We visited the Dawson Art Gallery in July 2013, and were fortunate to see a show by Nicole Bauberger, a talented artist who painted every 50 miles of the route from locations in Ontario, Canada to Alaska. All round great place to visit. Great place to see local artists and local artisans. The art gallery is an awesome venue for music talent of local musicians.
A lovely art gallery, but even more interesting because of the history of the building. Who'd of thought you could renovate a grain elevator into some this beautiful. They also have a lovely gift shop with great jewelry. By donation - give generously!
The Art Gallary is in an old grain elevator by the old train depot and railroad tracks. It's a fun eclectic collection of local artists and contests. There are some unique items for sale also. Regional Juried Art Exhibit, showcasing artists from Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, Ft Nelson, Tumbler Ridge , Hudson's Hope, and Ft St John. Well worth attending!
We spent several days exploring Dawson Creek, CouchSurfing with locals, and visited the art gallery on a stormy and rainy afternoon in the middle of July. What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be.

I go to the Dawson Creek Art Gallery at least once a month. It's a beautiful building, the art is always changing and it's a great place for gift shopping. Alana and Melissa are friendly and helpful. We take all our visitors there.
