but no noise, supermarkets, gas stations, cleaners, star***ks (if you don't like coffee), Fish n Chips and much more all less than 5 minutes away. Perfect for business travellers or explorers LOVED IT
Booked two nights over a long weekend, for a ski trip. The hotel stay&ski package was attractive and actually saved us a lot of time when purchasing the ski passes at Mt St Louis (due to vouchers being processed by guest services, and not general ticket sales). But I digress. The hotel: relatively close to the highway (can still see... more
Stella and her team truely took care of us - it is that little extra that goes a long way! They made it home for us "away from home". We stayed at the Days Inn Barrie for 3 weeks and what a pleasure - from the cleanliness of the rooms, the gym, the pool and the on-site laundry room, to... more
Days Inn, Barrie was an ideal base for our 9 day trip to see our family living nearby in Innisfil and at Niagara. Unusually mild, sometimes hot, weather allowed lots of sightseeing, including Thanksgiving weekend events. Days Inn, Barrie fully lived up to its website claims with special mentions for beds and breakfasts. Staff always on hand to pick requests... more
Arrived before noon, dead tired. Were able to give us our room right away, no problem. Staff were great, hotel beautifully clean, well taken care of. Rooms very nice. Kids LOVED pool, no problem that they went 3x the first day, Front Desk gave out the towels every time with a smile. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation, good value... more
I booked this hotel on the strength of the outstanding reviews that had been written on tripadvisor. And we were very pleased with our choice. To say this hotel is exceptional is an understatement. It is literally 'spotless'. I have never stayed anywhere that is so wonderfully clean and fresh. Although several years old, because it is maintained to such... more
We were VERY disappointed with staying in Barrie's days inn. The room is newer but too many mosquitos inside. Each one of us got at least 5 bites after the stay. Plus the breakfast is very simple. could not compare with other Inns we have stayed. Would not stay again!
My family and I stayed at the Days Inn on Essa Road in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. The hotel has easy access and loads of restaurant choices are available at the next exit. The room featured a refrigerator and microwave oven, shampoo, conditioner and soap. The a/c unit was a bit noisy. There were plenty of fluffy towels and nice sheets.... more
I was extremely fortunate to be a guest at the Days Inn is Barrie Ontario. I had a week to spend with my daughter before leaving for another country and I had to leave another motel that was far less than even acceptable. The days inn staff accomadated us from the minute that we called and gave us a wonderful... more
I spent a night with my two young children. The room was spotlessly clean, very fresh looking. It was pristine. Staff were very helpful and professional. Pool was very clean. Really liked the hot tub. I recommend it highly!
Very friendly staff. Clean and new rooms. Breakfast the next day was good. Coffee, bagels, yogurt, fruit & cereal. The best part of all was the salt water pool. No chlorine smell. Very relaxing. We had been snow tubing for the day, so the hot tub was a welcome change from the cold outside. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
I just had to write a review of this place after staying here on New Year's Eve, 2006. The rooms were clean and modern looking. The bed was quite comfortable with really nice sheets. I have stayed in quite a few hotels and was thinking that this place was going to be more of a old motel, considering the name... more
I booked two rooms for my daughter for her birthday sleepover. also booked a party room for the Sunday so we could have a "pool party". When we arrived we saw that a hockey team were staying there. I was worried when they would not move out the way in the parking lot for us to drive through. I was... more
We had several rooms booked with this hotel for a sports tournament we were attending with our child and her team. The rooms were very large with 2 queen size beds (which I have to admit were the most comfortable beds I think I have ever slept in), fridge and microwave. Exceptionally clean and the room was a perfect temperature.... more
We stayed at the Days Inn for one night. We were 2 adults and 2 children, 12 and 9yrs of age. The Days Inn is fairly new (2003) and it shows. Upon your arrival you are greeted courteously. We showed up early 11am and our room wasnt ready, we did expect this since check in is closer to 3pm. No... more
We recently stayed at this hotel, as it was the hotel booked by the organization hosting our special event. We stayed there 2 years ago, and were not impressed, so last year, during this annual event, we stayed elsewhere. This year, we decided to give them a second chance. During our previous stay, we reserved our rooms a month before... more
As a small new home builder who has had need to temporarily house buyers whose home construction is delayed, we have found the Days Inn Barrie to provide exceptional service and beautiful surroundings. They have been flexible in terms of room availability to us, even around busy holidays. The front desk staff are very professional and kind. The fact this... more
DO NOT STAY HERE - guest are not treatly equally or with respect. The hotel asks you to sign an agreement of behaviour yet does not follow the rules themselves. This form states clearly that quiet time is from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. In my case, a party was allowed to continue until 3:00 a.m. beneath my room. Hotel... more
When 4 adults cannot have a normal conversation in a 1 bedroom suite with no music and no TV without a noise complaint at 11:30 on a Friday night there is a problem. When 1 person leaves that suite to go outside to smoke and returns to find a security guard with his ear literally pressed against our door it... more
